Chicago interview yesterday was easy. Door number written on our receipt and receptionist told us where to sit to hear our number called. My husband got called at exactly our appointed time. 30 minutes later was done and passed. 30-60 days to return for oath ceremony. Six questions, a couple of sentences to read/write. IO struggled with English. My husband had a hard time understanding his thick foreign accent but they got along well. Glad we went the online filing route. Congrats to all others who passed yesterday and good luck to all who are still waiting.

Passed! 30 minutes. 1-2 months to get oath ceremony invite. Very fast.

Hi, you are right - the interview is on Tuesday, December 19th! We had our biometrics in Waukegan, about 10 minutes away. Congress Parkway in downtown Chicago is where everyone goes for the interview. About 40 minutes for us. If any of you are there on Tuesday, our interview is at 10:30 - lunch??
I never got any email or text regarding the interview notice.

Keep checking the website for updates - and make sure to look at the "re-visit the new account experience" link at the top. That is where I found the notication about the interview being scheduled on Monday. Today the document showed up as an attachment there. I am really surprised his interview is so soon!

Hi, can someone update the list for us? Surprise, surprise...our interview date is Tuesday, December 18th!! The website predicted his interview would be next September, but got an update this morning. Good luck to everyone!

Hi, I am an online filer. Just as an fyi when checking your case status online. I tried the "new user experience' site and it gave me interesting information. "Estimated case completion date: September 2018 (11 months)."

Hi, FYI, our biometrics was scheduled for October 3, but we walked in to the office on Wednesday (the 27th) and they let us do them early. Very professional and fast. They only took fingerprints of the right hand and one photo. Received a study guide for the 100 questions that could be selected for the interview. You only need to get 6/10 correct. Also a reading and writing test.

Can someone please update the table so I don't screw it up? NOA received September 14th, Biometrics appointment on October 3rd. Original GC date is 8/15/2014. We applied online but will go to the Chicago office for intervier. Thank you!!

We just submitted our N400 application today online. So much easier than filling out paper forms!

FYI -got the green card in the mail yesterday. It was send USPS priority (sent on June 30) and it did NOT show up in USPS Informed Delivery Daily Digest email....so check the mail box every day. Good luck to all who are still waiting.

Well, it finally happened!! Email (actually THREE of them!) last night saying CARD/DOCUMENT PRODUCTION!! I updated the list below, but can't figure out how to make my line green. Good luck to everyone - it just takes time...and patience...and maybe a glass of wine!

I'm tempted to schedule an Infopass appointment just to get a status update from an USCIS officer in person.
Yes, ours is June 6th so I filled out the 'out of normal processing time' form 3 weeks ago. When I submitted the form, I got a pop-up that said we would get a response by May 20th. Still waiting! Also, flew in from Germany last month into Chicago and asked the custom agent there whether the expiration date for re-entry is the NOA date (june 6, 2017) or the green card date (august 2017). He said everyone interprets it differently so to be safe, use the earlier date and get an InfoPass before you travel out of the country again. I will post if I get any response by the 20th. I am guessing that even if I do get a response, it will say 'we are still working on it'. Good luck, everyone!

Good luck there! I called 5 times to cancel mine but because I didn't have the PIN (which only pops up when you make the appointment - if you don't write it down, you can't get it again) I couldn't cancel it. I talked to tier 2 and they kept transferring me. I finally gave up. I feel bad that I wasted someone's time, but I couldn't get anyone to help me.

Hi. Just to let everyone know. I spoke with a USCIS officer this morning. Actually I spoke with a few. Your green card officially expires on the date listed on your extension letter. In our case, it is June 8 of this year. They recommended that we get an info pass appointment end of April or early May if we hadn't heard anything to get his passport stamped. I think there is confusion on this forum about when the green card officially expires. Hope this will help.

I completely forgot about that. I will cancel that appointment. Green card's extension letter gets us through mid-August, so I guess I can get an INFOPASS appt. in mid-July. The extension letter doesn't 'expire' does it?

My husband had POE at O'Hare in December of 2013. No problems at all, just had to wait for an available customs officer to review the packet (don't open the packet!!!, let them do it) and stamp his passport.
