My fiancee lives in Cambodia but last year worked in Thailand. When she went to Thailand to work the people who helped her used a different last name and birthdate for her (god only knows why) and I just found out after filing the I-129F in July. Will this cause an issue and if so what can I do now. She will have to get a police record from Thailand because she was there for a year and that will have this other name used and the wrong birthdate. What should we do?

My ex can't take my daughter in or out of Canada without a signed notarized consent letter from me. Many airports do ask for such a thing. I had a friend who used to have to travel with her first husband's death certificate whenever she went across the border with her son.
The OP needs to get this figured out soon.
Canada is different because of agreements between the US and Canada. I've flown with my son to the Bahamas, Mexico and other countries and never once been asked to show consent from his mother, who doesn't live with nor travel with us.
I still don't think it is right for her to just remove the child without consent from the father. And if she ever plans to come back to the US she shouldn't or she could have legal issues if he seeks aid from the authorities.

win what? If she wants to take her child back home she needs to have a custody agreement, she cannot simply take the child with her.
Legally she can't, but they won't stop her if she has a passport for the child. It'd be nice if airports did require something when a child is traveling with one parent, but they don't.

If you have a US or Philippines passport for the baby you will be able to leave the country without any problem, BUT it is illegal to do so without the other parents consent. So just because they won't stop you doesn't make it legal.
Removing a child from the United States against another parent's wishes can be considered a crime in every U.S. state. In some cases an abducting parent may be charged with a Federal crime under the International Parental Kidnapping Crime Act (IPKCA). This can be the case even when neither parent holds a custody decree prior to the abduction. From: http://travel.state.gov/abduction/prevention/prevention_560.html

I believe you would get it at the US Embassy in Vietnam. There may be a way to get it in the US too. Here is the info I found on the Vietnam US Embassy site. http://vietnam.usembassy.gov/notarials.html
Edit: After looking I only found the need for the Affidavit if getting married.

I was informed via email from the embassy in PP that Packet 3 will be mailed out to the "nominated mailing addres". I have no clue which they are referring to (petitioner or beneficiary). I am the petitioner and as of today it has been a week and I haven't received my packet 3 in the mail yet however I have submitted my packet 3 to them already base on the link provided in the email.
It will be interesting to know how long it will take for the actual hard copy of packet 3 to reach me in CA, USA. I assume this will be the same case when it's time for them to mail out the hard copy of Packet 4.
Yeah wish I knew too. I am thinking of changing my fiancee's mailing address with the embassy or USCIS to her cousin's in Phnom Penh since I think it would be easier for her to get the package than for them to try to send to her house. I'll also be downloading and completing Packet 3 docs beforehand so I don't have to wait for them.

I filed the I-129F towards the end of July and used my fiancee's address in Cambodia where she currently lives with her parents. She wants to go to Thailand and work while we wait for the NOA2 and the interview to be scheduled and I am wondering if this will cause any issues.
I'm pretty sure that when the Embassy receives her file the won't be able to mail her anything because of no real mail system where she is in Cambodia so I figured they'd call her and have her come pick it up. With her being in Thailand they'd only reach her parents.
Is any of this going to be an issue? I believe she is going to have to go to Thailand anyway to get a criminal record check since she worked there last year but I want to make sure her going back after I filed isn't going to cause delays or issues.

Wait for your NOA2.
Thanks!
Saw on the USCIS site (after posting) so I will wait: On July 29, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

Is this correct or should there be an Alien Number in the USCIS Alien Number box on my I-797C, Notice of Action hard copy?

I just got back from Cambodia and meeting my fiancee in person. While there we had an engagement ceremony with permission from the government for just an engagement ceremony. I was wondering if I should mention this in the "how we met" section and if I will be fine to include pictures of the engagement. I am a little afraid they may take it as a wedding ceremony when it wasn't and make me file the spouse visa instead. The words written on the wall behind us in the photos say engagement in Khmer and I can edit the photo to include this in English as well.
Thanks
What to include with I-134 and DS-160 Confirmation Page?

On OF 169 it says to mail the DS-160 confirmation page, I-134 and OF169 to the Consulate and I was wondering at this point should I include the tax transcripts and other proof of income or should I just take those to the interview when my fiancee goes?
