  1. Yes, you're right. DoS can only provide you with basic case status, without being on hold for 30-40 minutes. That was my point. Once you get your case number you can check the rest on line. Once your case is sent to the embassy, give it 5 business days, and if you don't receive any notification from your embassy, send them email. Keep in mind, this is all consulate specific. Some embassies don't send emails and send pocket 3 to the beneficiary. Moscow embassy sends out email to the petitioner with instructions.

Good luck to all of you.

  2. Hi, guys,

I filed in the end of July (July 26-petition date), got approved 62 days later and in 2 days received email that my case was shipped to NVC.

NVC received it and entered in the system pretty quickly (check my timeline for dates) and sent to the consulate in 2 days.

I was calling NVC and listened their on-hold message every day, but someone on this website advised me to call DoS phone number instead (202-485-7600) wait time is much shorter and they give you the same information. I received my case update from them.

Hang in there, guys. Your time will come too. Once your case is scanned by the NVC it will only takes few days before it is shipped to your embassy.

  3. The service centers seem to be on different time frames when it comes to sending out the cases to NVC. Mine was out of CSC and it took 43 days for it to get over to NVC... Looks like you are TSC so maybe you will have better luck. And calling DOS is much faster than calling NVC, same info but NO holding time! smile.png and just an FYI, once my case got to NVC it was gone off to Ghana the next day for us!! So if you do have a wait, likely NVC/DOS will be quick to send it out!

    Thanks for the information.

I tried calling them 3 times since last week's note that my application was forwarded to NVC. Every time I called I have to try 5-10 times before it gets connected (not busy) and average waiting time is like 30-40 minutes.

I asked them how the government shut down is effecting processing of our petitions USCIS and visas in the NVC. They said that it's not effecting it at all. good.gif

  4. It worked in my case. I was approved in 62 days NOA1-NOA2 .

You are not modifying call records, just filtering it to the relevant numbers/recipients. I don't think USCIS is interested in the whole call history of your Google Voice activity. You need to present them with evidence that you called.

When I submitted my call records I also attached print out of the contact information, displaying all phone numbers for my fiancee (mobile, home, work). It will show reviewer that the numbers you called are actually phone numbers for the beneficiary.

  5. Hi VJers

I filed in the end of July, got approved last week and received my NOA2 notice by mail today (62 days from NOA1-NOA2 :) ).

Also, today I received status update email stating that case was sent to NVC.

My question is how long does it take for NVC to receive and enter the case into their system to issue embassy case number?

Is there any website to track the status or just by phone with representative?

  7. That's exactly what we did. In putting this evidence of ongoing relationship, ii have a copy of my current bill as of Dec. 22 to today's date, and this shows all the calls coming from the Google Voice Number. I also took a screenshot of her Google Voice account settings which shows the Google Voice number (the US number), and also her name on the account. This will match the number on my call history in my phone bill.

Do I also need to add her call history? The reason being that I can't export the call history from Google Voice. I can only do screenshots, which will include about 7 pages of screenshots to match the time period as my call history. (total of about 75 calls smile.gif).

Please advise if the account settings is sufficient enough to match my call history. Also, if the time frame is also sufficient (12/22/2012-Present.

You can print Google Voice call history. I explained how to do it here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/427582-printing-google-voice-history/#entry6457391

    Good luck to you.

  8. I rented appartment from www.tripadvisor.com for about $105/night. Less than five minutes from subway. Supermarket is in the next building (about 500 feet away).

It seems better deal then hottel since you get a kitchen and washer, so no extra expenses for laundry, room service, or overpriced food. Kitchen was fully equipped, even spices. I prepared my own home made meals, instead of eating out all the time, which makes me sick often.

  9. I loaded whole Google call logs. Here is how:

After file is ready (you can select Email me when file is done) you can open it in Excel and extract data whatever you need.

I searched and copied only phone numbers what I called.
