Please let me Vent here and i apologize in advance..

Very frustrated with NVC now.. not sure what incompetent people they have working there or their system simply sucks!

Received a false checklist i guess after a review of my DS-260 documents that they haven't received my I-864. Which i submitted before DS-260 supporting documents but they couldn't open it for whatever goddamn reason and said that it was encrypted or password protected! This is crazy because i have opened those attachments from the same email from 10 different computers and it opens just fine!! any ways i re-submitted the entire package last Saturday.

In addition to the false checklist they are saying i havent submitted a proof of my canadian residency but i submitted copy of my passport! i still have that email! like for God's sake look at the attachments carefully! The girl on the phone said they dont have it so re-send it and allow another 20 freakin days for them to review... this is crazy!

Can somebody here advise what i should do? Re-send the copy of passport or simply ignore it? Or re-send the passport copy as well as canadian citizenship card??

I apologize again from my rant.. but i'm very frustrated right now.

Same here,, sent the forms and documents on feb 4. Received an email last week that they cant open one of my i864 document as its password protected or encrypted. I was like what?!!?!

Why would anyone do that? Anyways i resent them. Also i tried opening the pdf files i sent them from multiple computers and it opens just fine!

Ok when did u submit those documents? how long does case completion takes? any idea?

What does that mean? I opened all the files again for my computer and they were all fine.. I am going to try to open it from other computers and see whats the problem..

Have been trying to contact NVC for the last three days but first i was getting office closed due to weather message and now engage tone.. i have tried calling them atleast 50 times now..

tried opening it with other computers and it opens just fine.. not sure whats the issue here..

For Canadians - My case complete was April 15th 2013 and my interview was June 3rd, 2013. I did not send 2012 taxes with the AOS information and it was not asked for at the NVC stage. My husband filed for an extension and I brought the proof it was filed for, but that proof was not asked for at the interview. They simply asked to have my I-864EZ (since I did EP) and that was it. Other countries may ask to see the current year's taxes after the April 15th date, but Montreal did not.

Is it necessary to file I864EZ just because we do EP? I did EP in my case but filed I864 both from petitioner and a joint sponsor.

any advice on my above query?

be ready to spend 3-4 days to memorize it! it will save tons of time ahead..

not easy to predict... your table actually proves that there is no real pattern here..

depends on supply and demand rule..

from what i have read in other websites and predictions.. it will retrogress in 3-4 months..

Well, I Skyped with my wife tonight, and she called the embassy in PI while we were talking. They confirmed they received our case from NVC, and she asked if we could get an earlier interview. NVC scheduled our interview for March 10th, but the nice lady on the phone moved us up to February 25th. We didn't ask if there had been a cancellation or why they moved us up, just happily accepted and here we are.

Dwheels, you can change our interview date on the list I guess.

I got a checklist today for the same thing. But the only thing is my adjusted and gross incomes are the same number. So I dunno why they sent me checklist saying my income did not correspond.

thats wierd dunno whats going on with NVC.. i also have my total and adjusted income same.. i hope they dont send me a checklist..

In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal

income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.

It says pretty clearly which income to use if you filed 1040EZ. Find out which form you used to file taxes and then use the respective income..

Use Total (Gross) Income if you filed 1040 or 1040A

Use Adjested Gross Income if you filed 1040EZ

what did your checklist say exactly?

Nice one! We're at the same stage! May I ask, on the DS260 what did you put for the vaccination question? I note from your timeline that you haven't had the medical yet. Have you already had the vaccinations anyway? I think I'm going to chevk 'no' and explain that I'll be having them at my medical in two weeks.

I just completed the form and i put "No" with explanation that we will be getting it done with records before the interview.

quick update - after 3 hours of intense concentration.. i submitted IV package and emailed all the supporting documents..

hopefully no checklists please!!

i called them very early this morning 7am to be exact, no case number yet...

so i tried...

few minutes before 12mn,

was able to get thru and WOOOTTT....WOOOTT!!!!!

CASE NUMBER GIVEN !!!! for all 3 cases

too much excitement, i forgot to give our email address....

was able to get thru again, but still cant accept our emails, still lock, still in process...call back again tomorrow
