usually that means that they are looking at your case. you will soon get rfe or approval. all the best.

Hi Here. Ive been following this forum for about 6 months now. Thid id my first post.
Here's my dilema
I petitioned for my son and daughter on Jan 7th, 2013. At the time I was a permanent resident. On July 23rd, I became a USC and requested USCIS upgrade my petitions. I received documentation from USCIS informing me that cases were upgraded.
On Sep 4th, I received notifications that my cases were transferred to the Neberaska Service Center for processing. (Workload balancing). Based on how the approvals are going, I expect to get a NOA2 on or around Oct 4th 2013.
I called USCIS yesterday to speak to a tier 2 officer. he informed me that my cases are at the FBI for name check purposes and it usually takes about two weeks to complete.
has anyone ever had to go through the name check situation?
