I want to confirm all forms that are required for interview.
1) The first one is DS 156 or 160. Since we submitted DS-230 part I in package 3, we need to fill out DS 156 online, DS 156 K, DS 230 part I ( again ). We dont need DS 160, right?
2) I-134.
Thanks.
It's up to you. You can fill out DS156, 156K and 230 Part I. Or only fill out DS 160. And I-134 with your signature.

yes I am like HoaPhong and I called the Dept of state every few days, and they told me that the wait is for the consulate to schedule it, then notify the beneficiary. I will have Linh email them again. I have decided to go for the New Year holiday, (not the lunar) and go back again when her visa is in had as it could be 4 more months. We will take in the New year from a skybar and room overlooking the River and then take her parents to tour a bit in Thailand, Bangkok and Pataya and enjoy ourselves a bit of time together. I think that will reinforce us a bit for additional wait time.

You have to wait more 2 months later and call DOS or send email to Consulate around Feb 18 Be patient, have good results

I called DOS today and got the interview date. Note that, the Embassy schedules the interview date will not change status update date on CEAC website. Good luck for everyone that is still waiting for interview letter. Thanks Hoa Chuoi to reminding me to calll DOS.
Glad to know your good news. Good luck to both of you
-
You should try again, today send email to Consulate. If having nothing, tomorrow you can call DOS because my friend know her interview date via calling DOS (today, US time)
-
The embassy usually sends out the interview letter after 2 months of package 3. Then it will take 1 more month to get interviewed. For example, you sent the package 3 on December, then you usualy receive the interview letter( package 4) around February and your interview date is around March.
However, it has been 3 months for me from the date that I sent the package 3 to Embassy and I still do not receive the package 4 yet. It is so frustrated.
I Think you can ask Consulate today to ask your interview date. I think your interview date is around the end of December. Or you can call DOS to know your interview date. My friend sent P3 on Aug 21 and interview date is Dec 19. Good luck!
-
i want to announce a good news to every one who sent their P3 in August, you may be have interview date in December. Email to Consulate to ask your interview date because my friend sent her P3 on Aug 24 and her interview on Dec 2.
Luunguyen and Nguyen star can send your email to Consulate to ask them. Let's try and hope having good news.
-
HCM Consulate received your fiancee's P3 and she has to wait for 1.5-2 months to receive P4. And about 1 month later she will interview. We have to wait and wait. Many cases are waiting for P4 after sending P3 70 days. So pls be patient

This list is not made by yourself. You should have asked my permission before posting it.

Don't wait, do something!!! if it is over 4 weeks, you need to kick their behind a little bit. Here is what I did....
Look at my signature below. My case was stuck at TSC for 49 days. Done everything: call/email USCIS, NVC, DOS, Ombudsman, SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov, US Senators & Congressman (not really helpful, but still do it), Infopass... ect...
Finally, I called the TSC office of director directly. After pleading and explaining that no one knew exactly where my case is, the man who answered my phone call looked up my case and said: "it's here at TSC, but in the "wrong" place, Infopass can't even help you. He didn't explain where or what the "wrong" place was, and promised to fix it in a week. And it worked. They don't deal with application, but they could get greater access than those useless contractors with USCIS
My suggestion is to call, email, and fax directly to everyone on the list above (if you haven't), and call the TSC director office. Time ot carpet bombing them with your letters!

My case was shipped to the Embassy from the NVC on September 4. I am trying to track it using the directions provided here, and it does not work . I track by shipper's reference at DHL and it yields nothing . So, I put it this way: EXP 03 SEP 2013A. The shipment destination: Algeria. I also tried: EXP 04 SEP 2013A, for both tries the website gave me: "No result found for your query"
I think it will take 3-4 days to arrive your Consulate. So wait till tomorrow or the next Monday. When it arrives, you can see the arrival date, and receiver's name (example: the bodyguard's name, and his signature).

Don't forget the signed letter of intent to marry by both people.
Photos: 15 pages (double sided) x 8 photos/page. Some photos are collage (4 in 1)...
Well, you (State Department/USCIS) didn't say how many!

Mine is in transit to the Consulate. Good luck with your case.

I was playing around with the dates and I think NVC sends out their mails everyday.
For example:
Track by Shipper's Reference
http://www.dhl-usa.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html
Shipment Reference: EXP 29 AUG 2013A
Date range for shipment - From: 01-08-2013
Date range for shipment - To: 04-09-2013
Account number: (left blank)
Shipment destination: Vietnam
I was able to get the shipment result:
- picked up by DHL on Aug 30, 2013
- delivered to HCM by Sep 3, 2013
None of the September dates are working yet. Not sure why we need/want to do this since we can't track our individual case by this method, anyway.

Our timelines seem very similar, it took our case 4 weeks to be sent from Texas to the NVC but once we received a case number it was sent out just a week later. Hopefully yours is the same, it should be soon!
Our case was lost somewhere in TSC in 45 days, and we had to find phone numbers, emails to call, contact. So if anyone is same situation, call to TSC to push them, don't wait and see for their response.
-
It looks like it stayed there for about a week/a week and a half. It was sent to the NVC on August 14, we received a case number on the 19th, and was shipped on the 26th. I'm guessing the 19th is the day it was actually received at the NVC, so in that case it was a week.
Thanks for your reply. We had to wait for 50 days, and now wait for more Hoping out of NVC soon

Another question for the amazingly helpful community!
Got NOA2 on 8/21.
Got email on 8/30 that they shipped out approved application to NVC.
I'm not sure when NVC would actually have the application. They say 8 weeks but I'm hoping it's not quite that long. The guy I talked to today was quite rude and not very helpful.
Well, it depends... I got the email on Aug. 27, 2013 that my case was shipped to NVC. On Aug. 30, 2013, I call DOS and NVC, they got my case and gave me the case number. Hopefully it will be quick for you.
-
Got case number on Aug. 30, 2013 (NOA 2 on July 12, 2013). Hope to get pass NVC soon!
Hang in there Tina Xu

H&J: how long did your case stay at the NVC? Our case was sent to NVC on August 30, 2013.
Thank you all for your input-
I just checked our case status online again tonight, and it said "Your case is in transfer to the Consular Section." It looks like this means it's being sent to my fiance's country now?
That was quicker than I expected, such a relief!
Me&her, hope yours follows soon..

Our case was transferred to TSC from Vermon and approved on July 12, 2013. Got the hard copy, since then, there's nothing. I've been calling, emailing, writting letters to USCIS, TSC, Ombudsman, etc... and asked for help with my Senators and Congressman. It's the Texas Service Center that still has my case. I don't know what else I could have done! Any ideas?
-
Thanks for your information. We're still waiting for case number. 39 days.
-
Our case is still staying at TSC and hasn't shipped to NVC yet. You can see our processing time here
-
Hehehe our case hasn't shipped to NVC yet. Although my fiancee called, sent emails to USCIS, NVC, but they told him that your case had been shipped or processed. Until he came and met Supervisor of Local Immigrant Office, our case is still staying at TSC. At the bottom of the carton

We got an email from Senator and they said that found no record at the National Visa Center. The 6th week.

Merry Christmas. So sorry for you. But you can make an another Valentines day by yourself. Be happy because both of you will be together soon. And if you get pink on Jan 27, you also have to wait for visa, after Tet (lunar new year) because post office will be closed on Jan 28. Don't disappointed. Good luck! When did your fiance submit P3?
