  1. no its

never goes to back of line.it is put aside till they receive what there asking most time something simple

Ok, that calms me down. It was making me very sad

No you're not alone! :) :) And not yet. I'm not sure what it is that they asked for yet because I still haven't received the hardcopy, but I'm pretty sure it's the Letter of Intent because I forgot to send it in with my application. My fiancee is going to sent it with a friend that's coming on Saturday, so hopefully I'll be sending it in on Monday!

That's what I think it is too . And my sister will be traveling and can bring it for me :)

  2. Hey! I'm in the same boat as you! :( I was also transferred from VSC to TSC on June 21st and I got an e-mail last week that I would be receiving an RFE in the mail soon... But anyways, by what I have read after you mail in the RFE reply it should take about a month until approval! Lets keep our fingers crossed this waiting period ends soon!!

Yay, love knowing I'm not alone. Did you send back what they asked you for ?

  3. Check to make sure that you have everything signed, that you have the letters of intent both from you and from the fiance(e), that you completed every field on the forms (wrote n/a or none to fields that aren't applicable). It's usually something like that.

They usually process it fast after you return whatever it is they're asking for. Some people who got RFEs from TSC got approved before I was approved without an RFE, so they were processed in like a week after they got the response.

Thank you, I hope you're right because I'm just in tears. Now I just have to wait for the hardcopy

  4. I have enough proof to not have to involve the baby but I know its the strongest proof.I talked to a lawyer and he said to just wait because I never know what they are going to say and his name on the BC isn't proof

  5. Hello there

I had the same situation as you. My son was born in the US. Yes your right if the father is not present they will not put his name on the birth certificate. It's not really a big deal since your daughter is already a US citizen so that won't make a diffrence to your petition. However if you do want to change the name like we did, all you have to do is get the forms from the hospital your daughter was born post it off to the dad and then what he needs to do is go to the notary republic in the country he is in and get it signed nd stamped. They will require some sort of proof when he sends the form back to you. We used my sons dads copy of his drivers licence and that was sufficient enough. Then when you get the forms take it to your nearest vital records burea in the state you live and they will change the name and issue you a new birth certificate with the fathers name on it. This will take about 3 weeks to process . If you need more info feel free to ask. Mine worked just fine that way. Good luck with it.

    Ok thank you

I was advised to just wait it out until the interview , thank you all though

  6. I have a daughter with my fiance, she is 8 months old now. I have been with him for 2years .

Today I found out that since he isn't on the birth certificate , the person that interviews us will want proof that she is his daughter.

The reason he isn't on the birth certificate is because she was born in the U.S. and since he wasn't present , they refused to put his name.

Is there anything I can do

  7. This may be an issue as they would went to confirm that the child indeed is his. Try dropping a msg to our good friend reese1 who had a similar expirence a couple of months ago and maybe able to guide you in the right direction.

    Ok, thank you so much

  8. It's optional if you want to take the child to the interview, As long as you have your childens birth cert. with you and shows his name on it you should be ok. Now as far as him having a BIG tattoo with your name on his arm, will NOT be considered "proof of relationship". Everything else you should be ok. Good Luck.

The babys birth certificate doesn't have his name on it because she was born in the U.S and they said if he wasn't present, his name wouldn't appear on it. She has his last name though. I also have one of the pregnancy test I had done over in DR .

  9. My fiance called uscis and all they say is "we are currently processing jan 23". :/

We're also transferred to texas on the 21st.

Did they say what center was processing jan.23 ?

My fiance called uscis and all they say is "we are currently processing jan 23rd".

We're also transferred to texas on the 21st.

Funny thing is that you guys who got their NOA2 yesterday are all from the beginning of jan and not jan 23rd!

That's what I was thinking ..... they didn't say what center was on jan.23 ?

  10. Hi, does anyone have experience with this type of visa in the DR ? My fiancé and I have been together 2 years, have a daughter and he even has my name tattooed REALLY big on his arm.

Should I take the baby to the interview ?

  11. Been reading for over a week now and felt it would be wrong to not join already lol.

I've petitioned my daughters father under K-1 visa late January. I was born in the U.S ... He's over in Dominican Republic.

Been really hard to keep our relationship because of my physical condition and our baby but we both are working harder everyday :)

  12. Hey, might be totally off topic. I filed late Jan.... NOA1 was Jan28. Originally was at VSC and was moved to TSC June21. I've received the 3 different messages from them saying I was moved bla bla. Now just waiting .... I'm new btw but I've read the forums for about a week now and thought it was time to join the conversations lol.

This wait has taken such a toll on my life overall. It's crazy :( but all I pray for is that it's worth it in the end :)
