  1. Our case has been approved August 1st in a local office, i called NVC yesterday and didn't have a case number yet, i spoke with a USCIS CS rep today with not avail, I didn't understand her at all she said that I'm on the Post Decision Activity stage and there is another stage remains which after it the case will be transferred to NVC!!! and it may take 90 days to be arrived!!

Saylin, can you tell me what should i do please? and what is the similar normal estimate time to get a NVC's case number after approval

  2. Hello folks, today my wife talked to a tier 2 agent and he said that our case was transferred to Newark local office on June 7, and after or within 60 days she will get a replay. Also she made an InfoPass appointment on the next week to know what's happening.

So why did it take about 3.5 months to be transferred to the local office? what does that mean? and what is the estimate date for that case?

Newark field office seems too busy:

  3. I am a February filer and my i-130 was approved today. Good luck to those still waiting.

    Congratulations,

    hope we get approved soon.

Yeah, that is right. The first time I called, the same happened to me but then I called again, the next agent was nice enough to tell me that if i was to make a 3-way call and get my wife on the phone, he would be able to answer our questions. Which I did, immediately, and he answered all our questions. It's best to have the petitioner call them and ask everything to avoid the hassle though.

I think you was lucky and got a helpful agent, mine wasn't has time to listen to me. Anyway I think I can't make a 3-way call via MJ app, so as you said it's better the petitioner call them, then we will see.

  4. @sing_us,

just wanna know what's going on?!

Earlier today i called the 800 number and talked to a customer service representative, she said which is stated on the website, then I asked her talking to a tier 2 agent, the recorded message said that the holding time was about 57 minutes so I choosed to be called when an agent be available.

After I got speaking with him, he asked me about some personal information then he said that as I'm the beneficiary he can't tell me any thing about the case, only the petitioner could ask for it. (that's sucks) :(

Is that right or he got a reason to hang up the call?

  5. Hello, I'm new here, my wife and i are February filers too, she's the USC.

My wife filed form the US, and our priority date is February 19th, we got a MSC number and our case is at "Initial Review" stage, and it went visible on the case status online tool after receiving form I-797 followed to the acceptance e-mail.

So now it has been about 4.5 months passed without any update, i don't know what to do, and i don't know whether my case is still at the NBC or it was transferred to a local field office.

Is there any one else have the same issue?
