  1. Just got off the phone with NVC. The interview dates for my wife and daughter was scheduled today as follows:

    EKIM-----------------10JUL12--------------19DEC13------------27DEC13------------06FEB2014-----------PHILIPPINES (DAUGHTER)

    EKIM-----------------10JUL12--------------19DEC13------------27DEC13------------26FEB2014-----------SINGAPORE (SPOUSE)

Note: There are no emails yet but confirmed by rep it was scheduled today.

  2. The checklist contained the cover sheet and info regarding how to submit and send correspondence. The only important excerpt is the following:

"The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicants supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation."

Basically, they aren't asking me to provide any specific doc. It looks like the system doesn't recognize that I already mailed all the civil docs. The NVC agents told me not to pay attention to it. I don't know if you got the same checklist or not.

Looks like that is not a checklist but a confirmation notice. Thanks though for the update.

  3. I got an e-mail today (checklist) asking to submit the civil docs which I did two weeks ago. I called and they told me not to worry about it and they said it's an automatic e-mail. However, the e-mail I received didn't mention anything about the police certificate, so maybe you wanna call the NVC to find out what's going on

Thanks. I called them twice before and both said they will email a checklist once AOS is approved. Then my wife can bring it to the SG Police Dept. However, I want to make sure that they will send a checklist especially that the waiting time is around 30 days to review the AOS docs. If you don't mind, could you please pm me the contents of the checklist omitting personal information. Thanks.

  4. im also here in sg... and will also need coc... they say must bring the coc on interview only... so we can present our il to obtain... not so sure also...

What step are you in now? Ian_cath (a vj member) said they got a packet 3 mailed to applicant in singapore via postal service but they are on a k1 category. Not sure if the same scenario is applicable for f2a.
  5. Hi all.

Anybody know where can I get a copy of "Request Letter for Singapore COC.docx"? The link from state, gov seems broken.

In addition, are we expecting a checklist from NVC after paying IV fees (F2A)? Looks like we need a checklist to request a COC from Singapore.

NOTE: Non-Singapore citizens requesting a Certificate of Clearance must also submit a copy of this letter after adding the names of the principal and dependent applicants as indicated, along with the checklist letter from NVC.

Please refer to http://www.spf.gov.sg/epc/cert_issued.htm for further information and updates on Certificate of Clearance from Singapore.

  6. Anyone heard from NVC, pls update here. In our case, NVC still did not have our petition. Very disappointed! It's been 8 weeks & 2 days since we got approved. Approval day August 13.

Send an email to nvcinquiry@state.gov so that they can look into it.

    - Enter your case number in the Subject Line of the e-mail (e.g. the USCIS Case Number if you don't have NVC Case Number).
    - Include the applicant's name and date of birth, and the petitioner's name and date of
birth in the body of the e-mail.
    - Ask about only one case per e-mail.
    - Attach the approval notice (NOA)
Expect to receive an email acknowledgement in about 2 weeks.
  7. Police clearance is for those who have lived/worked abroad (outside the Philippines) for 12 months or more. You need PC from that foreign country.

NBI clearance MUST be submitted for applicants 16 years old and above. Get the GREEN one, for travel abroad.

Hi apple21. Is the NBI clearance required even if you are a permanent resident of another country (Singapore) for a couple of years now? Or Just the clearance from Singapore?

    TIA.

  8. Ekim,

I just got off the phone with a nice NVC guys and he explained they will have to be together or i file another case for my son where he is now while i continue with my wife. He said in the past they allow that but not anymore.

So unfortunately, i might have to either file a new case for my son while my wife process her own in UK or i take my son to UK prior to visa interview. Same might apply to you.

Thanks fir the update. With ours, both my wife and daughter already have a different case number but looks like they assumed they are together so they auto linked it. Hopefully they will act soon on my email telling them to process it separately.

  9. Hi all. Any idea how long NVC respond to email inquiry?

I filed separate I-130 for my wife and daughter at the USCIS. When It reached NVC, they automatically linked the applications which means my daughters application is now included in my wife's case #. Both have different beneficiary id. When I tried to check my daughters fees at CEAC using her NVC case #, I saw something "In the process of termination".

Since my wife and daughter are currently living in different countries because of work, The NVC phone support advised me to send an email to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov and tell them that we want to process the daughter's application on its own case and not include in my wife's case.

Anybody here have the same scenario as ours? Is it really not advisable to have the applications in the same case if they are living in different countries. The support said we need to prove that our daughter is living in the same country where my wife is if we want them in the same case.

    TIA.
