You need a NADRA certificate.
I have provided that too. That's the one in English.

I recently submitted my mother's 2 marriage certificates. One in Urdu (Nikka Nama) and another one in English (NADRA) of the same thing as stated on NVC website (Link). Now they have rejected her marriage certificate again stating that Pakistan requires 3 certificates. NVC seems to be contradicting themselves. Can anybody here provide any guidance. Thanks

Is your mother a Pakistani Muslim married in Pakistan?
From https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Pakistan.html -- "Pakistani Muslim applicants must present both an original, signed Nikah Nama (with its English translation) and a NADRA-issued marriage registration certificate. Note that while both documents reflect similar information, each on its own does not constitute sufficient proof of marriage."
Yes, got it. Thanks for the prompt help.
Does this mean that we have to wait another 3 months to them to review it?

Nice, both my parents got rfe for birth certificate as well, from Bangladesh. What a headache.
btw, is that timeline something you prepared or is there a way to access it at nvc?
This is from USCIS. We are going to start the process at the NVC.

Childcare should only run you around $100-$150/week depending on your area. If you have the potential to earn over $50,000/year it would be worth going back to work and paying childcare rather than living off your savings for 2-3 years waiting for your mother to come. I believe the cut-off for unemployment is 26 weeks so you only have about 3 months of benefits left.
And that's all I wanted. Can't wait to get back to work but having an infant on my hand is quite a ride.

You may want to rethink this. Most people can't afford to be without a salary for several years.
Also, you will want to consider the plan for your mother's health insurance, as she will not be eligible for medicare or an employer-based plan if she is coming over to be the babysitter.
Thanks for your response.
I'm not planning on staying home forever. I'm pretty confident that I can handle all the expenses once I get some help with the kiddo.
I have already made the payment. Do you think I should wait until I get a job to proceed with the i-864?

You do not earn at that level. You are unemployed.
Savings is money in the bank. It's not earning.
Your household is 3. Do you have at least $150,000 in the bank for more than 6 months?Yes I do. Thanks for discussing this with me.

Your house doesn't count. Your savings might. Do you have 5X the amount of the poverty line for your household size?
Yes, I do earn at that level. Me and my daughter are the only people in the household.

You do not earn well above the poverty rate. You are unemployed. A job in the future that you don't have yet doesn't count.
Being unemployed will negatively affect your I-864 for your mother. Do you have assets? Do you have a Joint Sponsor?I do own the house that I live in, and a decent size savings account. Would that help?

Hi everybody,
Here is the landscape:
I'm a single father, living with my 3month old daughter.
Currently claiming unemployment benefit because I can't work on-site with an infant on hand, been unemployed since mid February 2022 .
I do earn well above the poverty rate and we are a household of 2 (My daughter and I). I can get back to work once my mother comes over.
would selecting 'Unemployed' (Form i-864, Part 6) negatively effect my mother's case at NVC or should I wait to get a job first and then proceed?
Thanks

Finally got i-130 approved for my mother. Here is our story so others can be better prepared. After submitting my attested and translated birth certificate we still got a RFE. I have attached a copy of the reason for a RFE, timeline and the list of more evidence that they asked for. In our case, for folks from Pakistan an Family Registration Certificate (FRC) worked. In addition to the FRC we submitted my mother's older passports copies with my name on her passport.
Reason for RFE:

Hi Guys, Good News! Both of my Parents Petition are approved yesterday, Filed 04/15/21. Originally filed Nebraska but both case moved to Vermont.
Congrats

Is this normal. I browsed through the threads from June 2021 and seems like a few have been approved yet my mother's petition that I submitted in April 2021 is still sitting in active review. Just wanted to know if others are experiencing the same or did my petition fell through the cracks?
Initially the case was sent to the Nebraska Center. Not sure what is the current status. I have emailed USCIS asking the where about of the case.
Looking forward to hearing back from the community here.
Thanks

No need to inform USCIS. After the petition is approved and the case gets forwarded to NVC, enter the updated address information in the DS-260 and I-864 forms.
Thanks a lot. This is helpful.

Thanks for the link but I'm super confused. I tried it but I can only see a way to update my US address not the address of my wife's who is outside of US.

How can I change the address as my wife(beneficiary) has recently moved? I tried searching USCIS website but I only came up with forms to change my address(Petitioner).
Secondly, I haven't received her NOA1. I can only see her case online. I reached out to USCIS twice and nothing yet.
I'm thinking about just typing up a letter and sending it in. Her case is in Nebraska center. Can anyone please help.
Thanks.

For the rest who in the same boat as me about the unsolicited evidence. This is the response I got from USCIS:

How big is the file you are trying to upload? Consider splitting it into two smaller files and uploading like that.
It's 200KB. 🤔

I'm trying to upload more evidence to our case on USCIS's website but it always errors out. How can I send them more supporting evidence?
Side note: I filed for our case through mail. Don't know if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance.

Applied for mother on April 26th 2021 (I-130)
Got NOA1 in mail after 2 weeks.

Need some guidance on how to help my parents prepare for the interview at the embassy. As in the questions being asked, the documents that are required. Just trying to be pre-emptive.
Thanks.

No. Did you want your mother come to the US before your wife?
I don't care for the timeline. I just want both of them here.
Pakistan requires 3 or 2 marriage certificates?

Can you please provide your source. I haven't read that anywhere? The only other thing I got to know was Family Registration Certificate (FRC).
Thanks for helping though.
