Kat I too worry! My fiance has yet to hear about an interview and I worry the ap will give us another year a part after the interview. This wait is killing us!

I thiught it was closed today and tomorrow due to unrest. It is all over the news I pray things get better there soon!

I had sent documents in april to egypy for my fiances packet 3. Some how they got lost from leaving the US to arriving in egypt. I had to resend documents delaying our process. What makes matters worse is that somewhere there are documents of my social security# and bank info. The postsl service could only give me an apology! No refund or anything because it is international mail!

So I just got notice that the embassy in Cairo will be closed from Monday - Saturday. There goes a whole week ........ ugh!

Is there anyone from Egypt who have submitted their packet 3 to the embassy in Cairo in the month of May or June and have already received packet 4 awaiting an interview?

I've called and uhh just rings. . . . I've sent several emails and NO response! I too am waiting for my fiance to get called for interview. Our expiration date is July26th. That worries me I can't get through.

When does it's expire?

Is there an age cut off that an Egyptian man meets to get to AP? It might sound crazy but I've heard that if they are young Egyptians they go to AP. Is this true?

When we received our NO A2 it stated it was valid from March until July 26,2013. Will it automatically be renewed? The embassy in Cairo will be open tomorrow (Monday) but did advise that they could shut down due to unexpected protests or unrest. My fiance has yet to hear of packet 4 therefore has not had an interview. I have emailed the embassy but have no response. It is very difficult to get a hold of someone by phone there. Any one know what to do? Anyone in the same boat?

I would make calls to my fiance using online calling cards such as from aloarabs.com and it gave me ask the transactions I made so I just printed those out. Also now I use rebate and that had a pretty easy log. So in total I didn't send that much. I did include maybe like 6 pictures and all my plane tickets asking with receipts of places we visited even when we went out to eat.

We got an RFE and it was something that my fiance and I were kicking ourselves over because it was a dumb thing we forgot to submit. We were so busy trying to get all the evidence and other stuff needed we failed to provide the most important . .. . Letter of intent to marry!! We submitted it and ask went well. We got approved. That was our "need more info".

Does any one know if we can switch to another embassy? I'm suppose to go through Cairo Egypt however it seems no one knows when that will be opening and going back to business. Is it easier to request to be moved else where?

Another question, when we check our case status through the following website, we find our case is under an immigrant visa NOT a non immigrant. Is there anything wrong with this? We filed for a k1 visa.

So if Egypt cases get sent to another embassy, how long is the wait from there before we hear anything? We completed packet 3 and submitted it early June. We have yet to hear of an interview or packet 4. I'm starting to get nervous.

This is a good question. However I think since you had interview already there isn't much to do.

In my case though I haven't had an interview yet so this could be an option I could consider.

I'm waiting for my fiance to get their interview as well. We submitted and was accepted June 6th. I think it will take at least 2 to 3 months to get our interview info
