    Hi,

    Keep in mind the time of day you will be traveling. Few land marks as you exit the customs doorway. There is a brief walk way, then you will see the welcome / information center in front (they have a few seats) and a walkway that splits left and right of the welcome center. If you take the walkway to your left the right for those you are facing at the end of the walkway you will see along the window seats. If you choose the walkway to your right at the end to your left you will see in the far left corner signs for taxi and airport shuttle just beside the airport exit signs. You can ask for assistance at the welcome / information center, ask them if you can wait there for the person receiving you as this is your first time traveling. They usual only want people waiting if you are being received by a hotel or other means of transport. Last time I told them I was looking for information how to get to New Jersey and they left me alone. My reason for doing is I came in on red eye from KIN and the shuttle area did not open until 5:15 I believe it was.

    You will be arriving at Terminal 4 immigration/customs arrival for flights from Jamaica, other countries as well.

    My fiancé entered through JFK 2 weeks ago it took him about 30mins to get through customs and get his luggage which is excellent time. They won't care who is coming to pick you up but make sure you have a number for the person who is coming to get you. JFK is a very large airport not like sangster or Norman Manley. What I did was I told my fiancé after he gets his luggage do not go outside (it's very cold now in New York) and find a landmark in the terminal where we can meet (like an au Bon pain or dunkin donuts). Once he is at his location borrow someone's phone and call me and tell me where he is located.

    I know this is longer than you asked but trust me I am jamaican and I live in New York and deh ah airport all the time and JFK no easy at all. You can get lost easily there so make sure u have the number of the person coming to get you. Good luck! Welcome to New York and dress warm cuz it cold bad!

    I checked the CEAC website and it's showing ISSUED .. We are happy.. It's been over a year.. Can't wait to get the visa in hand.. How long does it for the embassy to send the visa to Montego Bay?

    yea u need to fill out the form DS230 and email d embassy requesting packate 3 and 4 here is d address u should send that form to KingstonIVAppointment@state.gov after u fill out the form and attach it u should write petioners name and beneficiary name also both date date of birth and a statment requesting packet 3 and 4

    Oh and also put ur case number in the email and as the subject

    Scheduling medical in Jamaica

    Good Morning,

    My fiance called Hope clinic in Mobay to schedule his medical and was told to wait for someone to call him to schedule the medical. Is this the correct procedure in Jamaica? I am under the impression that we are to schedule the medical and not the embassy.

    Any help or insight is greatly needed and appreciated

    no your the one that should schedule the medical u will need ur appointment letter from the embassy thats the only thing u need from them for the medical

    ok guys

    i had a 9:30 appointment i got there at 9 went straight inside the embassy wasnt crowdy only a few people . After going through security they directed me inside at the first desk where a female lady took my appointment letter and pasport and gave me a ticket then give me bac the passport and said sit on the right and listen for ur number on the ticket. After about 15 mins my number was called and i went to a lady at the window she took all my ds forms medical police record i134 forms tax return non impediment and birth certificate note: all documents must be original they dont take photo copies and she also took 4 pics. She then gave me a paper and said pay the 20 us at the cashier window right nex to her window after i did that brought back the reciept to her she gave me a ticket with my appointment time on it and said u can take back ur seat on the right and listen for ur name. after waiting about 20 more minutes i was called up for my interview there were 3 men and a lady doing the interviews i got one of the men thank God he asked me to raise my right hand and swear or affirm to tell the truth and i did then he asked me three questions how did u meet ur fiance how did he propose where else have i traveled to apart frm the US and that was it. He said he saw our pics and they were lovely i offered to show him they ones i brought to the nterview and he said that was find then said my visa was approved and that was it . I BELIEVE they already know if they are gonna give u the visa or not b4 u go there they dnt even ask for nthing elseso all the skype, yahoo, FB pics, hotel reciept and all the other stuff i brought he didnt even look at them and i also observed the other persons who were being interviewed and its the same ting they dnt ask them for a ting smh

    Besides the visa fee, does anyone know if you have to pay a DHL fee at the jamaican embassy after or before the interview ? If so how much is it ?

    I heard of cases where individuals were asked if they registered for DHL. What is DHL and how do you register? I went to DHL.com and their are a few options such as DHL express , DHL webship and DHL corporate ship. Which one are you suppose to register for ? Is this the right website? Please Help.

    Mail Packets 3?

    Packet three is somewhat irrelevant, package four is what's important. After receiving packet three you want to submit form DS-230 online to the embassy so you can get scheduled for an interview. I heard there is a new form to fill out as of recently. I will say to apply for the police record and certificate of impediment ASAP. Fill out firms DS 156, 156K, and 157 and print three copies of each. This is the time to get your documents in order.
