Would you be so kind to update your timeline with that data so others can guesstimate their waits better?

Guess what! I tried DOS just past noon & heard the message saying they answer M-F from 8:30 to 5:00 but wednesdays only from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon..

Don't worry, rshree, try to call them again tomorrow...

    When is your NOA2 ?

    NOA1 - June 28

    NOA2 - aug 27

NOA2 was last Aug 19, hard copy received on Aug 23

  4. Ryan&Amy, thanks, who do I call then, the consulate in a few weeks?

Hi, You can call NVC at +1 (603) 334-0700 and asked for your case number, from Monday to Friday, 7am to 12noon.

Our case was approved last Aug 19 but until now, we still haven't got our Case Number :( Hoping it will come soon. My fiance (the petitioner) said, we'll just have to be patient. He doesn't want to call everyday, hehehe...

I tried calling DOS also last night at +1 (202) 485-7600 using magic jack app :) but still no luck...

If you call DOS, immediately press 1 & 0, you don't have to listen the whole voice prompt ;)

  5. Hello there! We received our NOA2 last month on August 27th, and NVC still hasn't gotten our case yet. Is this normal? How long does it usually take for them to receive it?

Also, who schedule the interview, me (the beneficiary) or the consulate? Because Im going to be out of the country in October, and im worried for them to schedule it when Im away.

    thank you all

We got approved August 19 and received the NOA2 on mail on August 23. My fiance called the first time last Wednesday but we still don't have our case number as well...

Let's just wait and hope it will be given soon...

    hi there,

I suggest you start a new topic on this. but you could start by reading the Guide section for K1 here http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

    Good luck...!

Just checked status online and they sent papers 2 days ago!!smile.png

    YES!!!

    Congrats..!

    Welcome to NVC waiting time...

  7. Hi there!

I'm sure it has been asked a couple of times but, i'm still waiting for my packet 3 and was taking some advance.....

does the Affidavit of Support (i-134) is to be sent to the Embassy when i received packet 3 or is it to be brought to the interview?

Thx a lot for your help!

I believe you have to bring it with you on your interview.

  8. On I-134 we used the salary total as per letter from employer as this is what my then fiance had in his contract. The figure on W2s or tax return would vary, depending on bonuses, overtime, lost time due to sickness, maternity leave, premiums for working abroad and any other reason.

On I-864 during Aos its slightly easier as you actually have place to fill in yor tax return totals and your current income.

So,I guess we'll be using the figure declared on the certificate of employment.

    Thank you, agnesb!

  9. You should list the current income, which is proven with a letter from employer and/or recent pay stubs. Did his income decrease since last year? Does he get commissions or other bonus income that would make the amount different than his stated base salary? There must be a reason he made $6000 more last year, than his employer states he currently earns.

He works and get paid by hours.

Would it be safe if we will just used what was stated on his latest income tax return? even though it does not tally on the certificate of employment?

  10. What is a certificate of employment? I guess the W2 is the official document, since it's what you use to prepare your annual tax returns. How much is the difference?

Certificate of Employment is the document he asked from his employer stating his job description, when he started his job and his salary income...

the difference is about $6000... the W2 is higher than the cert of employment..

    thanks for the reply :)

  11. Hi Everyone,

My fiance's (the petitioner) annual gross income from W2 does not coincide with the Certificate of Employment given to him.

I would like to know which one does he have to fill in to Form I-134? Is it the annual gross income derived from his latest W2 or the annual salary stated on his Certificate of Employment?

His only source of income is his salary.

I hope to receive responses from you guys...

    Thank you...

  12. hello everyone!

    thank you, guys!

I would like to ask, what or which documents does my fiance(petitioner) should send me(beneficiary) as per the guide,

    2.

Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.

hope to hear answers from you, guys...
