Thanks for that, we have managed to get a load more stuff together, trouble was that when filling was post a break in and a lot of paper work was missing, we'll get an affidavit from my sister in law, and the neighbor, we do have joint insurance now, and if it comes to it our Congressional Representative lives down the street and is at least a passing acquaintance of us both.
-
6 months of joint statements but we couldn't send previous ones as we had moved bank.

Vermont does nothing for 9 months then sends an RFE for more info despite having 2 car loans, 3 years joint tax returns, joint health cover evidence that we are both each others beneficiary on work life insurance. We have a joint account that we use to pay the mortgage and cars, but my wifes salary still goes into an account in Texas as all her payments were pre-set from it. proof of several joint vacations
So we can send, Drivers licences with same address on them, copies of credit cards in both names, we have joint health insurance this year only as it was cheaper than each going with our own companies. My wife already had a house and mortgage, electricity etc so we never changed them.
How do we go about getting affidavits from friends/relatives do they need to be witnessed by notaries? It would be so much easier just to have an interview, what a waste of time scrabbling for bits of paper that if one was making a false claim would be so much easier to fabricate.
-
So we got an RFE, despite including evidence of several joint holidays, two car loans and evidence that we have a joint account and filled joint taxes.
So what do we do to get affidavits from friends, my wife already owned the house so only her name is on it, we have a joint account but she uses her old account form texas because it already had all of her payments set up on it.
Not sure what else we can include, after 9 months of doing nothing its a pain, an interview would be much easier. any other suggestions, on what to get evidence wise or the process of getting affidavits.

We didn't have a lot of pictures, a load of common travel tickets and a pretty in-depth knowledge of each others family, affidavits from friends helped. The interview in Lawrence went pretty easy, but you are going to have issues unless you get co sponsors.

If approved on the spot you can ask them to put a temporary I-551 LPR stamp in your passport and use that to get back into the country thats what I did.

We did manage to get USCIS to accept that my income was both legal and acceptable,
i was working for a European Oil company in africa at the time but ti was not easy, and we should probably not have bothered as my wife income was sufficient. But it is doable just a lot of hassle.

No one can know exactly what the case looks like because we don't know all the facts. We also don't know exactly how USCIS does their investigations because it is classified.
It doesn't seem like he has a lot of evidence, and the timeline is very fishy. Let USCIS do their jobs. You won't be able to know the results, unfortunately.
Don't talk to him any more, and get him out of your life. Good luck.
Well said Harpa.
Very sad story, move on, the more you worry about what happens to hime the more impact he continues to have on your life, the opposite of love isn't hate its indifference, the sooner you don't car the sooner you can move on.

I have always used XE.com for currency transfers paying maintenance and the like.

Glad you are settling in. I found it really easy to adjust, it's a little hard not being in the same country as family, but I have always travelled a lot for business, average 125,000miles a year so the extra to visit doesn't hurt. I agree that the wait for ability to drive/travel was a pain, but i was lucky in that i didn't have to change job.

Yes its very illegal. Think if it fell in the wrong hands. People do it and I know of 3 different people 1 Nigeria, 1 Fraud One Russia tried and all were confiscated at customs and sent back to sender.
You are already at NVC which means you are within like 3 to 4 months of an interview you can't wait for him to get here and get his SS? The ITIN is really not for short timers. But take the chance from UK I am sure you will get through fine.
Nonsense I have to send my passport around the world for visas all the time. Courier is recommended, people have to do it all the time what if you are traveling to a country that doesn't have an embassy in the country you are in.
How do you think your passport gets to you in the first place if you apply for a replacement uk passport while living in the usa? Magic?

Thank you all for your responses!
This one looks like the winner so far, as it is the most comparable with what I have in the UK.
I am going to be living in Brooklyn, NY, so I am taking it for granted that coverage won't be a problem.
Coverage shouldn't be a problem, but there unlimited is 2.5 gb of high speed then unlimited low speed. If your other half has a contract there are some really good family plans out there.
virgin mobile is unlimited everything with 300 mins for 35. also unless you live in a very rural area your coverage will be fine with any network.
Remember you use minutes up even if you receive a call.

Hi there,
I will be moving to the US on 30th March and have begun thinking about utilities.
My current mobile phone contract is very good. It is with a company called GiffGaff and they offer me 300 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet usage for £12 per month. Likewise communicating abroad is also cheap. When I text my fiancée in the US it is 8p per text. It is a sim card only contract as I have my own unlocked handset. The GiffGaff is a user powered company, which is why it is so cheap.
Does anyone know of anything similar in the US or have any experience with cheap US mobile phone providers?

Is at&t's cheaper arm.
$40 a month gets unlimited talk and text a 500mb of high speed data, unlimited low speed data and another $15 gets cheap
or H2O

$50 unlimited talk and text free calls to uk landlines and 2gb of data

Washington state law requires service by publication to be in a newspaper in general circulation in the county where the action is started, requires no notice in Morocco or anywhere else.

Really interesting read. I was aware before hand not to tick that box but they do try to get you to fill it out.

Unaccompanied minors sending child home for visitations,
in United Kingdom
Posted
My Son does this two or three times a year though usually flying the other way we always use Skyteam, AirFrance, Delta, KLM etc, he has a preference for Amsterdam as it has a nice lounge for unaccompanied minors costs $150 extra each way.
