Hello Good people please help me.
My tax preparer filed my taxes single while am am married.
He is insisting there is no way I can file with my hubby because he did not live in the USA and did not work there, he also doesn't have a ssn and itn number so I cannot file with him.
Please what do I do and how do I handle this situation as I am due for interview soon please.
Will I be asked and what if I explain to them??
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I saw some questions about this sometime ago but I never went thru and now I can't find exactly where it is.

Still nothing from them since after my interview on Feb 13th
And this is an office that has same day oath. It's real BS.
After almost a month after my interview still not even scheduled for oath.
Am sorry but I just can't understand. I know some people are waiting forever.
But this is an office that conducts same day oath.
And this local office is not busy at all..

I heard there's one on the 27th or 28th of March.
It will just break my heart if they don't put me on that ceremony like comeon already.

Hi! I decided to post here so any other person in the same boat as I was in before will get a fair idea and stop stressing.
As long as you know your marriage was legit and you are confident, you will be fine.
I was in the same boat as you, my husband divorced me 2 months after I got my permanent GC.
I took had a notarized letter from him stating how the divorce went ( he had a baby out of wedlock- and rather divorced me. Sob sob ! Lol!
Anyway I had my naturalization interview yesterday at the Pittsburgh office at 8:30am sharp.
The IO did not ask me anything about my marriage. (Bear in mind I have two failed marriages and also I just got recently married) so three in all! I was asked nothing and I mean nothing not even a divorce decree as I forgot to include them in my application ( isn't God great!) I was approved And am waiting on my oath yayyyyyyyy
Anyway don't stress okay u will be fine
PS: I have even filed for my new husband (f2a category)( 3rd one) hopefully this time I get it right as they say, third time is a charm lol
