  1. This post: #155 appears to indicate that a Filipina who is working and living in Singapore still must hold PR status in order to have her interview at the United States Embassy in Singapore. Is this true in all cases or is it something that is decided on in some other way?

How bout you?

  2. Im not sure if there is another thread for K1-filers, so i made one here...

  4. We were approved on May 15 and I just called to see if by chance they received our case yet. They have not, but I'm not surprised. It's only been a few days. She told me it takes 15 business days for them to receive cases, but I'm going to call Thursday or Friday. It seems like most people only have to wait about a week. I hope our case isn't one of the ones that takes forever. :(

Hi jen_vb,, we got our approval in the same date as yours...we called NVC and they said thecsame thing. I would really like to get it asap...lets hope for the best and hope to get it next week.

  5. hi, I also have been working here for 3 years, stated singapore embassy in our filing.. but when I called NVC to ask abt my case, they sent it to Manila. So I think they only process those with PR status here.

You can wait for your NOA2 and case number before you request for COC. It will take about 3 weeks.

To give u a better idea of the timeline, i got NOA2 april 25, my case was received by NVC may may 3 i think.. sent to US embassy manila May 8. Earliest interview date available was May 15... so things move pretty fast by that time.

THANKS a lot,, we got our NOA2 notice MAY 15.my fiance called NVC yesterday they said the case haven't arrived yet. Anyway thanks again for the info, wish you luck and hope for the best, :)

  6. just want to share my experience in getting a police clearance (coc) from singapore for a foreigner.

I was a bit worried because I have been reading that they do not give COC to foreigners, but they actually do without hassle. You just need to sign an extra paper (appeal form) that is available at the COC office at the police cantonment station.

    hope this helps

Hi fluff5, I am new in this forum. I saw your post and thought u might help me since we have pretty much the same situation. I am a Filipina working here in sg for 2 years now but im not holding PR status. Do I have to go back in manila to process my k1 and interview, we indicated Singapore us embassy at our previous I-129f so I was wondering where should the interview be done. Second should I get the COC from Singapore police while waiting for the consulate instruction letter? Thank you.

  7. Hi foxy05, I think you replied to the wrong post. You replied to my post. rolleyes.gif

Anyways, I remember fluff5 mentioned (please check earlier post) that she needs to go back to Manila for the visa interview because she is not Singaporean PR.

    Good Luck!

    Regards

    Dee

    oppsy,, sorry,, thanks anyway
