Congrats!! I just put in a expedite request for my husband due to me having hernia surgery. I'm hoping that they will read the doctors letter and realize we have a small child that will need to be taking care of after my surgery.

    Hello Everyone,
I have a feeling you will be approved very soon. I was approved in 10/1/13 through an expedite and I'm currently at the NVC stage. I wanted to share some of the problems or disconnect with the instructions for the affidavit forms and the instruction the NVC reviewers are giving. I had to re-do my form which will delay the process another 30 or so days and I don't want you guys to have to go through yet another delay. I would suggest doing two forms, one per the instructions and another with N/A as per everyone and the NVC folks and a letter explaining why you have two. I don't think two forms would be an issue but better safe than having to do it all over again. Below is what I have posted on the NVC-November thread, I hope this will help you avoid the delay. Good Luck to us all :-)

I just called NVC, regarding the checklist that everyone seem to be getting and was wondering if I should just make the correction and re-send mine again. I told her that I followed the instruction, #3 on How to Fill out Form I-864. I read this to her....#3 "Answer all questions fully and accurately. If an item is not applicable or the answer is "none"leave the space blank". She apologized and said the direction giving to them and the instruction is not the same. According to her instruction, we have to put N/A. She suggested that I send an email to NVCInquiry@state.gov subject : PI Supervisor, and ask the same question in writing so that hopefully they can update/ correct the instruction giving to the reviewers at NVC. She was very nice and just as frustrated with this as we are, so lets all email the supervisor and help them to help us. Please ensure you follow the instruction in how to email NVC. Thanks

    Hi,
Yes I have to wait 1-2 days until I got an invoice.
I have been calling them since 11/1 almost every day, but was filing that I`ll get it after around 10-15 business day.
If you check some other people's timelines, you can see that it takes around 10-15-20 business days.
    I-130 submitted - 03/12/2013
    NOA2 hard copy in mail - 11/1/2013
NVC received the case - 1/11/2013
    NVC case number - 11/20/2013
    I check these urls:
    https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?
From here I can check my case status.
    https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/Invoice.aspx?node=Invoice
From here I can log in and I can see that, I still don't have an invoce
    https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx
From here I can't log in - this is fod ds-261, chose of agent
I`ll wait to see what will happen

I think you guys are thinking too deep with what she was asking. I'm sure if it was a way for everyone to get their family here quicker they would. What's wrong with her asking? She didn't demand that they do, she simply asked if they would do it. Now I must admit, the common sense should've kicked in but dag everyone has been waiting for NOA2 for awhile. desperation is bound to happen. Just saying. Stay calm...it will all be over soon.

Is putting N/A specific to EZ form or for any AOS forms, because in the i-864 instructions, it specifically says to leave blank if the questions does not apply or answer is none

There's a difference between receiving your case and assigning a case number. There's usually a difference of a few days to a few weeks between those two time ticks. So, keep calling every day and asking if a case number has been assigned yet.
And as long as you give over both email addresses to an operator once the case number is assigned, then you'll receive all correspondence from NVC by email.
This really isn't an appropriate thread to post your question as this is about the NVC process.
Regardless though: I highly doubt they'll do the medical without the passport (definitely not the interview anyways). I'd suggest your husband contact the passport agency and get a new passport done asap. Copies of paperwork submitted isn't required at the interview, just suggested. And get as much evidence re-printed out again as possible.
If you give over both email addresses to an operator when the case number is assigned, nothing is physically sent out to either of you.
    1. The new forms are split into two columns. You go down the first one, then continue on with the second column. So, the second column is a continuation of the first, thus that question is about the beneficiary.
    2. Is there a reason why you're using both? Can't you just use the brother-in-law who earns more?
Call back again asap. It should be the three letter embassy/consulate code and then 10 numbers.
    Required documents:
    -interview letter
    -passport
-medical results (if not sent directly by the panel physician)
-passport photos (number varies by consulate/embassy, for Canada it's 2)
There may also be country or embassy/consulate specific things as well (such as courier information). Also, if one was in the EP program, then it's also required to bring the original AOS and IV packages to present at the interview.
    Somewhere between required and optional:
    -proof of relationship
Some places don't ask for any proof of relationship (re: Canada), while others are incredibly strict about proof of relationship and if you don't bring enough or don't convince them, then you're either denied or put into AP (re: MENA countries).
    Optional:
-copy of all paperwork ever submitted, at both USCIS and NVC

We always go to the CURRENT month, no matter when you started the process. So, while it was September, everyone was in the September thread. Once October arrived, everyone moved to October. Now that November is coming, everyone will move to this thread, November.
So, to sum up, stay here Then, once December hits, we, including you, will all move to the December thread.

My case never was transferred and I was approved on October 23rd. I am a May filer. Just stay on them and don't give up. We pay too much money for our families to join us. Call your congress person call them EVERY week. Basically get on their nerves like they are getting your nerves and something should happen. If you sit and do nothing it makes their job much easier to just take your money. Make them work for that paycheck.... I was border line harrassing them (a joke) hey it worked. Good Luck, stay strong, and have faith.

When filing taxes, unless your husband have been in the US for 6 months, you file head of household if possible. You are considered legally married but because he haven't been in the country you file head of household. Trust me i know this info firsthand. Btw...please register your marriage in the US..you dont want any problems down the line

    I agree.
Also, ordinary people have no idea that there is some sort of process to bring a spouse to the U.S.
They think Green Cards are granted just by showing a marriage certificate. Or something.

I just want to say in my opinion this "video" you referring to was made by you and your husband. Terrible that he would show it tohis friends. My question is how long did you know him before marriage? The thing that upset me is that me and my son sit home alone without my husband of almost three yrs (8 yrs together) that should be here. While they let the people in that do BS like this. This is an example of why it is taking soooo damn long for our spouses to be able to come to the US. Get to know your significant others more before claiming "love" and "marriage".

That sounds illegal. So you were not in a genuine relationship and the visa was contingent on her working for you?
Sounds like indentured servitude which is illegal almost everywhere, especially the US.
You could be charged if you've stated facts to the contrary in your K1 application.
    Good luck...
