I had an interview last wednesday. We also had an RFE in April so honestly didn't expect to get an interview as well.
It was a really simple and quick interview though, like 15 minutes.
We weren't separated, the IO asked us about our recent trip overseas and she took a couple of the pictures we had printed out.
Then she asked us how come we didn't have kids yet, and then she asked if we had any additional information or documentation we could give her. We gave her whatever extra information we printed out and at the end of the interview she said she would approve us that night.
Yesterday our uscis status changed to card in production so it took exactly a week. Hoping it arrives soon
Goodluck!

Is there a specific reason you need to change the name on the passport? Because honestly I wouldn't bother, when she applies for AOS the GC would come with her updated name so she doesn't really need to use her passport...
Congratulations and goodluck on your marriage!

Hello
You can find all the steps to getting your Adjustment of Status here:

Also for the Employment Authorization did you mean I-765?

Many many congratulations to the end of a journey

I watched a bit of it,
I am supporting NZ too, but they lost today.

Its really your free choice on how much evidence you want to include, although more is really better. I'll tell you what I did:
I wrote a paragraph on every time me and my wife met even if it was only for a week, I wrote a brief comment about what we did, where we went.
I included several photographs of places we went to together and wrote the location and date on the back of it.
I hope it helps

Congratz im glad your process went thru smoothly ^^

When I had my interview at Auckland I sent everything in with Packet 3.
Doesnt it say on it?

got a question. i know it's weird to ask if this is normal, (since nothing is really normal - each case is different)
i got my notice that EAD card is sent to me today (90th day to date), i'm hoping it's a combo card.
But online it AP still says under initial review.
am i getting a combo card?
furthermore, my AOS application is still in it's ACCEPTANCE stage. i did not receive any RFE, nor waiver for interview letter/ notice.
When I got my EAD card it was combo card but my AP status says its is still in initial review ..

Lots of congratulations!!

From what I understand if you are approved and don't yet have a greencard but have travel plans you should ask for a I-551 stamp

Congratz i know he must be feeling excited too

I think you should take an updated I-864 regardless whether the IO wants to see it or not better safe and sorry.. My husband got a new job a week before the interview and we handed in our new 864 at the interview...

The embassy receives it and sends it forward to the beneficiary.
-
Think you're talking about NOA 2?
The letter goes to the petitioner the package goes thru to NVC and then gets transferred to the beneficiary's country

The visa is valid until the date of expiry she can enter the US on the visa as long as it is before the date on her visa.
Question about the Consulate interview
in Australia and New Zealand
Posted
I found my own experiences at Auckland consulate to be relatively stress free and quick.
There are a number of reviews where different members offer up information on their own experiences at this embassy.
You can read it here:

Generally the interviewer will just ask very general questions to your fiance about his relationship with you, such as what do you do for work, when did you both meet, how did you meet. I wouldn't worry about it at all and just go in and answer everything truthfully.
Goodluck to you both! Everything will be wonderful and fine!
