    If you explain it to whomever is signing your marriage certificate you should be able to keep it after they sign it and bring it to the courthouse to file yourself. That way you can ask on the spot for as many copies as you need since it really only takes them a minute to make them. When I did this they didn't have a problem with it and they gave me the impression it's pretty standard since most people want to change their name right away. Just make sure you have all your other evidence documents ready and you could file your package the same day you file your marriage certificate if you're worried about it.

    Is September 22th your big wedding with family and friends?
    You may also consider getting married at a city hall/courthouse now, so you can start the AOS process much sooner, which also mean you won't be out of status even for day (once your I-94 expires, you start accumulating out of status time until you file for AOS).
    Many here did that (including me, got civil married a few weeks after arrival, did the "big" wedding almost a year later), and it's the best option in my opinion.
    This way you can file for AOS/EAD/AP much sooner than late September, and get your EAD/AP card (if not green card) much earlier too.
