That doesn't work for Guangzhou IV.
Most of the rest of the IV Units across the world, NVC sets the interview date.
Guangzhou has optional electronic processing, and when one OPTS IN to EP, NVC sets the appointment.
The OP did not opt in to EP at NVC, and had to suffer the wait of the casefile transfer into Guangzhou IV. Guangzhou IV themownselves schedules paper casefiles once the casefile is opened at the IV unit.
It's a PITA, to be certain, but since ustraveldocs is handling MOST of the stuff now for NON-EP Immigrant Casefiles instead of the IV Unit, the OP has yet another portal to muck about with, for scheduling. Sorta cool, no waiting on GUZ IV to do the scheduling them own selves.
However - with a papercasefile - it's still best to call DoS Hotline and inquire for casefile status. (hint hint)

Keywords: IR-5, Guangzhou, paper casefile, ustraveldocs
IR1 Paper casefile work for this too or now?

Thank you very much!
yoyo - for NVC Doc Intake,
I suggest you shift to Electronic Processing Path,
via
OPTING IN for the Optional Electronic Processing.
Ryan's posted a link - please read all in that topic, make time.
FWIW, do NOT OPT IN until AOS FEE BILL is in petitioner's email inbox.
Study this thread, it contains all the information you need to know: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/327561-my-ep-experience/
Electronic Processing is not available for South Africa cases.
Thank you so much! Ryan and Dranell.

yoyo888,
You are not alone. My IR-5 case was approved on 4/3/2013 and until today I have not received the Approval Letter from the USCIS. When I called, they told me to wait until 30 days. However, my file is currently at the National Visa Center and it's moving...
NVC won't send you letters unless you want to wait longer. Read the April 2013 NVC filers thread and all the links, especially the wiki by Darnell on electronic processing. It's meant for China!
thank you very much.

Hi, Everyone. I am new here. Please help!
I was LPR when I sent I-130 for my husband in China--- NOA1 06/24/2011
I became US citizen on 08/09/2012. I called USCIS to upgraded my citizenship on 10/16/12. Officer told me " You will receive letter by mail or email " but I didn't get anything.
After I checked online status on 4/25/2013 it showrd I-130 approved on 04/12/2013. I called and asked them why I didn't receive anything after approved online 15 days and she told me to wait 30 days if I still not get anything and then call them back.
1.why I-130 approved letter still not receive yet it lose or ...?
2.My case is CR1/IR1 or still F2a (green card)?
3.What is next step for my complicate case?
Thank you!
