Hey @Living Proof! My priority date is February 28th, 2017, and I am in the Seattle office as well. I haven't heard anything yet. Do you know your friend's priority date? Can't believe it takes over 10 months to become a citizen :(

@AnaMatt not sure what priority date is but she did her biometrics on March 3rd and was in line for interview a few days after. I believe she filed on Feb 9th.

@Living Proof wow! When I went for FP I asked the person who took my prints how things were going and he said they had been crazy there since the Fall, that they were seeing up to three times more applications than previously. It was just conversation but it made me wonder how long this was going to take.

I will be honest, I am out of the country from 20 September until 1 October so right now I am hoping NOT to hear anything... but I hope for some movement for you!! And for @MAHUNA (and especially your friend, since March..)

Best wishes and good luck! Candace

@Candace I hope the scheduling works out well for you. Best wishes to you and @MAHUNA

  3. They didn't ask for any birth certificates at our interview but that isn't to say they won't for yours, all they asked us for ID wise was our passports and our state IDs (Texas loves asking for their state IDs for some reason), anyway next time please start a new thread as this is completely unrelated to the original topic or find one of the several other similar threads where this question was already addressed.

Thank you aussie_jason, apologies for the hijack everyone.

  4. Hi OP, sending you positive vibes and crossing fingers for you. Hope you receive some good news about your case very soon. We are also having our interview at Seattle tomorrow, fingers crossed.

For those of you who have been interviewed at Seattle, is a petitioners birth certificate a must have? My husband couldn't find his birth certificate or order for it in time but has his passport. We have everything ready but his birth certificate, hope that won't be an issue for us.

  5. My friend received that same letter stating the 6-month wait. She doesn't mind the wait as she is already working and her EAD is valid until Dec.

I suggest you update your timeline and look for similar timelines. You might be able to find some information from people in your area who have received interview wavers.

For my case, I have an interview on 9th April. People who have been interviewed from my local office have received their green cards in the mail as early as 6 days after.
