Congrats!!!!
Bdrave8, thank you very much!

Hello VJ family,
I had my interview today. It went very well and smoothly. The officer was nice and kind, made me feel relaxed. My opinion of Detroit Field Office has always been favorable and I always had positive experience there. So today was no exception.
I`ll give you the answers instead of the questions I was asked, so that everybody still in line would practice:
- 435
- 2
- George Washington
- John Roberts
- WW II
- November
I was told my case was recommended for approval and affixed with APPROVED stamp.
Then I was told to wait in the lobby. In a about 15-20 minutes, another officer came out and handed me the oath ceremony letter.
I am to appear in Detroit Court on May 15.
I wish good luck to everybody who is still waiting. It`s your turn now

I thank the VJ community for its powerful collective knowledge, support and many more things no lawyer can help with.
I will write more when I "turn red"

Bdrave8, thanks a lot!

Hello, my interview date is May 04.
For information, the interview was scheduled on 03/30 and the letter was received today 04/03, basically in 4 days including the weekend.
Yay!

Hi guys! Congratulations to all the new U.S. citizens here!
Here I go: On March 30, 2017, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400.
Looking forward to getting the letter in the mail!
-
Hi, guys, please correct me if I am wrong. So I am with Detroit FO, I check the processing times, it says July 26 as of Jan 31. Since I am November and very realistic yet hopeful
, there is no need to expect the "interview scheduled" status earlier than April, May, right? Unless I am super lucky and they pick my very case for consideration earlier...
-
LesP, awesome, congrats!
-
Laloka, there you go! Awesome, congratulations!

EV11, I am also looking forward to seeing my status changed to "interview scheduled", just like you, I plan to undertake some career steps as soon as I have a naturalization certificate in my hand. Not to be on hold, I decided not to apply for jobs while my status is pending. However, we should not forget that an average process takes 5-6 months, and as "novemberers" we should be patiently waiting till April or May and then start worrying if nothing changes. A couple of people who got their interviews already scheduled are rather an exception, than standard practice. There is nothing wrong to frequently check on the status, I do it too by the way
This forum and VJ site in general has always been a great support and an information source for me from the beginning, it`s better than any lawyer and is seriously competitive with any professional legal services. I am just posting this in support of all patient November filers, wish us patience and good luck!

For some reason I did not get any e-mail or text notice, but since 12/29 I am IN LINE for an interview. Will you please update me? YAY!!!

-
So what does it actually mean to be in line for scheduling the interview? That they are about to schedule your interview or? Does the status online change from 'we scheduled your fingerprints appointment?
Congrats to everybody on the progress, good luck and happy and healthy new year to everyone!

Got biometrics appointment letter today without pior text or e-mail notification,
so biometrics is scheduled for 12/13

I received NOA by e-mail and text today 11/22/2016, looking forward to getting the hard copy NOA and biometrics appointment letter.
I hope everyone will have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Please update my info as follows:
Phoenix, AZ. Field Office - Detroit, MI
GC date 01/29/2014
N400 mailed 11/07/2016
Check cashed 11/17/2016 - finally, 3 days after USPS showed receipt.
No NOA of any kind so far.
Thanks and good luck to all of us!
-
Guys, when do you think I should resend my package? USPS says it was received on Nov. 14 by Phoenix, AZ 45034 instead of 45036. First it was available for pick up in box at 45036 as needed, but delivered to 45034. It was a first class envelope with RRR, which tracking shows just acceptance and nothing else. No signs of cashing my check or notification or anything

-
Mailed my package Nov. 07, it took USPS a week (!) to deliver it, so it says it was delivered Nov. 14, no updates so far from AZ...
-
mindthegap, just checked your timeline below your post. Sorry for your situation and wish you and all of us good luck.
I am trying to stay positive, just sent my reply to RFE with evidence, without even mentioning the word "mistake" or "error", because I plan to petition for citizenship in November

-
USCIS just refused to file any electronic inquiries by phone. So I will just send my reply to RFE today in line with all of your, guys, recommendations and will hope for fast correction of their error and actually my GC.
Thank you all for your responsiveness, support and advice.
-
At infopass the immigration officer admitted the error. I was told to call 1-800 number and make an electronic inquiry then reply in writing to the RFE.
I can also come 30 days before NOA1 expiration date and have my pass stamped. I just hope it will not take that long

-
lucybelle, thank you. Do you think I should resend all the initial proofs or maybe also add some recent documents and pictures, 6 months is a long period of time...
-
EM_Vandaveer, thank you for your reply.
MsDDD, thanks so much, will call again and talk to them as you recommended.
-
Hi everybody,
Just received RFE:
"Your conditional permanent residence expired on January 29, 2016. Your Form I-751 was filed on November 05, 2015, or 11 months late. Submit a written and signed explanation discussing my failure to file Form I-751 timely along with evidence to support the reasons why this application was filed late."
So, guys,
My GC expired January 29, 2016
My NOA1 is November 05, 2015 and I got an extension letter.
I filed 90 days before the GC expiration date as stipulated by the Law.
I had biometrics done on December 02, 2015.
What is my fault? Where is my mistake?
Already scheduled an infopass this Thursday.
Cannot afford a lawyer, and why would I have a lawyer?
Called USCIS, they say I have to reply to RFE anyway, I guess just by sending my NOA1 to them? Or how else? Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance!

CSC here, NOA1 - April 24, NO2 - July 11, but no mail or text yet, just status change on the USCIS website. It took less than 3 months, very happy, many thanks to the whole VJ community, CSC. Good luck to all filers! It`s just a matter of patience!

in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports

Hello VJ family,
I became a US citizen yesterday. The oath ceremony took place at the Federal Court House downtown Detroit. The judge was very pleasant and down to earth, did an interesting presentation on his family immigration from Italy.
I believe there were 79 people from more than 20 countries.
Please mark me red. It feels incredible and I cannot wait for all of you here to feel the same.
Thank you all for your continuous support and good luck!
