  1. Hey all,

Interesting situation here guys, here goes:

I filed for my ROC in September '15, the same month my CGC expired.

In November i got the i-551 stamp that had me within status as a PR for one year while we wait through the process.

I finally got approved over the week and it got me wondering; the whole year that i've been a PR makes it a 3 year period for me.

Does this not make me eligible for naturalization.? Or does the count get reset and i have to use up one year on the 10 year GC?

It wouldn't have made sense filing the N-400 while waiting for my ROC to be processed. But now that i know its been approved, it seemed right to at least ask.

  2. Hey Guys,

This forum has been so much help for me throughout the process. I think i have found myself in another situation where i need you guys. Here goes.

First, i took my sweet time before i filed my i-751(my bad). I mailed it a day(28th sept) before deadline and about 10 days before we moved. The move had taken so much of our time so i was basically getting the forms and what not as time permitted. some of the papers were put in the envelope as early as march.

I figured ill get my NOA before we move so i can then use the Receipt notice to change my address. So i put my current address at the time. I didn't get any mail from them until the move. i immediately changed the address on USPS hoping for some mail-forwarding. I waited a month nothing came through. I went to the previous apartment to check and i got nothing. Finally something got forwarded to me last thursday(Nov 3). It was a biometric appointment for the 30th of October. So i basically missed my appointment because of issues beyond my control. Therein is the situation.

The thing now is, where do i go from here.?

Any advice is appreciated. I will be calling the USCIS as soon as i post this to see if i can speak to a human.

    Thanks Guys.

  3. Ha ha it means chief little rascal

it's a petname from her childhood, everyone in her neighborhood called her that.

But she refused to tell me lol. so I went over to mom and asked, more like bribed her for the name and then I brought it back. she didn't believe it lol because she thought she had killed the name forever.

I have one too, she's been trying to figure it for the past two years, she hasn't found a yet and she never will.

    * Evil grin*

  4. First off... congratulations!

The proper way should be with your first name fully spelled and the middle initial. If it was me I would want it that way especially if all your other government cards and/or ID's are that way. I would worry about trouble down the road with it not being correct and not matching the other cards. I think I'd schedule an infopass and get this corrected as soon as possible. Who knows, but if you wait too long, like a year or something, they might try charging you as if it's a lost card replacement which I believe is around $400 or so.

One more hurdle I know but you really should get it fixed. IMHO

    Thanks so much,

I will look into scheduling an infopass appointment as soon as my schedule permits.

3 weeks after easy interview but still no updatesClockWatch2.gif

Now have infopass in 2 weeks.

Will start search information how contact with Congressman.

Hopefully you hear something before the infopass appointment.

What State are you filing from?
