We met in 2009 when I came to Ghana as a US Peace Corps Volunteer. We have been together since then. I finished my Peace Corps service in 2012 and stayed in Ghana to work. In April 2012 he made his first trip to the US to meet my family and ask their permission. In December 2012 he finally proposed after 3 years together and we made our second trip to the US to share the news and celebrate with my family. We filed in December and are planning the wedding for May 2014.
