Hi everyone,

Applied for N400  April 29   Based in 5 years residents 

Biometric in may 

Aug 27 the Interview scheduled at October 01

My interview was supposed to be yesterday (October first), the receptionist took the  letter of interview and she ask me to wait till they call me ,

After 30 minutes the receptionist call me again and she ask me “ sir why you are here today ?”  The question surprised me 😮      She already have the letter in her hand,         I answer I’am here for the interview     She ask again what kind of interview !   And i told here the citizenship interview   She ask did you received any letter about interview cancellations or changing the date of it ?   I said no 

Did you change your address ?    I said no          She said ok just set down and we will call you 

After almost 20 minutes she call me and she said    We are so sorry We do not have enough staff today and we are overbooked 😯😯 so you can not get your interview today  and we will send a letter for you with the new appointment 

I tried to ask here how is that happening   The interview was scheduled since 2 month ago    But she said the same thing .

I feel this is not the truth  and there are something else happened   

The statues of the case in the website is the same   Nothing  changes  I feel a disappointment  and i do not know what i can do 

Any one have ideas 💡 

Notes (events happened after i applied): 

• My wife Died  after I applied the form    And i uploaded the Death certificate to USCIS account 
• There's a problem that happened to me since three months because DCF but i got dismissed from the court and i also uploaded the dismissed certificate  to uscis (before the interview by four days)
• I got married again (certificate uploaded) 

Any advice 

Hi Every One ,  I would like to ask if you applied N400 based in Five years   and after you send the form to USCIS  your Marital Status changed like your previous wife was Died 

and you got Married to another one ,

is that effect your application and i have to do any thing ?      the problem is the interview very soon in October early

After we finished on the civic questions, yes or no questions and writing + reading test, he asked me questions like where do I currently live right now and ask my complete address, how old is my kid, did I leave the country during my N400 application process, my current phone number, where do I work. Hope this helps.

my kids Case since MAY2014 and the last update was in Aug 22 2014 (RFE) it's transfer to Nebraska center and since that time no any news

Probably best to make an Infopass appointment and go to the office directly.

I did't contact them since October but i send inqury throu the online and they answer me that they have a load work .

my wife is a USC and she filed I130&I485 for my minor child as a step parent in May 2014 (from B2 Visa),

First NOA was received and also the second one ,

Nebraska received my response in Aug 22 2014 and they said i should have a response in Oct22 2014 and untill now i did not hear any thing from theme (my case is to my minor child) AOS from vistor to permenant residences .

I'am still waiting since May 29 ( i130&i485 ) for minor stepchild (AOS from tourism visa)

Last action : in august 2014 they ask for RFE and they recevied in august 22 And since that date ther's no news

Yes it's in Nebraska , it's for my kids not for me

my husband filed I130 for me. They received on May 27, 2014. No news since then

I'am still wait since May 29 ( i130&i485 ) for my stepchild

Does anyone have any idea what application date the Nebraska service center is processing? We filed in May 2014 for I-130&I-485 (Minor stepchild ) .

The all if kids is under 14 (minor) Did they need interview ?

In august 22 They update the website They said " On August 22, 2014, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC********. Our Nebraska Service Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you. You should receive a decision or case update by October 21, 2014, unless fingerprinting or an interview are needed."

Till now there's no update and I am still wait

We make the biometrics in June

Since three days they set a date (apoiment) to make Biomitric and it will be after one week , But today i received other email says

"On June 12, 2014, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

i sent again form I130 and I485 with my US citizen wife petitioning as their step-parent , and i received the I797 notice today for both of forms , for I130 it was written : "the i130, Petition for alien relative has been received by our office for the following beneficiaries and is in process"

and theirs priority date in may 2014.

for I-485 the notice said "Notice Type Is Receipt and priority date is the same in may 2014 and was written "the above case has been received by our office and is in process."

and theirs no else

when i chek in the side of USCIS for case status i finded for both forms in "initial Review"

did any one know what is the next step , because as you see they did't ask me to do any thing !
