  1. Guys!!!!! We've got approved!!!! It has been a long long waiting!! I can't believe it! and I can't explain how it feels to see those words...

It wouldn't have been possible to reach to this stage without VisaJourney forums. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. To those who are still waiting, I wish you the best of luck! Keep praying, and I hope you all get good news soon.

We had to wait almost 8 months in order to get our approval, but the waiting is over! :)

  2. So after our 601 was approved on feb 23 we had final interviews scheduled for March 3 and March 10 both were cancelled and put on AP after endless emails to the embassy and getting no response from them. I had my congresswoman email them and within 2 days we got scheduled for April 29 for final interview sooooo happy we are almost done. Just had to share with you guys

I can feel your happiness!! Those are great news!! Thank you for sharing them with us :).

  3. Sorry your dwheelness. :(

Spoke to Reese and what a B she is said I DO NOT HAVE A CASE COMPLETE that it's under Supervisor Review to get it complete and can take up to 30 days to get this done. But she didn't think it would take that long.

I called again right away and spoke to Torry nicer but of no help and said the same your case is not Case Complete and it's in the hands of a Supervisor asked if I could talk to them the obvious NO we are not in the same department and they don't take calls.

This is why I hesitated to post I had CC, I just can't believe thing they say. :(

Don't get sad. A week before we've received the letter saying our case was complete, my husband had called the NVC and they replied that our case was being reviewed and that we should give them 60!!! days. After one week, we've got the email with the magic words on it =).

  4. Congrats on your cc! I noticed you were scheduled for an interview right away. Did they email you or did you call them?

    Congratulations to you too!!! :)

We had called last week and they told us that they were reviewing the IV Package and that we should wait 60 days...

We were going to call this week again, on Thursday 04th, but on Wednesday 03rd we both received an email, with the date of the interview.

  5. For 2012, he should file as either MFS or MFJ. If he filed previous as MFJ in 2011, then you have an ITIN, so if he wants a higher refund amount, he should file MFJ again in 2012.

If you've already sent your AOS package in, I'd suggest just bringing a copy of the 2012 amended tax form to the interview. Unless you get a checklist for the AOS package. Then send it in with your response, mentioning why in the cover letter.

Nope, no need to tell them. They'll know if you're doing EP or not depending on how they receive your documents (by snail mail or email).

Thank you very very much Saylin!

  6. Hello all, I need advice please.

I’ve just realized that my husband (the petitioner) has filed his 2012 Tax return as single, following the advice of the tax agent.

At 2011 I was still in the USA, so he filed as married jointly, and on 2013, as I was not there the entire year and he has another dependent, he filed as head of household, again following the advice of the tax agent.

So I’m guessing that the tax that he has to amend is the 2012 one. He should file as married separately, right?

On the other hand, once he submits the request of the amendment, should we inform the NVC?

We’ve already sent the AOS package on June 19. Should we wait to hear from them in order to send the copy of the request submitted or we should wait till I get the interview and take the amended tax with me?

I’m a bit confused; I would really appreciate if anyone can help.

    Thank you!! Mariana

  7. Good grief, it's been 4 weeks since I completed the ds261 and still nothing on the IV invoice!!! How much longer will I have to wait? This is rediculous, I was stuck in the main group of the backlog at USCIS and now the backlog here at NVC and they are stalling us by not having the invoice available ggrrrrr

I've completed the DS261 on May 18 and after a month and a week, I've got IV invoice.

I've sent them two emails and my husband has called one time. We've got the invoice the day after the call. I hope it helps, don't worry. =)
