  1. Does anyone has experience with rescheduling interview dates? If I reschedule, how soon would I have the next reschedule date?

I've heard 30 to 60 days but in the interview letter they send you are the specific instructions to be taken to reschedule. Best advice is...... Call the 1800 USCIS number.

    uscis.gov

Please make every effort to appear for your scheduled appointment for fingerprinting, interview, or other processing. Failure to appear can delay processing of your case, and can result in your not receiving the benefit for which you applied. However, if an emergency arises and you absolutely cannot make your appointment, follow any reschedule instructions on your appointment notice. The local USCIS office will make the final decision whether to reschedule your appointment.

  2. Congrats to you... Question.. Did you get any online updates right after your interview? We got approved on the spot yesterday and I am just wondering when I will be hearing anything from them?

Their system is really bad so don't worry about notifications anymore, 2 or 3 weeks max you'll get your green card in the mail. In my case, I got an email that my case was being reviewed. Some people get their card production notification the same day. You got approved so dont worry, the hard part is over :D you'll get your green card soon (same process as EAD: card production, second card production etc etc). Congratulations!!! Lets enjoy being permanent residents :D

  3. Omg!!! I can't believe not too good things are happening to you as well. Well at least they didn't cancel your interview so you can figure it out what's going on next week. They might just sent you a wrong letter or something. If I were you and if you have one contact with your lawyer. I don't know why are they doing this????!!!! Ugh!!!! Well I hope it turns out well for you. Let us know!

It could be a mistake because my spouse is a USC, this letter sounds like its for a LPR. I still have my interview next Monday, I'll try to find out what it is before that. I'll post what happens just in case somebody receives the same letter. Thanks for your support!!

  4. It looks like things are getting screwy with you too hahahaha slowly the imperfection of the system is catching up to you... Don't worry I don't wish anyone bad luck or anything smile.png And you thought the system is perfect??!!

My dear friend you are so predictable, I was waiting for you to comment, I see you didn't disappoint me. So lets break your comment in pieces, first you say "It looks like things are getting screwy with you too hahahaha slowly the imperfection of the system is catching up to you..." But then you say "Don't worry I don't wish anyone bad luck or anything" do you see what I see? You have a big problem with logic, please don't make a fool of yourself. And as I said, USCIS does a good job, most cases go smooth but like in every system.... SH!T happens. The difference is, some people understand that, some others don't.

  5. You are suggesting "take it or leave it"...that's not a very constructive approach ;) My finger print took more than an hour to be called but...that's not the only thing though. I know many stories of their errors that delay the cases eventually for everyone else. You are lucky if you don't fall through their nonsense or cracks... I am glad you feel blessed to be here :) Well I am happy to be here too :)

AND yes they are getting a lot better with the time frame...in the past it would take you forever. I understand and sympathize with everyone including me anxiously waiting to get an update on EAD since without that you suffer financially. It would be reasonable if they get the EAD approved first and quicker so that at least applicant/petitioner can work... while they work on GC approval and interview procedure.....and don't think I am just writing this here...I did tell them when I called them :)

I'm not suggesting anything, just pointing out your "hey USCIS ####### where is my stuff!" Attitude. Good luck! Just don't talk ####### about the people that gave me my EAD hehehe Just kidding!! And always remember, the EAD takes UP TO 90 days ;)

  6. It says a lot about their carelessness and incompetence...I see that Baba's interview was cancelled due to the need for training for the employees...well it looks justified now.

I saw a grim picture of operation when I went for biometrics. As I was siting there...I noticed each employee would take two applicants at a time...took their sweet time...checked their phone in the middle of it for text, missed call, facebook update, twitter or god knows what...couple of times then when finished took a break for 5-10 mins then walked lazily back to desk to call for next applicants....they love their job that much. I have been in the US for a long time....I see this picture any time I go to a govt. office....it's a shame!!!

3-5 months for an AOS process is not fast enough for you? To get your fingerprints takes 30 min MAX!! 2 months and a half to get work permit, 1 day to get SSN, What are you talking about? You might be from a country where the government offices work SUUUUPER fast!! I believe they do an awesome job and I thank them and God for being here, if we were here without a green card for so long it's because we decided to.

  7. Thanks for the encouragement to all of you guys. I hope you guys get the EAD as soon as possible. I know how difficult it is to sit at home and not being able to work or drive or do anything. I just got the notice in the mail that they cancelled it for unforeseen circumstances. Talked to my lawyer as well and she told me we are her second couple who just recently got cancellation notice and I should be confident that nothing is wrong with the case. I really hope we will get the new date very soon. Well once again I am just waiting. :crying:

    They cancelled your EAD?

  8. I know there were couple of you having trouble at the social security office and they sent you home to wait 4 weeks cause the EAD is too new. And also had trouble getting a driving license. Just wanted to share my experience with you all hope it helps:

The day after I got my EAD card I went to the social security office. They usually say wait 10 days before you go, but I couldn't wait. I was desperate to get my driving license as soon as possible. I received my card on 4/11/2013. On my EAD the date was 4/3/2013 and I went to the office on 4/12/2013. It was almost 10 days, but not yet. I printed out and fill out the form from the internet on the social security website. Went there and the guy just asked for my passport and my Ead card and the form. He said everything was fine in the system and I should get my number in 2 weeks. I told him I want to get my driver license and if he could give me any kind of documentation. He said I could come back on Tuesday cause they need 48hours to have my number in the system and they can give me a print out then that has my number on it. So I did go and got the print out with my number.

After that headed to the DMV. She only needed my EAD, SSN (I only had the print out) and 2 proof of my address. My other license expired for 11 months which was from a different state. I gave her that too. I was wondering if they will make me take the written test again. But I only had to do the eye exam. There was no problem and now I have my driver license. Wohooo.

So I went to the SSA office yesterday to get my SSN, they told me to come back today if I wanted to get my number. I just went there and I got it!! I'm at the DMV now :D

  9. Yes I Did!! If you would like read my earlier post bout Ssn and drivers license post. I think it's on page 34. it went very well. When I got there they told me I was clear in their system. And yesterday I got my actual card:)

Wow thanks for the info! It actually answered some questions I had. And congratulations on getting your SSN and DL, too bad we can't get the number the same day huh? :-/ oh well, I'm too happy to complain :D

  10. We received the second production notice today. How long does it take to ship them out?

Next business day = Monday 22nd and then later that day (hours later) you get another update, go to the USCIS website, type in your case number and you'll find the USPS tracking number. 2-3 business days later you'll get your EAD in the mail. So I would say you'll get it next Wednesday or Thursday.

    Hope that answers your question.
