CSC filers let's wake up CSC. It's sleeping again! Where are the approvals??
-
-
vsc has 5 today , csc non, maybe people do not update their timeline, Or could be a slowdown again.
Looks like it's a slowdown. Not a very promising number of VJ member approvals. It is time to put the pressure on again
-
the sudden 3 day CSC slowdown worries me. can't help it!
-
Up till about a month ago CSC management was unaware of any processing delays. "Not aware"... only shows what kind of management they have. VJs be the judge.
The flood of congressional inquires caused an internal review. Kudos to VJ members' efforts!!!
The result was a decision to hire additional staff. That staff is currently going through training. I hope they don't mess up on our papers
The dream act has had no effect on work load at CSC in regard to K-1 applications. The increased load has come from an increase in K-1 applications being filed Their website data says otherwise
and the internal water problems.
No work has been shunted off to Virginia.
The Goal of the hiring is to get processing times back down to 5 months. Hopefully
Many aides are keeping as close eye on CSC which should keep the pressure on. Yes! Be an eagle for us!
The dates on the CSC website are useless. She said as long as there is one July application still in the system the date will continue to show July even though later months work are being approved. Ohhh I see
She told me with a January NOA1 she would not expect an approval until July-August even with the new hiring.
Applications are processed out of order because every officer has a stack and will work from oldest to newest in that stack. Additionally some officers work faster then others. I hope they hire only the best qualified and fast workers
As the backlog at CSC is moved down the line, processing times at NVC are expected to increase to 3 months. New policies require the Embassy to set an appointment date BEFORE the paperwork is sent from NVC. In my case appointments are being scheduled at Bangkok out about 3-4 months. Which means after the appointment is set and the paperwork is forwarded, it will be an additional wait of 3 months. During that time she can get her physical etc.
In the opinion of this aide, with a January NOA1 she would expect us to have everything complete and ready to travel no earlier then January 2014. She said she could be wrong, but looking at her other cases and recent history, 12 months from NOA1 to completion is about what we should expect.
Thanks for the update
Much appreciated!!!

I'm actually planning on doing that tonight after work. I've had great luck in actually getting answers (that USUALLY make sense and seem accurate) from the Ombudsman email, three different times that I've emailed. I'll put together a sternly worded question email tonight and see if it gets any response, not holding my breath though.
Please do and please keep us posted. Thanks
Looks like its time to start putting pressure back on senators, congressmen and ombudsman...
Agree! We cannot let this happen... again!
-
It's 7:30 PM PST. Any CSC approvals yet? Is there another slowdown going on??
-
Facebook changes every now and then and it bothered me (sometimes!) but in the end I get used to it. I'm sure I'll get use to this new VJ look and setup
-
You can write it by hand or type or a mix. BTW, cebu is the city like Cebu city. It isn't a province.
Cebu City is a city in the province of Cebu. Just like Tarlac City is a city in the province of Tarlac
-
Hooray!!!
Congratulations! Keep it coming CSC!
-
Thank you for constantly contacting the Ombudsman. It's helping move CSC do their job.
-
Crossing my fingers, hoping and praying that approvals keep coming
go! CSC go!

they updated the date for the month of april they are still stuck with I129f at july and still processing at 7 1/2 months!!!
the date at the top of the page you are referring to means nothing. Chart says as of February 2013. I also meant this chart.... http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=6&office=2&charttype=1 Once they update this, it would look good because of the padding thing they are doing now.
-
Thats probably why they are padding . Because they got behind and need to catch up. If they rotate though July, Aug, Sept and Oct slowly and do sooner it will make the numbers look better.
I use to do HP support and sometimes when the queue got to large they would take another group toss them in to take the quick calls to pad the queue time from 1 hr wait to 20 min wait so people moved. The people who sat there for 1 hour already wouldnt complain as much as someone sitting for 30 min. I guess they thought it took the fight out of them.
J
this padding thing seems unfair. what happened then to 'adjudicating in the order they were received"

This may have caused the jump for CSC-USCIS to process late November and early December filers. I got this from the thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/422555-quick-response-from-ombudsman-csc/
"The Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) processing time at the California Service Center (CSC) has slipped based on competing agency priorities. The CSC is realigning resources to address the processing times for certain forms to include the Form I-129F. As additional officers are assigned to this workload, the center expects to reduce the current processing time for Form I-129F."
..in order for them to say they have reduced the processing time when they next update their website. That seems to be their solution to reduce the processing time, to save face from the Ombudsman... of course, at the expense of not doing much on July to early November filers (which petitions are too late to be within the 4-5 month timeframe)
-
Not to be too much of a downer, but if they average the wait times then it would make sense that they would jump ahead and do a few random ones to make the overall wait time look less, so they look not as far away from their goals.
i.e. process 2 that are around 200 days, and 2 that are around 100, so it looks like the average is 150 days to wait.
I hope that's not the case.
was on the same thought. This could be a set up to appease the rant they are getting from petitioners and maybe from senators or congressmen that already made the inquiries... so they could say, "hey, we processed Nov and Dec" and could say further "we didn't lie, we did process them". trying not to be negative but this runs through mind. BUT I hope and pray they really are moving. Congratulations
to those that got approved. I'm keeping my fingers cross for the rest of us
-
We got a letter back from our Senator thanking us for alerting them to the problems at California and telling us they are waiting a response from California Service Centre. I guess they wrote to them
please do update us on any action about this. And please follow up on your senator... thanks for the help. i hope an action favoring petitioners will be implemented soon

Isn't that a ridiculous situation where just one Center Director has the power to make a single solitary important decision like that and has this ability to majorly delay and keep legal law abiding couples apart? And USC who are going through the proper process/procedures get shafted? It is a shame that we as law abiding United States Citizens do not take precedence over illegal law breaking individuals who are rewarded in such a way that they get golden tickets to continue living their lives quickly, even though they are already here in the USA. Is there any rhyme or reason that can help me understand this better? Because this really looks so BAD on the California Service Centers part in all this. What is even worse, my own k-1(I-209F) is at CSC and this is heartbreaking!
I suspect political agenda behind and not pure humanitarian reason. It equates more votes for "them" coming from these "immigrants"
-
There's a queue and there's a priority assigned by type, by the Center Director.
Queue is normal, FIFO, and the priority is changed at whim.
That's it, really. DACA mess up for others? Absolutely ! Why? The Center Director made a decision.
...yes, priority changed at whim.... at the expense of people doing immigration the legal way!

found this in youtube. the petition was actually made by Robb last January. too bad it only got less than 100 signatures compared to some petitions that just makes no sense when i visit petition.whitehouse.gov.
if only we can request for an expedite then they would have more money to hire and pay people to do the work and we will all be happy with our loved ones being in the US already. this petition had expired already without even getting atleast 100 signatures.
aaww! i wish i have seen this sooner, i could have signed
Maybe it wasn't spread enough among petitioners
-
I think there is a hiring freeze for the federal government. There was talk of government furlough, in some branches. If the government can't budget the money, then I doubt they will realize that expedited visa's could generate more money, not to mention that there is a pretty good chunk of money for what I am thinking is only 30 minutes of work for each petition...
I'd be more than willing to pay for expedite than wait. But it seems like this will only be a dream

Seems many do not understand the processing date. The processing date is the earliest date (July 18 for CSC) the the service center is processing. In this case the CSC asserts they have completed processing all earlier petitions (July 17th and earlier). The processing date will not change until CSC has completed all July 18 petitions. At least to some percentage they have set. Furthermore if the receipt date (not the NOA1) is July 17th or earlier the service center allows you to place a service request. As you can see the service centers can and does work ahead of the processing date. It is clear that CSC is deliberately holding back some number of July 18 petitions(remember receipt date not NOA1 date). When CSC decides to advance the processing date you will get the indication right here on vj's Igor list long before the USCIS starts reporting a new processing date. First you will see a significant amount of July 23 filers being approved (July 23 NOA1 is likely July 19 receipt date). After you see a mass of July 23 filers being approved guess what the processing date will be...It may still be July 18 because the receipt date reported is a month or so behind the current date....Hope this helps
Ohhh... thanks

Yes, if you do the math, that means less than 2 people have been working on the K1's. You'd think they would be able to get 1 or 2 more people to work on them and double their pathetic output, but that is too difficult for them. As was said, a decision was made to do this, and we get the shaft because of it.
Sad
. I wonder where our fees are used? Seems unfair

This post you linked to is already pinned on the top of the K-1 forums to make it visible and accessible to everyone who is using the K-1 forums.
I understand... but I wanted to point out on one of the interview question that is, if "in just a few minutes, they adjudicate 15-20 petitions a day per person"...why are approvals so slow then?
Also, as I pointed in another thread about the interview "Why is VSC taking so long, what happened? I was approved in 58 days!: We had problem with labor last year and lost many workers, we hired more last November and it took some time to get them trained. Some of the petitions were sent to California and we also assign people to different types of visas. They will concentrate on one type, get behind on another and then shift many people back to the other type. Lately we have shifted many, almost all, adjudicators to I-129fs, so that should make people happy. They will do that until they get caught up. Summer is a busy time for I-129fs, usually about June we get slammed with them. The winter or early spring is the slowest time for I-129fs, but then it depends what they have everyone working on also." It's like an Aha! moment... so it means they must have shifted to DACA processing and there was/is a "shift in priorities" of processing/adjudications because of the influx of another immigration agenda by a 'higher' authority (you know who). The suspicion is TRUE then about DACA prioritization. And if this director still exist, why can't this VJ member contact him and ask for help for us? Just a thought ... can they not turn around then and start doing 129-F?? I know they can but when?? That is why the 'crusade' to bombard them with inquiry must go on. =)
After 3 weeks... Is CSC slowing down again?
