  1. USCIS My Case Status Update:

On December 3, 2013, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for January 8, 2014. Please follow the instructions on the notice, etc...

November 19 is when I got the e-mail saying that our case is ready for interview scheduling (2 weeks ago). I guess it takes a while between that step and actually deciding on the interview date but it's alright because my wife should be receiving her EAD tomorrow, thank God!

Best of luck to all my fellow October filers :)

  2. yes today is DAY 60 and my ead application moved from initial review to card production

how long before they mail it?

I just got my EAD e-mail as well saying it is in Card Production :) Funny how it just jumps from Initial Review to the last and final step, huh?

My I-485 is still in Testing and Interview (we haven't received the letter yet) but frankly my wife doesn't care about that....all that matters to her is that she starts working kicking.gif

Good luck to everyone who hasn't received their EAD yet. Be patient, you will get the e-mail sooner than you know it!

  3. I thought I read somewhere that it was possible to get more RFE's ? I am about 85% certain I read it some place....

It is definitely possible to get multiple RFE's. During my wife's Fiance Visa, we got 2 RFE's which sucks because you would think they would send you all the missing information in one RFE but that's not how the USCIS works.

Good luck to all those still waiting! We received an e-mail on 11/19 saying that we should be getting something in the mail regarding interview scheduling :) Although honestly, all my wife cares about at this point is the EAD, she wants to start working already!!

  4. ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU JESUS, JUST GOT A TEXT FROM TSC @ 9:16PM SAYING MY I129F HAS BEEN APPROVED.LIKE TO THANK EVERY BODY THAT HELP ME THRU THIS PAINFUL SITUATION, AND ESPECIALLY BATONROUGE BILL AND VAN 1234 ESSA, THINK YOU GUYS VERY MUCH, GETTING READY FOR ROUND 2.

CONGRATULATIONS BEBOYBEBOY!!! THIS IS AWESOME NEWS ! :D you guys have both waited long and endured so much but alas the end is in sight! Good luck on the rest of your journey, may it be much better than what you've experienced so far, cheers ! kicking.gif

  5. I think/hope all those who suffered thru an RFE will have by the end of the 90 days they allowed themselves.

I was begining to think I was being punished for pestering them as they kept adding 30-60 days everytime I enquired..

My fiance thinks I should send the senators immigration laison some flowers or chocolates, hmm, Im not sure she wasnt just doing the bare minimum of her job requirement. I will of course do as my fiance asks hehe. Good luck, I will be following you guys here at the end, I know how you feel.

    CONGRATULATIONS BATON ROUGE BILL!!

Glad to hear that you finally got approved there, buddy! We've been rooting for you :) It's really sad that it took so long and that there are other fellow December filers still waiting, I feel that the whole system is broken and needs a revamping into the 21st Century.

I wish you the best of luck on your next steps, you deserve to be with your fiance very soon. Cheers! kicking.gif

  6. Great news Ramsey!!!

    Go to www.dhl.com

Under Track Your Shipment, choose More Tracking Options and Select 'Track by Shippers Reference'

Then in Shipper's Reference type "EXP 02 JUL 2013A" to see a list of all of the ones sent out yesterday.

Since it was just shipped yesterday, however, it will not show up until this evening. smile.png

(To get an idea though, you can put in "EXP 01 JUL 2013A")

Have fun tracking your package. Enjoy Lebanon!

Thanks for the quick reply, jenafid! I was successful in finding my case :) I see on your timeline that you are (or will be) reunited with your fiance today (July 3). That is amazing news!! kicking.gif I hope I get a speedy approval as I am going to visit my fiance today (I arrive in Lebanon tomorrow) and I'm crossing my fingers, hoping that we get the interview and final approval before I come back here to the USA on July 30.

Best of luck to you cool.png

  7. UPDATE
Hey everyone, so after some digging, I was able to find the thread that describes how to track your shipment through the DHL website so I will share it with you all.

    1. Go to www.dhl.com, then click Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference

    2. On this page you will add your search info. Change the day and month to what you think your's might have left NVC. This is trial and error, I had to use July 01, although the NVC told me that it shipped July 02.

    EXAMPLE:
    * Shipper´s Reference : EXP 02 JUL 2013A
    * Date range for shipment - From: 06 - 30 - 2013
    * Date range for shipment - To: 07 - 03 - 2013
Account Number - Leave this blank
Shipment Destination: Lebanon (Choose your country)

Apparently, my package has been shipped from the Cincinnati Hub and is en route to Beirut. Best wishes to all :)

  8. April RFE family, I have an update (and a question). Firstly, I am happy to announce that my package was shipped to Beirut from the NVC yesterday biggrin.pngbiggrin.pngbiggrin.png This, of course, took me by surprise since my NOA2 date is June 20 and it hasn't even been 2 weeks yet! Anyways, I think Takeo mentioned that there is a way to track the package, was anyone able to do that? I have been reading the guides but can't find anything related to this topic. Can someone link me? Thanks for your help! Good luck everyone cool.png

They will be needed when the package reaches the Embassy in your home country

Hey lovelylovegia, haven't heard from you in a while ! It really sucks that they lost your RFE reply and you had to send a new one. That's just as bad as the fact that I received a 2nd RFE :( I hope they process your RFE reply soon, at least they got it this time!! I am happy to say that I got my NOA2 on June 20 , woohoo after a long wait. My case is somewhere on the way to NVC right now, hopefully it gets there soon. I am leaving to Lebanon to visit my fiance in less than 48 hours so I'm pretty stoked :)

Wish you the best of luck on your journey!!

  11. Congrats Ramsey! I knew you'd get it soon! smile.png

Thanks Daveykins, glad you had faith in my case! Good luck on your interview :)

Ramsey: Seeee, I told you you will get your approval! CONGRATULATIONSSSS.. SO HAPPY FOR YOU! PLEASE PRAY FOR ME.. I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN MINE 12/17 NOA1.

    GOOD LUCK TO YOU!

Yes, you told me I would get it soon !! Thank you so much LovenHope23 for the kind words :) I will continue to pray that you will get your NOA2 soon, I know how you feel, trust me! But I have faith they will process yours sooner rather than later, especially since many people have been approved recently from the TSC cool.png Best of luck on your journey!

  12. Hi Ramsey, Congrats!! I'm currently in Japan visiting my fiancee and got the email notice that you responded and I read the good news! It's been a journey but you are almost there. We slowed things down cause of this trip but will schedule the embassy interview soon. Our NVC to embassy step was fast. Aloha my friend!

Thanks a bunch, Takeo ! I am definitely almost there and I'm so happy that your case has made so much progress, WOW, I was just checking your timeline and it looks like it was moving a lot faster than you were expecting, huh? It looks like it only took 2 weeks from NOA2 ---> Consulate received, that must be a record hehe so what is the Packet 3 and Packet 4? Is that regarding the AOS and my fiance's medical? Glad to hear you are in Japan with your loved one, that is very heart-warming, indeed. Aloha buddy ! Enjoy your summer vacation to the max :)

  13. Thank you so much Ramsey! Seeing your approval yesterday was the topping on the cake of a wonderful day for me smile.png

From this point forward, the advice I would give would be to look ahead at what is needed at the consulate. Do this by checking your consulate-specific information here on VJ and also look at the consulate website. You can fill out the I-134 form and the supporting documents and send all of that with your copies of I-129F package and RFE packages to your fiance now.

The DS forms can also be filled out now. It takes a couple of weeks for NVC to receive your file and send it off to the consulate. Before getting your civil document (police report and such) know how long they are valid for. In Morocco they are only for 2 months, so we waited until we had an interview date. But you can certianly look into the process to get them and find a translator that you can use.

The biggest advice I could give though, is to not worry or panic! We went through the Casablanca consulate and heard so many times that it can be horrible there and they deny so many fiance petitions and that we would be better off canceling the petition, getting married, and then trying for a spousal visa. This was not our experience at all! The consulate was very helpful in getting us an early interview date, and my fiance had a great experience there. The staff were nothing but friendly and respectful. There were times that we had allowed the stories of others to seriously effect our mood and attitude. But at the end of the day, there was nothing to worry about. It's only natural to be anxious; the CO's decision has a huge impact on the next year or so of your life. But try to breathe, relax, and look at the interview NOT as an opportunity for them to deny you, but as an opportunity to explain your relationship and convince them that you deserve this!

I am really happy for you and your fiance! Please let me know if you have any questions or anything along the way. Keep us all updated!

Wooow, I couldn't thank you more for this wealth of information you've provided me, I really appreciate it. I will be doing a lot of research and reading right now regarding my consulate and exactly what is required. Luckily my fiance has a lot of free time on her hands now and can obtain all the documents required from her for the Beirut embassy.

We will try not to worry too much, I think our biggest worry was getting the NOA2, because I've heard from many members here that it really picks up after that and that we should get all our paperwork ready immediately. I spoke to my uncle regarding the consulate (he was a VJ member back in 2009) and he said it was very smooth, and that they respond to e-mails quickly and can accommodate an early interview date :) I hope he's right! It would be a blessing for my fiance and I if we could have an interview date 5 weeks after our NOA2, like your case! Even if it takes a little longer, it won't be a problem but I will be praying hard for a quick turnaround. I will keep you posted, thanks again for the advice & I hope you will be reunited with your fiance VEEEEEERY SOON star_smile.gif

  14. Been watching here about you... Finally... Congratulations!!

On to you next steps... smile.png

Thanks Casey_Ana for following up on me, it took a while to get that NOA2, but it's here at last :) I have been looking at the next steps, I guess I will have to send my fiance the whole package with all RFE's and other info, as well as the Affidavit of Support. She will have to get her medical done. Hopefully we can have the visa in hand within the next 2 months, fingers crossed ! Any updates on your case?

  15. I check in to see all the time. So happy for you!!!

Thanks so much for always checking in, jenafid, you're the best ! :) I just noticed that you've had your interview yesterday AND got APPROVED !! Big congratulations to you, you can finally be reunited with your fiance here in America kicking.gif Please share any words of advice from your experience.
