  1. Hi,

I see you guys live in Charlotte, NC. I highly suggest you use an attorney at this point. The best one I would suggest is actually in your backyard in Rock Hill, SC. Schusterman Law Firm, PA. 803-325-7788 is the office number. You should definitely pursue this with the attorney at this point since it is going on for two years and a lot is at stake.

    I hope this helps.

  2. On December 24, 2014 we received emails/texts saying the permanent resident card was ordered for production. On January 2, 2015 we received an email stating it was mailed out by USPS. We have just received the welcome letter in the mail.

We filed the AOS with a receipt date of February 22, 2014. We received a waiver letter on June 5, 2014.

Hopefully the card will arrive in a day or two.

  3. I received my Waiver letter on June 3rd... and hadn't heard anything by November. Called them on November 13th, and they said they would inquire as to the status of my case. Received a letter last week saying they had no information on when my application would be processed... little bit annoying. Checked my online status and it still says "fingerprint fee received, we are working on your case". Hopefully I will hear something soon if people from June 5th are receiving their GC. Getting a little silly now..

We are in the same boat as you guys...We received the potential waiver letter June 5, 2014. Did you guys apply for the EAD/AP as well?

  4. We have filed our AOS from a K1 on February 21, 2014. We received the EAD/AP combo card end of May 2014. We receive the potential interview waiver letter on June 5, 2014. The online status shows fingerprint fee received on February 27, 2014.

I have made numerous phone calls and they advised to me to do a service request but never an answer to the request. I even did an expedite request since my wife has interviews coming up. Still no answer.

I see some people getting approved recently. What do you guys think? Are we close or it could be more months?

  5. i just received the potential interview waiver letter in the mail two days ago. Just a few questions... I filed at the end of February. We have received the EAD/AP combo card in late May. DOes this mean that there should be no RFE requests at this point for the Green Card? Our field office is Greer, SC. How long should I expect for this process to take place from this point. Also, has anyone had any experience with them still requiring an interview?

    Thanks again

  6. Hi Everyone

I have a quick question. I filed the AOS along with I-765 and I-131 for my wife who entered on a K-1 visa.. It was received by USCIS on February 26, 2014. Last week I received the EAD combo card in the mail. My status for the I-485 still shows in the acceptance stage on the case status site.

When I sent off the AOS package I included my 2012 tax return and transcripts for three years as well. I had not filed 2013 taxes at the time of filing since it was not due. I was wondering if this will be a problem for our application. We have not received anything or heard from them at all. I have since filed an extension for my 2013 taxes.

Also any idea why I have not heard regarding an interview or anything.

Any insight would be highly appreciated.

  7. I had mailed my wife's AOS package along with I-765 and I-131. It was received by USCIS on February 26, 2014. I received a RFE on May 1 for the I-765 and i-131 needing a physical address as opposed to a PO Box. They received the response on May 5, 2014. I checked the USCIS case status this morning. It shows the I-765 in document production and the I-131 in post decision activity stating they have mailed an approval notice.

Does anyone know how long they will take to send the EAD. Also the I-485 still shows in acceptance stage... Any thoughts or ideas as to why this is still showing acceptance? I have heard of people getting notification and tracking numbers. Where do you get this from?

    Thanks again

  8. I sent off the AOS package with I-765 and I-131. It was received on February 26, 2014 by the USCIS. Yesterday I received a RFE requesting a physical address as opposed to a PO Box that was listed on the application. Is this common?

I have already replied to their request and they should receive it on Monday May 5, 2014. Does anyone know how long it should take from this point to get approved.

    Thanks

  9. Just a note... My fiancee's visa was issued according to the state dept's website on August 27, 2013. The passport was received in hand today, September 4, 2013. It had showed AP for exactly two months from the interview date. I believe this was mostly due to an additional document that was requested from us.

I hope everyone hanging in limbo can survive the process.

  10. This is what was written on the status:

Case Creation Date: 23-Aug-2013 Status Updated Date: 23-Aug-2013
Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days. If no interview was required, please check back in two business days for the status of your application.
Now the interview has already taken place on June 27, 2013.
    Thanks for further input
  11. My fiancee interviewed on June 27, 2013 in Islamabad. They did keep her passport and requested another document which we submitted approximately five days later. The status was updated when they received the document. After that it showed that our case was in AP for about the past two months. Today, however, the status now shows READY.

I was wondering if anyone can offer any insight as to the status change online and what does it mean.

    Thanks
