  1. Anyone else's Fiancee/fiance on Pal PR102 flight from MNL to LAX? I have to kill 3 hours at LAX since parents are arriving earlier than my fiancee.

This is so exciting and nerve wrecking. I can barely work thinking she'll be here in 12 hours.

    Thanks and good luck.

  2. She did for the afternoon counseling session. You can't in the morning, since it will matter what time you are there and place in line. For the afternoon class, she was early since she got there at 7 or 8am. She was able to register for the afternoon class and they gave her the infamous pink ID tag thing. She left after registering and ate at a near by jolibee. Said the waiting area felt like a warehouse and was hot.

I mean the earlier the better. It depends really how busy they are on the day you want to attend. If you come there at 4am and you don't make it for the morning class, register for the afternoon and you should be able to still go that day. You will just have to burn some hours waiting.

  3. I was able to book mine online with Philippine Airlines 3 days ago. I had to enter her info (passport info/visa info) and it went just through just fine. I even called to confirm it. Only problem is I got an extra $19 foreign transaction fee. :(

  4. She attended the Manila location. She got there at 8am and it was full, she usually gets off work at 7am and couldn't make it earlier. She still has to work till Friday morning because of a proper resignation, so she can get back pay.

Thank you, I'm excited but freaking out a bit. I'm starting to clean the house really well, but too much work.

My parents are also coming the same day she is but on an earlier flight. So i'll be at the airport for 3 hours :( Oh well.

  5. Fiancee enjoyed her CFO counseling. She said it was very informative and had fun telling our story.

Ty VJ for all the help and guidance. This site is awesome when you need more info or strength throughout the journey. I'm sure if we felt alone we may have even given up. There were so many times I wanted to bail. She'll finally be here 1 week from today.

See some of you guys during AOS. :)

  6. When I was scheduling my Fiancee's appointment on Aug 19th, there was a spot left for the 22nd, 26th,27th, then it went to Sept. It was random, the 22nd had 2 available and the 26th had 33 available.

You can look at the appointment slots available once you have your case # and register on the site. IMO there should be plenty for Oct. the slots also free up when people cancel.

  7. I work at 4:30 am to support our east coast offices, So, I need to get some rest, I'll keep you updating whatever I hear from them.

We have an office in Edison, NJ too. She's planning to go with me in January. Hehe, I'm getting really excited now. damn

  8. My Fiancee and mom went there today at 4am Manila time and she is 3rd in line. The girl in front is scheduled for Aug 27th and the girl behind was scheduled for Aug 26th. At least other cancelled appt people are showing up. Good luck to whomever is going today, bring an umbrella. She just messaged and said there's a really long line now.

  9. Lol. I keep checking the website also hoping for a miralce it will change. My fiance is coming from Tanauan just a few miles away from Tagatay. I didnt send him yesterday because I felt bad that he traveled thru the flood last week since they made their made their announcement late last Tuesday. He is blaming me that I sent him the notice about the closing yesterday. He says I should have never messaged when you letting you know I was leaving then maybe I could have been interviewed. Hahaha. Good luck to your fiancee and mom tomorrow. All we can do is really take a chance and see what happens. smile.png

Aww.. :( Thanks, hey that's where my parents retired to. Near Tagaytay, I think technically in Alfonso, I just remember the casino and Starbucks. Yeah, I feel bad what they have to go through. Wish I could be there with them but I have no one at work to cover me.

How did you know that people were interviewed yesterday? Is that a fact or rumor? Thanks!

  10. Yes hopefully we all can get interviewed tomorrow. Haha...with all these happening they should just forget the interviews for those of us that had to get cancelled twice and just give us the visa for all the hassle they are putting us through going back and forth only to find out it is closed. I would have sent my fiance there yesterday but didnt want to takena chance on him getting sent back. lesson learned: NO MATTER WHAT THEY PUT ON THEIR WEBSITE JUST TAKE A CHANCE EVEN IF IT SAYS THEY ARE CLOSED. Hahahaha.

I agree with the taking a chance. Good luck to you and hoping for the best. I keep checking the website at work like I an some sort of addict or something.

This is nuts, on top of the frustration my mom likes to gamble and keeps going to some place called Manila pavilion. Fiancee keeps telling me she keeps leaving the room to go there and I didn't have a problem with it. I though ####### was a grocery store, now I found out that there is a casino there.

    Bad mother. Haha

My fiancee and mom are having too much fun without me. :( Especially during the floods. I'm getting jealous.

  11. No problem about ranting. Totally feel your pain. Wishing they would somehow be organized or at least have some courtesy to give instructions like they said on the website. I've tried several times calling but the answer I got was check the website ma'am. Seriously? Why pay people to sit around and tell us to check the website which isnt even correct. We are also trying our luck tomorrow also...yes I said that too that the earliest date available is September 10. Hoping for some kind of miracle tomorrow for everyone that is taking a chance on going for the interview. Good luck to all !

Yeah, my fiancee called twice as well and they just repeat their website. Lol, with the ma'am and sir. I remember my trip in the Philippines and I got called sir. Haha

Ugh, hopefully they can be interviewed asap.

  12. I'm looking for an update statement to because of this appointment cancellation. My Fiancee and mom are on standby in a hotel near the Embassy. I thought when my Fiancee called (6am Sunday morning) it was a joke, then I checked the website and sure enough it wasn't. They were getting ready to go to sleep for the big day and then BAM Pork Barrel!

I see an update on the non immigrant page but not the immigrant page. I am almost sure this is treated as an immigrant visa when really it is a non immigrant with intent to immigrate. But as far as I know the IV unit is the one handling K visas.

They are going to take a chance and go at 4am. Hopefully she can have her interview today. I feel bad for my mom commuting from Tagayatay back and forth for medical and interview.

I'm following this site, USEM of manila Facebook, and any other blog site with the Embassy. I checked online out of curiosity what the schedules look like and Sept. 10th is the next available.

My parents who are retired there are booked for Sept 8th to stay with me. I wish she could make it with them so it would be easier on her.

Sorry for the rant. What a stressful situation this journey has been.

  13. I guess they were able to receive my case. Case status was changed this morning. Thanks for the responses. I really have to learn patience.

  14. Thank you very much for the info.

Ok, i guess we'll take a chance. She just lives in Pasay City and works in Ecomm building next to MOA. So it's pretty near. We're in a hurry because my parents are booked to go to the US on Sept 8. They retired in the Philippines and they all want to be together on the same flight. Lol, my mom and fiancee were stranded for 3 days in a hotel across St. Luke's because of the flood.
