  1. This can be your answer, Saylin posted it in the FAQ above:

Help! I can't sign into the payment portal. Why?

If you're getting an error message ("Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time…" or "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted…" or "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."), do NOT panic. This is actually good news! If you just got your case number, then this message means NVC is inputting your case in their system. If you get this message a few days after case number generation, then it's a good possibility that NVC is invoicing your AOS bill. And if this message appears a few days after DS-3032 acceptance, then there's a good chance the IV bill is being invoiced.

thank you very much!!! i read about that but i still confused, thats why i ask.. thank you again

  2. hello saylin! i received an email from nvc saying:

    Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the
    immigrant visa petition: MSCxxxxxxxxx.

The NVC recently received this petition. The appropriate agent
(applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will receive instructions for the
further processing of this petition within 6 to 8 weeks.

    Case Number: MSCxxxxxxxx

    ARI

    National Visa Center
    Written Inquiry Unit
    Serco Inc, Support Contractor

i never thought it will take that long.. so we have to wait for 6-8weeks for our manila case number and invoice identification number?

  3. the nvc stage is very pain in the butt, we still ddnt receive the hard copy of noa2 its been 1month and 1week from the date we got approve, and the nvc asking if we already receive the hard copy of noa2.. the nvc ddnt receive our papers yet.. and we called to uscis asking for our hard copy of noa2 they just said that they approved it and they done with it.. give me a break!!! is that fine if we will just tel the nvc that we received the noa2? so that they will work for our papers?

  4. In my case I email nvc and requst to expedite our case due to humanitarian reason since my wife is in the visayas where typhoon haiyan and earthquake happened.

OH maybe we can expedite too our papers is not yet in nvc but we are approve already and the nvc email us to wait for 8weeks, i live in tacloban city that hit super typhoon haiyan.. and we really dont have a house it scared me too because i dont know where i can get police clearance... so even its not yet in nvc we can expedite it?

Are you in the USCIS stage or the NVC?

    im in nvc stage now..

  5. When your USCIS case status says Post Decision Activity - "On xxx, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this i130…", that means an approval.

Jane - It could take 8 weeks (that's the standard timeframe NVC operators will tell you) before NVC can issue a case number. Most of the times, its less than 8 weeks.

thank you, im just worried because some girls i talk to they said the nvc got there papers in just 1week ours been 4weeks and still the nvc havent receive yet..

  6. Question to you

How do you know you were approved yet without your NOA2 because that is your approval notice.

We were approved by the USCIS Nov.4th and the NVC received our file on Nov.8th and it was entered

in to there system on Nov.26. Im not sure how long the NVC part takes we are just starting it ourselves.

the uscis sent an email saying: *** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

  10. Some info for starters:

I filed for I-130 at the very beginning of December 2012 as a British husband of a U.S. citizen. As of October 27th 2013, I'm still in Initial Review on the USCIS website... My wife called USCIS at the 5 month mark and the 7 month mark and they basically said that they had received the package, there are no updates and we just have to wait. My receipt number begins with MSC, if that has any relevance?

It will be 11 months since filing soon... Now, is this normal? Or just the norm at the moment? If it is neither, is there anything we can do? Anything at all?

We're at the point now of just throwing our hands up in the air and saying 'it comes through when/if it comes through' and we try to steer clear of the subject when we Skype because it upsets us too much...

Thank you for your help in advance.

you are not alone, my husband also filed on december 27, 2012 and we are still initial review!!
