 Just wondering if someone can help me. I was just a bit worried about visiting to Philippines. I've been here in the US for about 5years and we are planning to visit soon. But someone told me that the immigration officers in the airport are very strict and they can hold you or offload. I just dont want to get stuck in the Philippines. Lol. Has someone recently went back to Philippines? How was your trip? Do you have any trouble in the Philippine immigration officer?

Hi i am living in United States for a year and half, and i am a 10years greencard.. I am working and studying here in the Unites States.

I just want to ask advice or some suggestion i really need help, i just want to make my story short my husband is changing, is he can send me back to Philippines? I have 10years greencard.

Does anyone have experience with a CR1/IR1 being expedited thru the NVC and to the USEM?? The NVC has collected all forms, fees and documents from us and is now forwarding everything to the USEM....since its expedited, apparently the USEM will make the appointment for the interview (and no...we cant go online and make an initial appointment like a K1).

Makes questions are:

Has anyone had experience with this?? if so, how far out was the interview appiontment?? did you have to contact the EmbassY???

And...is it safe to send my wife to Manila for her medical, even without an appointment date, we have pre-regristered at SLEC, she has copies of her expediate from the USEM, approved NOA2, paid receipts for all fees and various emails from the NVC with case number, etc.

my papers was expedited from nvc to usem, you should call the usem to get an appointment mine only different situation because all my papers that should be sent to nvc i just gave it on the day of my interview and all the fees what is good is i ddnt pay the immigrant fee already it help alot because its 230dollars.. yes she can get her medical exam in slec even without interview appointment yet as long as she will bring the copy of the nvc sent to you, its better to call usem to get an interview appointment.. thats what i did i called usem for my interview appointment then they sent it to my yahoomail..

The last time I checked visa status it says "ISSUED" its now three days. I just track my passport five minutes ago it says "Your passport is still with post"... What do you mean by that? Does it mean its ready for shipping? I dont understand. Pls help me decipher.

you have to call the embassy manila mine was like that before but after i call the us embassy manila in the afternoon they texted me that they just sent it to 2go then the 2go texted me that my visa is ready to pick up

how would I get to my interview if he forgot about me? it was difficult for him to visit me bcoz of work thats why!

I last saw my fiance April 2012 and filed I-129F petition August 2013, Got approved Nov. 2013 and had my interview Feb. 20,2014. After my interview I was told that I need to submit additional documents. I sent it and received by the embassy March 7, 2014 so then my case status change into READY (case open) but since that day, It didn't update anymore.

My worry is that, the time that me and my fiance did not see each other for almost 2 years might cause my visa to be refused! I would really appreciate some opinions here and insight about my case. Thank you

You do have a green card. The stamped visa in your passport is a green card until the expiration date on the stamp from the POE.

As long as you have your SSN and your endorsed visa which is your temporary green card in your passport, yes you are legally able to work.

Then yes, you can work... The stamp in the passport is authorization...

Are you k3 or CR1. ... If cr1, yes you can work... If k3, no until you file for AOS and receive AP / EAD

Are you a K3 or CR1 entrant. If K3 have you filed AOS yet ?

Technically that should be enough, but you will likely have to explain that the visa in your passport acts as a temporary green card until the physical green card arrives.

i just arrived here in US for 1month and 3days, and i got a job interview asking a proof of my legal right to work here in US, but my green card is not yet arrive.. im still waiting for it, i have ssn and also i just read this in my passport right now that UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR.. so my question is:

can i present my passport and my ssn to my interviewer? is that enough to prove for my legal right to work here?

I wonder what's the update on other 221g cases like Jane21 and Ysiad? I'm k-1 visa and the document needed by embassy was submitted Jan 24, but up to now the status is still admin processing. I'm really wishing we can have an idea when our status will change to issued. My fiancé and I need to be with each other so much.

Unique Identification Number--i am not sure if thats the number you get with your NOA1 or NOA2...right before you got your case number? Or that is the tracking proforma number given to you by the courier to trace your passport? Hehehe we had better check. Lol

But i think to track your visa through 2Go, it works well just supplying your case number or passport number on their tracking facility on their website.

try to call the embassy, i called today to inquire for my friend visa status and they said they got it now and they will give it to american consul to review.. just keep calling because they are busy hehe
