  1. We have the same problem. My wife got her i-485 appointment for AOS and notice of receipt, in which her last name was incorrectly spelled. We called the 1-800 number and they told us they'd change the name. They told us that if the name doesn't get changed within a month (we called on december 30th), then we should set up an infopass apointment ( which we scheduled on Feb 7th because we've gotten no word that they've changed the last name to the correct spelling). We are going to go down there and hopefully get her last name spelled correctly. Her AOS interview is scheduled for March 23, thus it is important we get her name changed. After speaking with the officer on feb 7th, feel free to message me so I can relay some tips. Also, if you have any suggestions for us, please feel free to offer them. Good luck on your journey... this whole AOS process is stressful, but I feel that ultimately... it will be behind us, and we can get on with our normal lives...
