Besides, same as your concerns-my case status never changed from "your fees were waived". I'm wondering after bio-metrics was done, they don't even update it in their system?

Yeah it was kind of worrisome not seeing my status update on their website. Mine also just said "Your fees were waived", but thankfully it sounds like from what people were saying on VJ that it's either a glitch in their system or how it works for now. My status on USCIS' site still remained "Your fees were waived" even after I got the approval letter. It was just yesterday when it finally updated to "Card/Document Production" telling me they mailed out my card!

    Hi! Congratulations!🎊

quick question, what type of mail your approval letter cane? Is it s first class mail with  " DO NOT FORWARD" mark on it?

Im worry about my address change. Thank you

Hi Scazy! I'm sorry I don't recall what the enveloped was marked with. However, I did just receive a notification yesterday that my green card has been mailed to me. I'll let you know what type of mail that was sent with since I'm guessing it's the same as the approval letter. :)

Wow! This definitely breeds some hope! Congrats!🎉🎈🎊🍾 Prolly feels like a huge weight has been lifted!

    What service center?

Thanks! :D Yes, a huge weight and this happened much earlier than I anticipated! I filed with the Vermont Service Center. I didn't go as nuts with evidence as I did with my I-129F or I-485, but I didn't necessarily skimp either and tried not to over think it (but of course was regularly wondering.. did I include enough? lol). Couldn't have made it this far without this amazing site and forum!

Congrats!!!I wish california would work quicker too!))My case was a week later than yours.

Thank you :) Fingers crossed we see both CSC & VSC plow through all December 2016 filers soon. I didn't expect to receive a response so early at all.

  4. I filed my I-751 removal of conditions in Dec 2016 (12/05 to be exact) and today I got the letter in the mail from USCIS that I've been waiting for! My request for removal of conditions has been approved! After my case # showed the fees were waived there was literally zero communication from USCIS until my approval letter arrived today. My new GC should be in hand within 60 days. I'm so excited! :jest:

  5. During a good majority of the AOS filing process I was too stressed to even come to check in on VJ. I got my Notice of Potential Interview Waiver Notice in early June. Kept myself busy, and wasn't going to bother calling them unless I hadn't heard anything by March, since I knew there was a huge backlog. I was delightfully surprised when I checked my case status yesterday on Uscis.gov to find out my AOS application was approved on Jan 17, and today it says my card has been ordered for production. Yay :)

  6. Congratulations! What a long wait you had! It sounds like you avoided having to get a new medical though which is awesome. Enjoy your break from USCIS!

Haha, thanks! It was long but I feel fortunate because it could have been a lot longer.

Interesting about not needing a new medical. I got one through approved doctors at the Montreal Consulate prior to my K-1 approval and moving to the US. All my vaccinations were up to date and I met all the requirements, so maybe that is why? Not sure if being from Canada had anything to do with it.

  7. I got my Notice of Potential Interview Waiver case email last June and heard nothing until January 17, 2015 (last Saturday), when I saw the notice that my AOS application had been approved, no interview required. I should be receiving the approval notice in the mail this week. It was stressful waiting, but I kept myself busy and tried not to think about it too much (easier said than done!).

  8. I received the potential interview waiver case notice early June 2014, and on January 17 2015 my AOS application was approved without an interview. :) I didn't even bother calling USCIS during the process because I figured they'd just tell me it was pending and to just be patient. I should be receiving my approval notice in the mail tomorrow or the day after.

Hang in there! I've heard it can take much longer.

  9. In June 2014 I received a notice saying I was a potential interview waiver case and January 17th 2015 (last Saturday) my AOS application was approved without an interview! During the K-1 and AOS filing process I provided a ridiculous amount of evidence (photographs of the two of us over the course of our entire relationship so far, copies of letters, screenshots of text messages, hotel receipts, travel tickets, pictures of both of us with his family, silly pictures of me with his kids during my visits), whatever I could to show our connection and prove that we had full intent of living together and that I developed close ties with his family too. Obviously there was a bit more than that (his mother was my co-sponsor). I was as transparent as possible and I think it worked in my favour.

  10. So happy for you! Funny enough, I had been waiting to hear from USCIS for my adjustment of status, and I started to worry. Today I filed an e-request to check in about the status of my case, and half an hour after I filled in the request I got a letter in the mail saying my case is a potential interview waiver case (as you said you received), and that it will be probably another 6 months until my AOS is approved (due to some sort of workload unrelated to my case). I am so relieved! Hopefully I also don't have to do the interview. Fingers crossed and congrats again to you!

  11. Woohoo, congrats and good luck, I've been reading this whole book ahead and then get one more reasonably sooner is quite common so I'm keeping my fingers crossed when I do it a few short weeks from now. You're almost over all the hurdles. Doubt forget to do your medical too. I bet the butterflies are scattering now..lol

Thanks so much! I scheduled my medical yesterday morning, for November 12. :) The were very nice. I am so so so anxious about the interview. Thankfully my fiance (the USC) is going to come with. He's never been to Montreal before, so it should be fun.

  12. I had received packet 4 via email, and have been attempting to schedule an appointment on the site, but it just keeps saying appointments aren't available at this time. From what I've read all we can keep doing is refreshing the page. I'll take whatever appointment comes up! Just hoping they make some appointments available soon, because I feel like I am in limbo!

  13. Today we received the hardcopy of our NOA2 in the mail. Only took 4 days :) And on the form it says our file is being forwarded to the consulate listed (assuming it will go through NVC on its way). Is this the consulate I specified on the form? I found out later on that Ottawa (the consulate I specified before I realized Montreal does them) doesn't actually do these sorts of visas, but Montreal does. So I hope they forward it to Montreal and not Ottawa. You'd think they'd know.

This process is so strange and frustrating - they really don't seem to be going in any sort of trackable order. Fingers crossed for all May filers who have yet to receive an RFE or approval <3

  14. Didn't check over the weekend, but looked today on the USCIS site to see this:

On August 11, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

OMG So awesome! smile.png It took us 90 days from the date mailed until approval! Now onto NVC...

90 days from our NOA-1 date, I mean. Wow, that was so fast. Very overwhelmed right now.

  16. hMM, All it told me when I checked was: Your I-129f was approved in 87 days from your NOA1 date.

So how do I make it tell me an actual date like it did for you? Also, do I count as a May or April filer? I want to make sure I am in the right thread!

I am not sure if you count as a May or April filer. I guess it depends on the date USCIS received it? Like Nurseling said, the timeline is only for the approval of the petition, not the visa. It says what it does because you've already received your NOA2. It still is in progress for me - my petition has not yet been approved.

  17. The Montreal consulate (the one I will have my interview at) site also says I-864 for the fiance visa, but I think I read somewhere on VJ that they list all the required documents for spouses and fiances on the same list. I am sure it wouldn't hurt to call and clarify, but unless I receive specific communication from the consulate or NVC to submit the i-864 form, I will submit the i-134 with supporting evidence.

  18. If you go to Immigration Timelines in the top menu, then under Timeline Functions, click View My Timeline (if not, you'll have to start one). And on your timeline page, scroll down past your timeline, and the last item in the table says: Processing Estimates / Stats. :)

How do you get where it says the dates of the timeline estimate? I have a timeline also but never saw the date of when it thinks she'll get her visa, etc.

Also!! Can someone tell me where to go to put my USCIS Receipt # and and back up x # to see how far they are before the NVC gets to mine? I got NOA2 approval on July 29, and the hardcopy 4 days later on 8/2. Do they always go in sequential # regarding the USCIS receipt #'s? I called NVC today and they haven't got my packet yet, and was told that instead of 3 wks (I thought it was 2), now it's 8!! (GASP!)

I got my NOA1 around May 3 I believe so do I count as a May filer too?
