  2. as a 'forum', this is about as close as yer gonna get:

Good Luck, and Go Get Em !

    I sure will! :D thanks a lot

The Portals here simply organize and display all the posts made in any forum section from anyone with the same country flag designated. It is a way to see the info for your country's consulate and the posts made by others from your same country. You cannot actually post in a Portal. You can however post in your country's regional forum > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/100-regional-discussion/

Got it! Indeed the Portals are a well organized way to keep you informed. And what I was looking for was exactly a forum like that, with more specific regional topics. Thanks a lot for the help!!

  3. Thank you guys soo muchh!!! =)

Its definitely a great feeling to get through this part of the process, now its focusing on getting tickets booked once visa is finally delivered and getting through POE with no issues, I've read that people over work themselves about it more than needed so I'm hoping that's the case :)

    GOODLUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!

And just another quick question :P hehe

How long did it take for you guys from your NOA2 approval until the interview? For some people it takes 2 months, for other 3...

    Thanks again :)

  4. My fiance's appointment was on April 16 in Rio and was APPROVEDD!!! =D

Other than that we went paid the shipping fee and now just waiting for the visa to come in the mail. It feels like forever waiting!! and its only been three days loll. Ill post a more detailed experience plus hotel details on the consulate reviews page if anyone wants to know more.

I just wanted to say thank you everyone for the help on my previous posts, I truly appreciate it and I wish all of you the best of luck with your processes :D

CONGRATULATIONS! That's so nice! What a amazing feeling, I'm sure!

And actually, I would love knowing more about details from your travel to Rio...the hotel, other informations from the Consulate, how did the Post worked (how long did the passport take to arrive after the interview?)

Well... any information will be really welcomed! :)

Thanks so much, and Parabéns again!

  5. Hi there!

I'm willing to ask some specific questions for brazilian users and I don't actually know how to do it... Should it be in Brazil's Portal? I'm already following Brazil, but I didn't find a way to create a new topic there... Is there a way to do so, or should I create a general topic?

When people write "You should write in your Country`s Forum", do they mean the Portal?

    Thanks a lot!

  6. Type in your case number into USCIS website to check your status. Then check your number minus 1, then 2 then 3..

It will just tell you if anyone that submitting around you is approved yet.

Wow! That's great! A number under mine got an RFE, and a number upper mine was approved! Hope mine comes soon!

  7. make that 33 approvals for the date of 19 April..it is amazing how fast they are working now.

just a side note, i just checked my group and they got to my NOA1 (I'm still waiting for a decision though, hopefully soon)

Hey there! I'm sorry but I don't know what this "group" is... Could you explain to me? I got really curious, once it helped you foreseeing something! Thanks :)

  8. My husband and I did it everything by ourselves since the very beginning, well without a lawyer. When he proposed to me and we talk with an immigration lawyer, he wanted to charge us $3500 for doing my k1 process, so when we found this amazing website, we knew we could do it. My k1 visa process was totally a sucess (no RFE and only took me 6 month since we filed until the day I moved to the US) so we decided to do the sames with my AoS, no problems at all. If you follow the guides and ask the right questions, lawyers are completely useless

That's great to know!! Congratulations again for the success on the process! :)

  9. Today is a very very special day for me and my husband cause today, a year ago, I was moving to the US with my k1 visa!!! Thank God for all this beautiful and excitment year!!!!! I can't believe it's been a year now! We are already happy for my 1st anniversary here but when I woke up this morning the USCIS sent me an email saying that my Green Card its finally APPROVED!!!!! After 9 month of waiting and NO INTERVIEW needed it!! This is the best present for such a wonderful date! Now we've double celebration. I just want to say thank you for all the vj folks who helped me since the very beginning almost 2 years ago! I know Im not done yet but at least now I can enjoy some "USCIS free" vacations! I just want to share it with you guys!! God bless u all

CONGRATULATIONS!! That's great! Happy Anniversary in double! :D

Btw, did you had the help of a lawyer or did you do all by yourself?

  10. Sept 6 filer here... we just got our NOA2 today. I did contact my senator (Feinstein), but only got a form letter back from her saying her office could not help us because they only expedite for "emergency purposes" (which, by the way, I had not even asked for expedition, just for her to make a call and get some fairness down at CSC). So, no thanks to my legislator... but big thanks to all of those Sept filers et al who were able to spur their legislators to call CSC and light a fire under their butts.

    Cheers,

    -josh

    That's great!! Congrats! Parabéns! :)
