Thanks for all the support fellow APril filers I was given a 10 year GC, probably because its been more thn 2 years since we file AOS. REceived the card Sep 2, 2016 with no interview.

Based of Harlingen's last update they should technically reach April cases end of September or start of October so it currently looks like I have another 4-8weeks before I hear anything... With any luck they work extra hard or have very little applications at that office and can squeeze my file in the next week or 2... I have a sneaky feeling I will hear something around my birthday which is start of October

Already saddened I won't make my sister wedding so next on the agenda is go home for Christmas so Aslong as I get an approval by end of November I'll be fairly happy... I will be rather frustrated if 2017 rolls round and I'm still at fingerprint fee recieved

@mama&papa do you know the location of where your case was at? Even tho my status states it's at NBC it's actually at a local office

Yes in Rhode Island. I submit my rfe in Rhode island uscis. They received it 08/ 24 and today 08/26 card is being produced. Your time will come very very soon

Went to the local USCIS office today, I have to send back my GC since they made an error (they made the card valid for 10 years instead of 2 years). About to fill out the I-90 form so we can get this taken care of. Apparently it might take up to 9-12 months before I receive my corrected GC. Sigh! So still not done with the paperwork and the immigration process. Booo! I just want to relax until May 2018 when I have to go through all of this again lol

And we only filed 5 days apart!! Atleast there someone else still in the same boat as me... I think the rest have already got approved or status changed ready for interview

My lawyer advised since we live at my in laws when we submitted our documents we had a written statement from them stated we live in there house that we don't pay rent but we do the upkeep of the house and grocerys... He said that should be sufficient enough for proof you love together so maybe you could do that and get your in laws to sign it

SAD!..... Today I received rfe on my i-485 stating that because we filed after 3 years of marriage uscis need additional evidence of our marriage like joint bills and accounts which we do not have because we stay with my in-laws so electric bills, gas and home phone all named after our in laws of course. Cannot get bank account because need ssn which I do not have yet ( It was too late back then to get my ssn we didn't know we can if i-94 isn't expired) cant put me on his insurance also because it needs ssn.. Guys help us what we need to do.. Thanks once again for all your help

BTW, th reason we were late is bacause when I arrive here back in july2013.. We got married September then, a week after that we were gathering all papers for our aos then something happened, my husband got laid off so it was postponed, right after when he was about to get a job in February 2014 he had an accident playing basketball. His achilles broke, which made him unable to walk for more than a year. So all the more it was postponed just had his job on March 2015, and at that time we were saving for my aos little amount until we made the $1070 because we still have to pay other bills. Our bills got piled up specially in hospitals over that 1 year of being not able to walk. Hedid not get Medicaid fearful that if he does it will affect on my aos application letter. we didn't know.. But anyway that was all history now. We need your help guys. anyone have same experience as ours or know about it?

Very exciting week for us, after seeing our EAD status changed to "A New Card is Being Produced", the unexpected thing happened.... as our I-485 status also changed to "A New Card is Being Produced"!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I had the overwhelming joy to find in my mailbox BOTH EAD Combo Card and Green Card !!!!!!!!!!

Don't really understand why they would still send the Combo Card since the GC was also on its way....

When I went to the SSA to get my SS card, I asked them if there was any way that I could get the number before the actual card (I needed to open a bank account and BofA wouldn't take me without a SSN) They gave me their phone number and asked me to call the day after to see if a number was assigned to me, they told me, though, that they were not going to be able to give me my number over the phone so if I wanted it I had to go to the SSA again.

The next day I called and they had my number on record. I went to the office and they gave it to me. The card arrived 5 days later by mail.

Just ask I wasn't asked any questions on why I needed my number before the card.

Follow up @shrb when you go to ssa office to get the print out did you have to get a waiting number again..

I got my SSN way before EAD. You could've applied sooner. I takes around a week to get your card. Not sure if you can get the number, you'll have to ask in the office.

Yes I could have done this before my i-94 expired if I have only known

You won't be able to get a number right on the spot. You should go to the ss office, apply for your ssn and ask there if there's any way you could get the number before the actual card or if there's something else to do to expedite it because you have the job offer.

Hello, Quick question please needed!!! I just got hired on a job and now the paper works begin I have my EAD but I didnt have ssn yet rather I did not apply yet. I will go on Monday to apply for SSN. IS there a way where I can get a SSNumber even without the card. I read somewhere that you can print the SSN number?? If anyone knows about this please tell me how. I really need t get this ASAP. If he applied for a social security number. He can actually go back and get a print out of his number before the SSN card arrives. I did so to renew my license.

How do you do that? Do i have to go to the counter and ask the incharge to print it for me?

Got RFE on my EAD. I don't know what it is yet. Have to wait for the letter

She told me several times the same things that being 30-45 days

I was like: but i'm already past those days

she was like: I can't check it

I told her: that's funny cause the previous officer told me that I was on the day 36 after filing and you say you can't see that information

she apologized like a thousand times. I asked her WHEN I SHOULD CALL TO PUT AN INQUIRY ABOUT my case status online exactly?

then she said you should give it some time and the local offices process the cases in order they receive them and it usually takes around 6 months so give it some time okay?

i was pissed and said "thank you bye"

I think those call center agents on USCIS are just looking info on the website. Because until now my case still unrecognizable on the website so every now and then i call to check and they say same thing like,, Ma'am the case number you asked is still validation error, which is exactly what it say on the website when I check.. So no use calling really

May 10 was my biometric, then had to retake biometric due to the fbi cannot read my finger prints, so i did retake it June 7. I called earlier today and the person i spoke to said they cannot locate the case number i gave, WTFILE?!#@. He transferred me to an officer, the officer said since we cannot find it on file it means its on process. Wow! It is really not helping at all! Btw case still unrecognizable online every time I check.

I am continuing to have issues looking up on the USCIS.GOV website my stepson's case status. His Case number begins MSC16909XXXXX.

In trying other numbers that begin MSC16909 I get errors

Are any of you experiencing the same issue?

Why dont you just get a co-sponsor? That is much easier than providing them other proof
