  1. Thanks Darnell, that looks like a good plan. We actually received a response from the last email we sent to the IV unit but they only said they "would" accept multiple police records, nothing specific to our case. We'll start messaging them again on Monday specifically requesting a consul review like you said.

    sometimes this works:

fire off another email to the IV unit via the webform thingie -

in the top line put "Consul Review Requested"

    then write:

We have sent all of the police certificates that were asked. I feel that the PRC staff have missed the 2nd and subsequent police certificates, and the Vice-Consul not review the casefile. I ask that the Vice-Consul assigned to review the casefile actually review the multiple police certificates, noting MOVEMENT OF HUKUO .

    then at the bottom, write:

    "Consul Review Requested"

    =-=-=-=-=--=-=-=

Why do it like this, why do it again? PRC staffers handle this paperwork flow, not the Vice-Consuls, up and until the casefile is considered complete by the PRC folk, then the Vice-Consuls review it. IMO a Vice-Consul not get to it, yet and yer being punished.

Send this out 2 times a day, for 5 days, whilst the IV Unit is open. then stop. wait a week, and if no movement, get the Immigration Liason Staffer human with yer congressman's office engaged.

  2. Hey everyone,

My wife's case has been under AP due to CCP membership since her interview in August. A week and a half ago, we received the email asking for her passport, photos, medical record, and police record. She went to Guangzhou to redo the medical exam, and she went to the city her hukou is in to obtain the police record. This went just fine back in 2013 before her interview, but now they absolutely refuse to print a police record accounting for her entire residency in China, and the police record they gave her only covers the time since her hukou was moved there in 2011. We figured this would be OK if we sent another notarized copy of her certificate from 2013, as the dates overlap and show without a doubt (to any person with at least a single brain cell) her entire criminal record throughout her life. However, yesterday we received another request for documents, and the medical record was updated to have an expiration date in October, but they still say the police record is expired. Is there anything at all we can do or are we just screwed? We've tried contacting the PSB in her hukou city multiple times, and no matter what they refuse to provide the correct document. Her former residences are unable to provide the documents since her hukou is no longer there. We've tried sending inquiries to the consulate, but they stopped responding to our inquiries several months ago for whatever reason. We've tried sending inquiries through ustraveldocs, but they just respond that the consulate will contact us if they need any more documents (despite us telling them clearly we HAD been contacted again already). It's starting to look and feel hopeless and we both feel we've done all we can do.

    Thanks.

  3. I seriously hope we don't have to deal with this ####### as CR1 applicants. I've asked numerous NVC representatives and they've told us the consulate will schedule our appointment for us, but I think they don't even have any awareness of the existence of CGI Stanley. My wife's called CGI Stanley and they told her they don't handle immigrant visas, which goes against a lot of things I have read. If we can't even manage to get an August appointment after having case complete in the middle of May AND a granted expedite request, we're going to have a real problem here. If this is the way things are, then they really need to go back to having the consulate schedule all of the appointments.

  4. So, you're equating the consensual love between two human beings with the non-consensual love between one human and one animal?

If you don't like or agree with gay marriage, don't have one. I'm in a heterosexual marriage and I honestly couldn't care less whether two people in a marriage are of the same gender or different genders, it shouldn't be up to any person or government to label one form of love as being right and all others wrong, especially in a "free" country. I am happy for all of the couples who are one step closer to having rights they never should have really been denied.

  5. Our case is complete, and when we call NVC, they tell us they are waiting on the Guangzhou consulate to schedule us for an interview? So what happens when we contact the Guangzhou consulate?

    Thank you for your inquiry.

The Consulate has no record of the case you inquired about. Your case may still under processing at the National Visa Center in the United States. Should you have any questions, please contact the NVC. You can find the NVC contact information at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html. Please note that your interview will be scheduled by the NVC as you have seleted eletronic processing at the NVC.

    Sincerely,

    Immigrant Visa Unit
    U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou

    PRC

They tell us since our case is electronic, the NVC schedules the case. Someone is lying here...

I really don't know what is going on here. We called and asked when our case's final review was completed, and they told us May 15. Yet we did not receive the case complete email until May 22, and it seems usually the email comes before the final review. correct? We've now been waiting over a week since the case complete email and over 2 weeks since (apparently) the final review was completed, and no one has any idea where our case is?

  6. Hello all,

I sent our AOS packet off about two weeks ago, but we have not sent our IV packet in yet as my wife is still waiting on her birth certificate. Today I received a checklist, and I am almost sure it's a false one, I just want to confirm that.

For electronic processing, all forms and documents that we request and require from you should be

scanned and e-mailed to NVC as Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files. The documents should

be sent as attachments with your e-mail response and not in a web file. NVC is unable to process

documents submitted in web files. Forms and documents should not be mailed through the postal

service. The applicant must present all original forms and documents to the Consular officer at the visa

interview. Failure to present the required originals at the visa interview will result in a denial or delay in

obtaining a visa for the sponsored applicant. Any questions regarding your petition should continue to be

    directed to NVCElectronic@state.gov.

    ______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center is waiting for an Immigrant Visa Application to be submitted for this case.

The Principal Applicant and any other Applicants who will be accompanying him or her to the United

States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application; please visit the following

    website for instructions:

Also, does this imply that the AOS was approved?

  7. Our GUZ number has now become a GZO number, so our case is now being processed electronically. We sent the DS-3032 form in with the OPTIN email and the EP confirmation email also confirms they received the DS-3032. When should we expect the IV invoice to become available? You'd think they would want to get their money as soon as possible...

Oh well, at least things are moving... unlike the USCIS stage.

  8. Woohoo, grats! kicking.gif Did you get the IIN? Did you give over both email addresses?

Thanks for your concern! Yes, I called back the same night to get the IIN and gave them our email addresses, which it seems they already had and just needed to confirm.

Is it best to email our DS-3032 now or wait until we receive the email from NVC?

EDIT: And wouldn't you know, like 2 minutes after I posted this, I got an email from the NVC!

  9. Just called . They told me everything has been accepted , except the marriage certificate . They said they want a original certificate. I asked didn't the instruction said certified copy is also ok? The lady asked whether it is in Chinese?! And certified by issurance authority?! I told her yes and it is in both Chinese and English And it is with invisible seal! She said she will request to check again. Call back again in 15 days

Sigh .. I really don't know what they want . My husband is going through a tough time now. I already felt terrible that I can't be there by his side physically ! Why this process is taking so ridiculously long ! How much longer they are going to keep us apart !

Were you married in Hong Kong?

  10. Supporting the right of a people to have their own nation is not "anti" the nation that oppresses their rights. Israel needs America as an ally for protection, as they have no natural allies in the region. But I don't think we should blindly accept the things Israel is doing to the Palestinians. They deserve their own nation just as much as the Israelis do. We can't say we support freedom and democracy and then turn around and support a country that is working to deny a people their self-determination rights. Israel is violating international laws to try to expand their territorial claims... if you look at maps since the state was founded, you will see that they have grabbed more and more Palestinian land. We should not be "anti" anyone, we should be pro-Israel AND pro-Palestine if we truly support freedom and democracy. I for one applaud the President for viewing the situation from both sides and wanting a peaceful and fair solution.
