The Senator's office called me back last Friday to tell me the NVC gave them the same message that they gave to us, and they would put in some sort of request for information on the interviews... unfortunately I haven't heard back yet (probably because the NVC hasn't answered them I would guess)... I may call them tomorrow just to check.

Well, we finally got an email today telling us we were eligible to schedule an interview and got one on August 12. I saw an option for emergency appointments on the site and submitted a copy of my doctor's note for my upcoming surgery and marriage certificate in hopes of possibly getting an earlier date. Interestingly, that option no longer appears for the website for me after I submitted the request.

We still can't access the scheduling system, because our case is still "In Transit." Do you know any direct way to get in contact with the consulate or ustraveldocs? I tried calling a number my wife had, but they only answer nonimmigrant inquiries. My wife tried calling ustraveldocs, and they told her the same pretty much. I've left an email through the online system at the consulate's site, but I would prefer direct contact when possible.

I have checked the CEAC Tracker and it says our file is "In Transit." I guess this is because it was sent while the consulate was closed and they have to put something into the system to confirm they received it? My wife already made an account with ustraveldocs before, I'll ask her to check the account and see if there's any sort of activity associated with it, in addition to looking out for it on Monday morning her time.

Our case is EP, I'm not sure about the typical procedures but I guess everything is as it is supposed to be. I called NVC earlier and they told me our expedited processing request had been approved and our case was with Guangzhou. The NVC representative said Guangzhou would contact us with our interview information. Unfortunately, that was after 8 PM, so I couldn't call US Travel Docs (consulate's site doesn't give a consulate number to call for visa inquiries that I can see)...

I've called the Senator's office, but my caseworker did not answer her phone and I left a message.
I've talked to supervisors several times and gotten the same "wait for August scheduling to begin" talk. And I have asked why it wasn't scheduled in early June for a July interview, but all they tell me is that they "have a lot of cases" and a lot of people are applying for travel visas during the summer months. I wasn't aware IV and non-IV departme...

Darnell, we've received absolutely no updates from NVC or the consulate. Our case's final review has been complete for over a month now, and every time we call and speak with a supervisor, they tell us the same things over and over: July appointments were set at the beginning of June, there are less interview spots in summer months due to tourist visas, etc... Last week I contacted one of my Senators and her office is currently putting in an inquiry for us... I doubt it will do much g...
