you can do it
notarization not needed
attesting it is an accurate translation is all that is necessary
-
usc needs proof of citizenship
us passport copy of the bio data page will suffice although I included the bc also

I don't belive for a second that this will be the case.
Of course, this is subject to change and I believe it will. I have a strong sense
that once Overland Pk. is fully functional, they will start getting these done
at such a fast pace!! They just might be working on these now. You never know,
with in the next week or 2 we just might start seeing rapid movement in this area.
May filers, I know it sucks and it is discouraging, but I believe soon and very soon
us May filers are gonna be in the 'spotlight!'
totally agree with you.. but it might be more like 4-6 weeks until we see a large amount of approvals.
may filers are probably in the sweet spot

if your fiancée has funds that are convertible to US$'s, his money can be used in support of your 134
not sure how to fill out the 134 for this.. other members had a situation like that and were told they have to present the beneficiary's assets at the interview

Well, weed is used for recreational purposes use in Colorado and Washington State legally now. I do not understand what weed has to do with visa. You should ask if there is more resons than that.
uhhmm because it a schedule 1 drug
do your research
it is not a legal drug on a federal level
your petition is filed with the feds, not the state
He is not applying to immigrate to Colorado.

So it would be perfectly fine to not include affidavits?
yes
-
yes this is true
it is often discussed in the PI forum.. BUT .. a vj member just got approved with a cosponsor yesterday I think it was
-
I have called tier 2 rep twice and they both told me to wait till end of nov/ early dec. I don't know what to believe anymore. I am a march filer.
yes, processing times are averaging 9 months now per uscis

Why did it take them so long to get to your request? WTH ????
exactly.. same thing happened to me.. told me I had to wait four weeks

break out a big hammer is all I can say
-
Also they want it with black ink.
nvc wants black ink, uscis doesn't care

Just what I didn't want to hear...thanks for the reply though! Lets hope the German mailing system works a bit faster for me!
it has got to work better than Fiji

all forms must have an original signature

I am wondering if it is possible to have my stepfather as a joint sponsor

I know one thing. I am not going to wait 30 minutes to talk to some call center agent to state " we don't have that case number on file, wait 8 weeks".
Waste of 30 minutes this morning. I will e-mail them.
Unlike some, I am in no mad rush for them to receive it. I am still studying in America, and the longer this sprawls out, the longer I can stay here

Best of luck to you all. Try emailing, certainly less hassle than waiting 30 minutes for a 20 second call.
call dos.. short to no wait time
Thanks for responses. I think it is weird. Noa2 vaildity is 4 monts. If we wait for nvc more than two monts as some fillers it just doesnt have sense cause we know that appointment for interview also takes a month in some countries. Plus the time papers get to the embassy. It is really tense deadline!
the expiration means nothing
it is automatically extended by both nvc and the embassy
if it gets to the embassy and there is no contact with them for 4 months.. that might be a different conversation
-
the next step is to reread the guides!
you will wait up to 8 weeks to get your case number from nvc
start calling in 2-3 weeks, but expect the 8 week scripted response
-
yyyyyaaaaaaaaaay
the dc office approved one file !!!
congrats.. I have seen you lurking for a while.. long overdue
-
Too far away!
oooo okay
I guess I will have to get my own fangla metalna -
Hi stevie b
What about us poor April filers

Will our cases remain at NBC and not get transferred to the new facility in October?
I am not in charge of the system and am only making an educated guess based on what happened previously with load shifts earlier this year and late 2012.
I think the april filers are already at the new facility based on some of the movement that is taking place

i hope what you say is right.. this is really taking so long.
but what is the IO ?
can i schedule infopass to my local field office ? i tried to schedule one but all kind of infopass requested requires some paper works that i dont have!
what information are you trying to get at the local office?
case status? that is available with an IO at the call center

Thanks for the hope Stevie B.
2.) Processing times for I-130 (CR-1) Applications and Petitions, is 6-8 months at the NBC. But they are slowly starting to get through them quicker, and quicker.
3.) As of now, if your wife is outside the U.S., and if you submitted sometime in March, your application should be processed in this next month or so. For me it was May, and she said since my wife is not adjusting status, or in the U.S., it looks like around November, early December by her computer.
4.) When questioned about getting transferred to a field office... She said that she wasn't sure who relayed the information, it's not correct, but if your wife/husband is outside the U.S., it's staying right at the NBC, and getting processed there, but should go quicker once it's at that point.
Was given a processing time of around November - December... Then, it's off to the NVC stage if accepted, which seems like everything is in order anyways.

this is why we call uscis the misinformation line
this is a woman sitting in front of a computer who has NO idea where your file is in terms of how many people are in front of you.
her information on an approval timeline is nothing more than an opinion that she has NO knowledge of.
why you ask??? easy.. they make stupid opinionated mistakes all the time
per uscis in august of 2012.. stand alone 130's go to nbc and then routed to the local office. it was a freakin uscis news release! many members here know about this and know where their file is and the date it was transferred.
if you filed in may .. you are probably at division 8 and will see some quick movement soon.
if you want accurate answers from uscis, you have to call 5 times and get the same answer twice. and then you still have an element of doubt
