My goodness, approvals are being spit out at CSC... dare I be hopeful?!
oh csc, why do you build me up? buttercup baby just to let me down..
-
I put no blame on the ones who received the NOA2. My frustration and anger is all channeled to the USCIS. Anyways, anyone check igors list lately? Do you like how the DEC bar is higher than the AUG bar? Personally, I find it hilarious!

I had asked the congressman's staff person if he could expedite our petition. Here is what he responded: <<We have had some success in expediting various applications and petitions in the past. In order to agree to such requests, however, USCIS typically requires proof of significant humanitarian factors – factors that set cases apart from the hundreds or thousands of similarly-situated applicants or petitioners currently before the agency. Examples of factors that we have cited in the past include serious medical conditions, the potential loss of employment or housing, an inability to provide care for dependent children, etc. Please let me know if you believe that the factors in your case rise to that level. If so, we will need to gather evidence to support the claim, and I will then draft a request on the part of the congressman on your behalf.>>
What about mental health? Any longer and i'll be prescribed psychological medication!

Emailed Congressmen Scott - no response
Emailed Senator Barbara Boxer - Asked for a copy of the privacy form. Sent. 2 weeks called to follow up, gave me JULY 18 BS. Said to call back in a month. BULLLLLLLSHHHHHHH.
No help for me. Yay

Hi Oregon, guess i'll be joining this pity party. What pisses me off is that they try to explain it's first come first serve, an obvious LIE. Not everyone had an expedited request. How do I get one anyway? Expedite my petition or else i'll be on psychological drugs soon!!!
-
Hi everyone, was wondering what "expedited request" means and how we August filers can file one? I contacted my senator, that did absolutely nothing, anyone living in San Diego California who knows who would be able to help me?
-
I hope that they will get back to you soon. From my experience, both of my senators and congressman got back to me eventually. The senators were both faster then the congressman, but I was glad for the response. Now with that being said, one of my senators sent an expedite request to the USCIS this morning. By the afternoon (of the same day) my senator's office mailed me back saying that my visa has been approved. I was in complete disbelief at the speed of their decision. I just checked my status on the the USCIS website. This is what it said:
Post Decision Activity
On April 15, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283. For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.
I won't update my timeline until I have the noticed they mailed to me in my hand. So, all I can say is don't stop calling (and I know you won't). Eventually your senator or congressman might ask you to file an expedite request. Just be prepared to state your case well to them. Good luck to you, and my prayers are with all of you who are going through this prolonged process.
Congrats to you. My senator said there's nothing she can do. I wish I had your senator look into my case instead. So happy for you and your lover!!!!
-
Yay!!!!!!!!! Congrats you two! I hope for a beautiful wedding and a blessed life ahead!

By the way friends, please don't forget to sign the petition and have all friends and family sign, too! We talk about the wait being unbearable, time to put our words into action! https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/expedite-processing-i129f-petitions-meet-current-government-processing-goals-5-months/rp6yP4Jw

Inviting everyone to blow a cake on the 27th for my 8 month filing day. 4 months it will be a year, what are the chances of getting him here before a year of filing the i129f? Wanted him here for my birthday in July but that's definitely wishful thinking.
-
Oh, how wonderful. More December and November filers approved. Um. So are you telling me all of these approvals have expedited requests?

I've written my two Senators. I heard my email is sitting at the first Senator's office that I wrote to, but no email or call back yet, over 3 weeks. I'm sorry for your frustration, hurt, and anger. Many of us are experiencing similar frustrations and there is no logical explanation, which adds to the frustration. Add these stressors to our individual challenges in life and it can be a bit overwhelming. Everyday, when I talk with my fiance, I am grateful that we can communicate, Skype and Line are wonderful internet tools to stay in touch.
In June 2011, I was in a shoreline fishing tournament and got swept off the cliffs here in Hawaii by a big wave. There was no where to climb back up. I was exhausted and drowning. Four of my friends, tied a rope that I had brought, to a lifeguard float, also which I had brought, threw it out to me, and after about another 10 minutes or so of bobbing up and down in the rough surf and becoming totally exhausted, they pulled me up a 20 foot cliff! Life changed that day! My perpective on life changed. As I face challenges, it's still stressful, but I am grateful to be alive to experience them. A month after my accident, I met my fiance and although this visa process has been challenging, having her in my life has been such a blessing. She is thousands of miles away, but each morning when I get up, I am grateful to have that relationship and know that this separation is only temporary.
As my fiance and I face these challenges together, we try our best to stay positive and to allow ourselves to grow as individuals as well as a couple. It's not easy, but it's much healthier than wallowing in grief and sadness. The whole purpose of the K1 is to pursue my life's happiness. The Japanese have a word "Gambatte" which means, "do your best" and "never give up". Gambatte my K1 friends, Gambatte! Aloha!
Thank you for sharing that, my friend. Gambatte, and I'm happy you're still here with us.

Thank you for all the responses. Today is our anniversary. And our preferred date for our wedding (we wrote on the application). My friend also got in an accident and died by a drunk driver. If anything were to happen to my fiancé while we're apart I wouldn't know what to do. All I ask is for a explanation, a valid and reliable time frame for waiting. That's all, don't we deserve that? As US citizens and filing legally? Paying the fees?

I'm an August 27 filer. I emailed Senator Barbara Boxer and got a reply telling me to send a signature with permission to inquire on my behalf. Sent it over a week ago and didn't get a response so I called them today. Just got off the phone with the case worker. She said there's nothing she can do, and they've had a lot of requests from july and august filers but it's within normal processing time so nothing can be done. I said it isn't fair that some people who applied after me are getting approved and she said they may have gotten it expedited, because it's first come first serve. She mentioned they had a meeting yesterday and talked about the CSC flooding and that they had a high number of applicants in july-august. As she talked and sounded like a broken record from what i've been hearing from USCIS themselves I couldn't help but cry. I said goodbye crying, not only saying goodbye to her, but also goodbye to my last piece of effort and last resort and hope. I guess the saying "you get what you work for and put effort in" doesn't apply to everything, eh? And the definition of first come, first serve is now extremely confusing to me.
I have nothing else that I can do. I've done everything I possibly can.
-
Yeah, I hate that guy too.
Hi Bayareaguy,
Did you get anywhere with contacting a senator/congressmen? I vaguely remember you posting about it in a different topic, or maybe earlier on this topic. I sent my signature for permission to inquire on my case to Senator Barbara Boxer but I haven't heard anything yet it's almost been two weeks.. I hope you're getting better luck than I am, given you're an earlier filer than me.
-
I don't know who or where else to vent but here. We're all august siblings so I know we're feeling the same way. The 27th will be my 8 month, I've done everything in my power to push my file to a desk. Wait, let me rephrase that, to push my file onto a desk with someone there.. working.. preferably a USCIS worker not a plumber.. But if the plumber can approve my documents, then i'm all for it. My fiance and I (and i'm sure all of us without the NOA2) just want a timeline to go by, a reliable one. I know they have a lot of documents to go through, but is it too much to ask to shed some light on us? I just want to know how long i'll be waiting.. because every single day feels like forever. I'm embarrassed to say this because I know someone's going to tell me to keep myself busy and etc.. but I've made it a routine to check visajourney and my ins case status every 5 hours. Seriously, sometimes more. I do keep myself busy, I do work on my relationship, and I do work on the next steps of our life in America. (that's for the butt hole that's going to say something negative.) Every minute that passes gives me hope that if I check again, this time, it just might be there. My heart is aching I don't know what to do, when I cry I can literally feel myself break. I'm so sorry for venting, there's just no one else I can talk to who understands. :crying:
-
ahhh, soooo excited for you!!!! Please update us!
-
It's considered a lot at the rate that CSC is processing
-
No.. I call my friend working inside immgration and said all july and aug filer more likely 2 or 3months more as of today .,,,9 months here and still waiting..
What do you mean? We won't be seeing July or August approvals for another 2-3 months? Please.. tell me i'm wrong..
-
I'm an august 27 filer. I contacted a congressmen and two senators. Only one got back to me. Senator Barbara Boxer. She asked me to send a signature giving her permission to inquiry on my behalf, it's been almost two weeks and I haven't gotten a reply back. I hope you have better luck that me. And pertaining to your comment about july to october filers falling into the "black hole" (as they call it in other topics) at CSC, a lot of people are saying it's to get their average looking better. Basically, to the government we're just numbers and dollar signs, not people who obsessively check for an approval, read endless forum discussions, and contact all the representatives they possibly can to look into their case. No, never that. We have no hearts, therefore we can't be broken. We're just documents, numbers, dollar signs. Sorry for venting, I just can't believe this whole week has been approvals of people ahead of me. When i've been doing everything I can to even just find out information about my case.
-
Agreed, I don't care what the reason is, the delays are unacceptable. Late July filers are looking at close to nine months now. I'm complaining because they will never get to mine if they don't get through July first.
Sad part is, when they get to someone after you. Two people after you. Three. Four. Five. and so on. The system is a wreck. It has no organization and their priorities aren't in place. I couldn't be happier for those who were approved, but I blame USCIS for the unfair treatment. Oh, and what happened to Obama's speech about Legal immigration being priority? Seems like it would have been better for my fiance to have swam here a couple years ago instead of paying fees and filing documents.
-
It's almost been two weeks and I haven't heard back from the Senator. I called last week to see if they received my letter, and the lady on the phone said she did and they would contact me when they looked into it. I'm going to try calling tomorrow and following up, but i'm honestly losing hope. I got an email back from my service request stating I'm still in the normal processing time. No, i'm not, when I applied and decided to go through with fiance visa instead of getting married and doing spouse the processing time was FIVE MONTHS and when I paid the fee I was expecting a decision in FIVE MONTHS, Obama said legal immigration would be priority, damn what a joke.
-
I should've applied in November. Why why why? This isn't fair. I am so happy for them, but I pity my fiancé and I. Feeling out our future in the dark is unbearable.
-
