So due to getting China Police Clearance, I've been google-ing and this website came across on the first list.http://www.visainchina.com/nocriminal.htm Does anyone had experience getting supporting documents from this website/agent before? Especially those who used to live or work in China? Does this legit??

I called China embassy and they said that they can't make Police clearance for me. That I have to go to China to obtain this.

That website is for people who wish to obtain visas for China, they will not help you obtain a police clearance.

Visit the Chinese Embassy in Jakarta to see if they can assist you. If you live closer to Surabaya or Medan, you can go to the Chinese Consulate in those cities to see if they can assist you.

I also worked abroad for about a year, and i have to get police record from that country. I just started requesting for it a few days ago, they said it will take 4 weeks so hopefully i'll get them on time so we will not delay the process. Fingers crossed.

And oh, another prob, i need to have it translated to english :/

4 weeks is way too long. Same here .... it will take about 20-30 business day . I suppose to leave next month but I guess not. . Also .. its Christmas break!! Then New Year!! Not a right time to get documents

Sorry to repeat this question but does anyone know the requirement regarding police certificates? Are they needed if an applicant lived in a foreign country for 6 months and over or 12 months and over?

The Department of State website says 12 months. The NVC rep is telling me 6 months. Should I call again? Send an email quoting the information on the DOS site?

Wait are u dealing with this issue now? Because I do. Another road bump! Ugh!! I worked in China for over a year. And my company didn't want to help with supporting documents to obtain China Police Clearance. I haven't called Chinese Embassy in my country because it's Saturday here. I'm worry what if I can't get one .

So apparently, my lawyer wanted me to submit my Police Record from China (I worked there for over a year). Is this necessary though? And how to get this?? What if I can't get Police Clearance (No Criminal Record)? I left China years ago and now I am living in Indonesia. Does any of you have the same issue??

three options, IMO.

1. contact the China Embassy, ask for them to get one for you. once they have it, they can send it to you.

2. contact the China Embassy, ask them to get one for you. They send you a letter stating it is unavailable. Send that letter the NVC.

3. you were in China because of some company or educational institution. The HR person there can obtain one for you - expect to pay some monies for this - so contact that HR person and inquire about it. It will be 'out of their nomal sphere' of things to do, but if it's obtainable by them, they can get it , send it on to you, for some handling charge.

You're not going to get anything from NVC saying they received your petition. You need to call to find this out.

Does anybody hear anything from NVC recently? My petition got approved in Nov 25, 2013. And until this second, we haven't received a letter from NVC that they accepted my petition.

I just got approved on November 25, 2013. And havent receved NOA2 or from NVC (that they receive my case) in the mail yet.

How long does it take for NVC to work on the case??

Congrats, you gave hope to the TSC transfers.

Trust me, waiting from USCIS was like standing on the edge of a cliff. I couldn't fall asleep because I kept thinking about when it gets approved. But now ... I'm happy after they approved my petition. Finally TSC woke up lol.

Hopefully more and more transfers from TSC!

I was going to change it but I guess what appears on Timeline must be the original case from. Because I got my NOA1 from Vermont. Then on November 8th, 2013, it was transferred to Texas Service Centers. Then it got approved. So ....

I just checked USCIS and I GOT APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally TSC approved my case work!! Yay. Can't wait to be with my husband again!!

hey!!! I don't think i'm an april filer, because our PD was march 27, 2013 it's just that we received our NOA1 a bit late. But thank you so much!!! Hubby requested for an expedite maybe 2 days ago but I doubt it's because of that because we never received an email that our expedite request was approved or something but will double check it with USCIS.

My PD was march 25, 2013 .... But we are still waiting for NOA2. So congratulations. Hopefully I will get approval soon.
