Well Indonesian is an easy language .. We use ABCs ... We don't have irregular verbs or regular verbs .. We don't have many kinds of grammar hahaha.

By the way...the US embassy would (in your case) know that you were visiting China based on your passport. However, unless it was for 1 year it is not necessary to list it.

The problem is .. I worked there for a year and couple more months. So they really need this.

Also I was thinking to sent it to NVC and wait until the interviewed. But I'm just afraid they will reject it and I had to process the new clearance (the correct one) and wait another 3 to 6 months for the whole process. That will be a pain in the A.

Where is this Mexican Citizen lives now? Is this person in Mexico or in other country (and has lived there for more than 6 months)?

Dude make sure it covers your whole stay in China. I had such problem when I went for my interview, NVC might say fine, but when you get to the embassy they will thick it that it doesn't meet the requirement. So make sure it covers all lapses.

Is there anyone getting the dates wrong on No Criminal Record certificate and sent it to the NVC? Any issue or what?

I authorized someone to apply China No Criminal Record on my behalf. I just got the copy of it to my email. But the dates they wrote are wrong. Not a whole lot different. I left China on December 15, 2008 but they wrote September 13, 2008.
I know this sound stupid .. I wasn't there to process this myself. So should I still make a change in that or just sent it to NVC?

What news of a face to face meeting with a Consular Official at the China Embassy in Jakarta ? I say start there.

I called China Embassy in Jakarta and China Consulate in Surabaya, they both said that they can not make China Police Clearance. They only can notarize it. They ask me to go to Tianjin (that's where I used to work), to get China Police Clearance. The problem is, my last employer didn't want to give me a reference letter. However, I only have passport and Chinese visas to prove that I was there. Right now, I am still looking for someone or an agent who can help me with this because I can't go to China for now. And one more thing, I can't speak Chinese well, and what should I say to the PSB people for Police Clearance haha?!?!

Yes, again I repeat: it's either the most recent year or the past 3 years. Up to you. Be warned, you may be asked to provide all three years at the interview. But for NVC, it's either or.

As others have said, it's outdated. NVC is slow to update their correspondence and instructions sent out. The DS-260 (and DS-261) is required by everyone now, as of September 1st, 2013.

First one is applicable only for India.

The guy on the phone was wrong. You can only log into the payment portal and online forms portal using the NVC case number. The USCIS number won't work.

NVC can't reject or approve a petition. That's done at the interview. But, until you get everything needed for NVC, they won't complete your case. You can possibly request they close it without it and that you'll bring it to the interview, but if you still don't have it at the interview, you'll be put into AP until it's provided.

The UK is eligible for advance medicals as soon as the case number is assigned. You don't need to wait for the interview letter like most of the other countries have to.

Please don't call every hour!! Just once a day is fine!

Follow what MahVika said about calling, thats the fastest way to find out your case number as for the police clearance, i dont think they will reject ur petition but maybe u will get a checklist from nvc for your IV package, or it could also be that nvc wont mind but the consul who will interview you will not give u the visa unless u submit to the embassy the required document.

Actually im on the same boat :/ im still trying to get a police clearance from amsterdam, and it's taking forever for them to respond..

That could be mean, no police clearance no visa.

In NVC you will need to find out by calling every day your - Case Number and Invoice Number.

Then you go here:

And fill the DS-261 Choise of Agent and appoint your husband.

For that you will need:

1. Select one of the following roles that best describes your relationship to the case: Principal Applicant, Attorney, Petitioner, or Third-party Agent.
2. Enter the NVC case number located in the instructions that you received from the National Visa Center (NVC).
3. Enter the NVC Invoice ID Number provided to you by the NVC. The information is located in the NVC instructions you received. If your case was not handled by the NVC (because the petition was filed at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate overseas), you will not have an NVC Invoice ID number. Enter the principal applicant’s date of birth in YYYYMMDD format instead.
4. Click on the Sign In Button.

After that your husband will get email to pay AOS fee.

Just the green NBI clearance or if u have stayed in another country for more than 6months, then police clearance from that country is also needed.

I have a hard situation here. I lived in China for more than a year. But I'm not sure if I can get China Police Clearance because my last employer didn't want to give a reference letter to PSB (Public Security Bureau) in China. Right now, I am still trying to figure out someone who can help me with this in China. What if I can not provide China Police Clearance? Will they reject my petition even though it got approved last November??

Ayayay dont wait, be proactive and call call call call nvc and ask if they have already received your case..if they havent yet, call uscis and ask for the date when your case was shipped (or if they really have shipped it out)

Now that NVC already got your case but just dont have a case# yet, you should start calling NVC everyday or at least every other day now. You only need your USCIS receipt# when you call the NVC.

My husband, US citizen, called NVC today, and they got our case on Jan 3rd, 2014. But when he asked about the NVC number, the guy on the phone said that I can check the case with NVC# or USCIS#. I was surprised by this. Because everyone here had been saying that NVC# and USCIS# are totally different. The guy on the phone also said that our laywer should receive a package sometime next week.

Questions:

1. Is there a specific NVC website to check the petition using NVC case# (just like how it works with USCIS website)???

2. What's in the package that we're going to receive???

According to her lawyer she should have everything so sign into the ceac site and do the DS-260 ASAP. If you get a case complete by the end of January you may get a late feb or anytime March interview!

What do u mean with "a case complete?". I haven't heard anything from NVC, still waiting. And if I complete everything (including the DS-260), I might get a late February or March interview?? That long?!?!?!?

My husband is in the state, while I'm here waiting and taking care of our 2 year-old boy. And about Police Clearance, yeah .. I might get stuck with that. Oops I guess I haven't told you that I called China embassy in Jakarta and I called china consulate in Surabaya. They all said that they can't make Police Clearance. I still have to go to Beijing myself to apply one. That's why I'm looking for an trusted agent to process this on my behalf.
