  1. Case number is for you to track the progress of your case, wait til you receive NOA1 which usually takes up to a week which just indicates that USCIS received your case and nothing more, then you will wait usually months for NOA2. After receiving NOA2 they will give you instructions on what to do next but to be ahead of the game research the next step and have it ready for when you get approved :) hope this helps and good luck

  2. When sending in the proof especially the bank statement, is it ok to just send the pages that have both your names on the account rather than send the whole entire 9 page statement with all the transactions on it? i know its a small thing but i don't want it to be the reason for an RFE. any help would be great thank you in advance

  3. Does anyone know all the current fees that i have to pay when leaving the Philippines and how much? I am leaving on a CR1 visa if that matters in the fee or not. I know everyone pays the 550 pesos terminal fee but what other fees are there? I'm trying to prepare in advance so i'm not short handed on money or carry to much. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance and God bless

  4. Hi

    Good day!

Please help me on this one.

My flight is on November 16. I am flying MNL-PEK-JFK. My layover at PEK to JFK is just 1hr 40min. I am so nervous I might miss my flight for such a little time. And I have read that you got to go to 3 security checks with long lines that will consume so much time.

My question is, has anyone here had a same layover time in Beijing and missed or not missed flight?

Is my layover time sufficient to get to my next flight?

Do you have to really go through 3 security checks?

Is it easy to navigate Beijing International Airport? I will be landing at PEK Terminal 3 and depart at PEK Terminal 3.

Ill be traveling alone and it is my first international flight.

I am hoping for your guidance on this.

Thank you so much in advance.

  5. I got my visa three business days after my interview. But I have read in US Embassy form that you have to allow them 7 to 10 business days from the interview date, that is (hopefully) if you don't get an AP. And sometimes, since you are processing more than 1 visas (your fiancee and your son), not all visa with same interview date has same releasing date.

My husband got my ticket right after the interview date, and the flight is 30 days the day he got my ticket. So if there is any problem on the releasing of my visa or visa info on passport, we still got 30 days to fix it before my flight.

You have to consider CFO (if you still haven't got this), AP, and the correctness of your visa info on your passport in getting a ticket before visa on hand.

    I hope these info help.

    God bless!

  6. Is perfectly fine to come through a POE without paying that fee in advance.

The passport gets a stamp at the POE, that endorses the visa to be used as a temporary I-551 document, a temporary green card, for a year.

It's also perfectly fine to pay the fee after the POE date. IMO, it's easier, as the two humans are there shoulder to shoulder in front of a computer.

HINT: there's some papers attached to the OUTSIDE of the 'do not open' envelope. One of them is the 'Immigrant Data Summary' Page. COPY THIS PAGE, scan it, email it to yerself before going through the POE. The POE takes this page, and it's got all the info you need, to sucessfully file for a greencard and pay for it, at the ELIS website.

Wow, thank you! I did photocopy my Immigrant Data Summary Page. Thank you for the advice. :)

    God bless!

  7. Hi!

    Good day!

We already received our visa packet with our USCIS Immigration Fee instruction. I am just wondering what is the consequences if we are not going to pay it yet. Can I not travel to US?

It says in the instruction page that I will just not receive my Green Card until I have paid the USCIS Immigrant Fee.

Can we wait until I get there in the US before we pay for it? Will I be held in my Port of Entry by not paying it?

Because we are planning to pay for it when I get there in the US.

    Thank you for your help

    God bless!
