I dont know if it helps but i wanted to share my experience at the POE in Dallas. At last minute my flight was changed to enter through Dallas and it is so fast compared to others I have been at before. Line was short and fast. My case was a little bit different as my GC was approved while I was abroad and I did not know what to expect with immigration officer. When I got there and I showed my AP he seemed to know what it was and made me fill out an I-94, he was suuuper nice to me the entire time, after I filled out the form he told me I had to go through secondary inspection and it took them about 25-30 minutes to give me my passport back, they stamped it as paroled until jan 2016 but I am just waiting to get my physical GC and there wont be troubles anymore! The whole experience was a dream compared to what I expected... I am very pleased about it. Also... if you are still waiting for a decision is best to contact your congressman's office, they make the USCIS give clear and exact answers so fast! they were a blessing. I am so happy this is over for now. Good luck on your journey!

quick question if someone knows... i am still in peru and planning on coming back this weekend... my green card was ordered and produced yesterday... i have my AP with me but no GC since it was just approved... should i worry about going back?
-
Oh wow 2 days in a row people getting updates, that's amazing! Can I ask did you get asked to do another medical?
It is truly amazing! I did not go through another medical though... hope that helps!! Good luck!!!

Everyone! I just received an update that the new card is being produced! the last request we made was to the congressman's office yesterday! I am so happy after waiting sooo long! 11 months! i am glad this is over... at least for now...

Yes I did.
The IO was very nice but had to send me to secondary. She told me my husband could also come with me (we're same-sex).
It took no more than 10 minutes, they gave me an I-94 to fill out (weird, I thought they went "digital", but obviously the Port of Miami has not, yet...).
Fun fact: the line off the cruise ship was HUGE (many EU citizens from repositioning cruise). An IO pulled out several who claimed to be US Citizens (including my husband), and when I was sent to secondary by one of his colleague, he made a point of coming into the "secondary" area to tell me what I did was "sneaky". At tha point, I did tell him my husband is a US citizen, and that we are traveling as a "FAMILY". He kept arguing that he didn't like what I did, talked to another senior IO, and not even 10 seconds after that, approached me again to profusely apologize as he did not realize what the situation was. Having an IO apologize to you is close to seeing a flying unicorn (LOL!). I told him "no problem", and I was out in about 10 minutes, NO extra questions about "us", zero, zilch, zip, nada.
I am now "paroled" for a year (I'm assuming less decisions to be made next time I cross the US Border), but TRULY hope I get my GC soon!!! Waaay overdue!
That is awesome!! I am glad you had a fun experience! Crossed fingers for me! Hopefully everything will go smooth for me! Hope not to miss my connecting flight in miami! I hope we all get our GC soon!
-
Yup, went on a cruise for 2 weeks and was TRULY hoping I would get a txt and an email with an update, but nothing!
This is starting to get ridiculous...
Happy holidays, fellow waivers!
You used the advance parole right? how was it? i am going back to the US this saturday and i am a little nervous.
-
This is so ridiculous! I am currently back in Peru and left with no problems but goodness!!! The 6 month mark has already been passed for me! My husband is writing to the congressman because this is completely absurd! It is making everyone here so stressed when we should not be! I dont know what do to make something happen. I really really hope this can come before the year ends. I hope I can make a safe trip back to the US without any troubles at the immigration port. I brought my AP, marriage certificate, all NOAS and waiver interview letter. hope that is enough!
-
Congrats to everyone that are getting their GC ! Definitely hope to be receiving answers soon. I had an infopass and went to the uscis is salt lake and they said i as okay to travel with the combo card for the holidays then called twice to USCIS and they said the same. I met all deadlines to avoid any kind of delays and I got stuck in a limbo. This is incredibly disappointing. Nobody could give me an answer on why our cases were taking so much time. I really hope to get back and not have any kind of problems with the AP. Happy holidays everyone, i really hope to come back and find something on the mail or any kind of update

June 5th interview waiver... still nothing! 1 more day for the 6 month notice...
hope we hear something soon... this is so frustating

-
June 5th.... still waiting for an update

I am so excited everyone is getting updates!!!!! Hopefully the rest of us hear something soon!

Hello all, I actually went to the uscis in SLC a week ago because I need to go back to Peru by December 12th. They said i am in normal processing time because since I already had an interview back when I was applying for a K1 visa it was not necessary for me to go for another interview. I am freaking out because i did not want to use the AP to leave the country but since it is really an important event for my family I will take a chance, I did tell the officer that I submitted every paperwork on time so this whole situation would not happen. I filed back in February and as i was checking my case status the other day i started going back a few cases, let's suppose my case is (XXXX26) and I went back and found out that the case XXXXX20 was fully approved last friday 14th. I do remember that case number and mine were both in the same status, same dates, same updates, same everything last week. Hopefully I can receive my green card before I leave because everything is fully booked
I really hope this whole thing moves faster. It reminds me when I was in the k1 visa situation last year and all the centers practically stopped for 2 months and it delayed every single person on my timeline. -
Still waiting here, got my letter back in june
-
Congratulations to everyone!
-
Congrats to everyone who has received a green card notification! I am still waiting for some answer. I received a waiver letter back in june saying it will be delayed 6 months and my status is still on initial review since February 21st. Hope to hear something soon

I just wanted to know if there is anyone else at the national benefits center? mi local office is Salt Lake City, UT and apparently they are still processing cases from October 2013. I really don't know if that matters knowing that mine is being processed at the NBC and also that is still on acceptance. Should I call USCIS? or is this normal? I
-
I received my EAD card yesterday! i485 is still on initial review though....
-
We seem to have a similar timetable and my I-485 is also still on "Acceptance". I spoke to my lawyer about this and she said it is perfectly normal based on her experience. Sometimes, apparently, all you get is "Acceptance" then "Card/Document Production" without anything in between.
Thanks for that info! Do you know how much time would it take to see that card production though?
-
I just got my EAD from review to mailed and the AP is also approved, i am relieved on that part but worried my I-485 is still on acceptance and not even on testing and review

-
I am super worried
my I-485 is still on acceptance and the EAD and AP are still in received. I am getting super impatient as i see most of you got all the updates already
