  1. I'm a military spouse and have submitted my I-751 application in Sept 2015 and as you know, we don't get an ASC or biometric appointment notice since we've already submitted a fingerprint card.

I already called the MIL hotline and the customer service wasn't really helpful.

For those who have gone through the same situation, how did you track the status of your application?

  4. Forgive me: Not sure where to post this confused between Military Forum and this but this is specifically for my I-175 form.

    Hello everyone,

I am the K1 spouse that's for ROC. I'm filling out the form I-175 and not sure what to write in Part 1 Physical Address. My husband (in the military) and I are stationed here in Japan. Will I just put my husband's FPO AP Address? In the Mailing Address, I already put our FPO AP Address, but I'm just quite not sure what to write on the Physical Address part.

USCIS Military hotline is still closed so I'm checking to see if some members with similar situation of this wonderful forum can help me. Tried the "Search" function but doesn't really give me an answer.

Thank you very much in advance!

  5. I filed ROM in PH Consulate New York and April 1, 2014 was the Report Date. Got the documents 3 weeks after, with a receipt that they had encashed our payment with a Note: "Please Apply For Marriage Certificate from the NSO Within 6 months after issuance"

What is the meaning of this?

And now, I ask for Marriage Certificate in NSO and all they got was a Negative Result. Is this normal? When can I get a copy of our Marriage Certificate from the NSO?

  6. Hi everyone!!

We submitted the requirements for Report of Marriage to PH Consulate General - New York. Date of Report April 1, 2014.

Last week, we just received the return envelope from them. However, all the photos, are still there, the original form that we submitted was also there, the receipt saying it was encash, and with note "Please apply for Marriage Certificate from the NSO 6 months from the Date of Issuance"

Is this normal? They've returned our photos back! What about the note, what does that mean? UGH. very confused. Does this mean everything is okay now and we just need a copy of our Marriage Certificate from NSO??

    Thanks all for the help!

  7. Wow, as a service member I can't believe that so many people are unaware of all the support families of service members are entitled to. As a until recently single person, I can't think of how many hours I've sat thru briefings on all the support the married people are offered. Every base should have some sort of "Family Support Group" that offers counseling, financial advisors, etc. If nothing else the base chaplains are another place to start or every unit should have some sort of family liaison. Remember, the first step is asking the question.

Another good place to start is this website: http://www.militaryonesource.mil

Depends on your location. From where I live there's no nearby "Support Group" here for families with loved ones deployed. So pretty much I just joined support groups online like forums of militarysos, japanbases (as my husband is deployed in Japan), etc.

    Back to the OP..

What branch is your husband in? I can see your AOS is still pending. Have you tried calling USCIS to expedite your case? If your husband is land-based in Kuwait, you may opt to visit him during his 9-month deployment there once you got your AP or AOS approval. Meanwhile, I can see you're working, just stay focused on your work to keep yourself busy, and importantly, never lose communication with your husband. I talk to my husband everyday while he's in Japan over the phone or Skype. You can also browse Military Support group online too like militarysos.com, militaryspouse.com etc. and talk to spouse who's same situation as you.

  8. Goodthing everything went well with you. We are based here in Guam. My Husband was PCS here for 3years. We are also thniking what will happened if he was stationed in Japan and I will he staying in FL. When are you joining him in Japan? smile.png congratulations on your smooth journey with the GC:)

Thank you! I'm going to Japan on January 8th to finally join him. I have to wait for my Visa to arrive though as we Filipinos still need Visa when entering Visa Countries even though we have green card. Do you mean if your husband was stationed in Japan you will be staying in FL? Why not follow him Japan too?

  9. Hey guys! It's my turn to share good news about AP/EADkicking.gif

On December 10, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

It took 2 months from NOA-1 to approve my AP/EAD and now I'll be waiting for the track number from USCIS. smile.pngClockWatch2.gif

Good luck to all of us!

    Congratulations!!

Sharing another good news, Green Card just received this morning dancin5hr.gif

It was 2 months from the date I filed the AOS

  10. On December 6, 2013, your I131, APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT was terminated because you acquired status or the benefit being sought through other means. No further action will be taken on this case. You will be notified of the decision by mail.

I guess it's because my Green card is approved that's why they terminated it. Well this is a good thing but I worry because the status of my I-485 has changed from Card/Production to Decision Status :-/ I wonder if this is just a glitch

  11. Hi everyone. I'm back. I'm glad everyone is starting to get updates about their combo card. I was starting to lose hope because mine is still stuck. Until this morning, I check my I-485 and got this message:

On December 4, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

I guess I will be receiving my green card first before my Combo card! I'm soo thankful!!! Good luck to us!!

  12. My husband is stationed in Japan too but we got married in US. I had an online friend who's in the same situation like you, her BF (US Navy) cannot file a leave, so what they did was to get married in Japan. All she did was get a Japanese Tourist Visa, her Tourist Visa was valid for 90 days allowing them to prepare documents for the marriage.

But as of the moment, I haven't heard from her, I wasn't sure either if they really got married or not, but I believe and I THINK they really did as she never gets online now, I assume she has a new life now, and yea, already married.

my thoughts to you would be Contact both the Embassy of US in Tokyo, Japan and have your BF to talk to his Legal Command at the base that you intend to get married possibly in Japan.
