Unfortunately getting through to my husband's visa interview is just the first part of our journey. Then we will need to apply for a waiver. *sigh*

My husband and I didnt really live together before we got married. But I scrounged around for everything i could think of and find to send to evidence our courtship and marriage.
* We both wrote affidavits outlining our relationship (how we met, how it progressed, how we decided to get married)
* Affidavits from 2 friends who spent time with us, 3 of our parents, my sister, & my coworker
* A long summary of our daily skype calls
* A printout of our email list
* A printout of our chat logs
* Copies of cards we have sent each other (mostly that I have sent to him)
* Screen shots of facebook posts about my husband and with friends and pictures of us together
* I added him as an authorized user on my credit card and sent that info
* I made him the beneficiary of a life-insurance policy I have and sent that info
* I sent copies of emails between me and other people regarding plans with my husband's visits
* Screen shots of a message board we frequented together where we mention each other and interact a bit with each other (beginning 2 years ago)
* Many pages of photos with friends and family with us
* Print outs of emails - airline reservation/confirmation for flights to visit each other
* Copies of passport pages with entry/exit stamps
* Print outs of an email between my husband and my sister discussing ideas for my birthday present
I just got my NOA1 12/21 so I am just hoping this evidence is enough to prove the validity of our marriage!
Good luck!

I understand completely. My husband is 16 years younger than I am. We are waiting for our NOA2 also.
I have also read that a large age difference is a "red flag" but I am hoping that the evidence I have sent of our ongoing relationship counteracts any concerns. Really, I am not overly worried about it being an issue but it is one of those things that pops into your head from time to time.

Congratulations!!! A happy ending!

Ridiculously and nauseatingly lucky.
Oh to be so lucky!

The person updated their timeline to show they got their NOA2 today. If you check to follow a timeline you will get an email when it's updated. I have been watching people + or - 5 days from me. So far on here there have been 2 people from Dec. If you sort the timelines by NOA2 date you will see that.
LOL, I spend a lot of time examining the timelines here and sorting and examining length of time to get the NOA2.
But I often wonder .... are the people who are getting their responses so quickly getting them that quick because they put in for an expedite or are they just lucky?

I hope so!. I had not planned to go back to Turkey till he got his visa. But I didn't think the waiting was going to be this hard. So I gave up on that idea. My boss approved my vacation request today for 10 days off in March.
It's not much time but better than nothing. I see him everyday on skype but it's not enough.
I understand completely! I see my husband every day on skype and we talk on messenger for hours every night but it isnt the same. I know some people who are separated from their spouses and only speak to them once a week for a short phone call. I can't even imagine that! I am hoping to be able to visit my husband for a month this summer ..... I am already counting down the days!

I think I check my timeline here even more than i check the USCIS site .... and the predicted dates are gradually moving further and further away. It reminds me of when I was learning to swim and my father kept stepping backwards without me realizing it. My husband keeps laughing at me for checking so often, but I just cant help it!

Ok, so who else checks online every day to see if anything has happened with their case? (even though we know that it is realistically too soon for an approval to be there yet). And i check my timeline here at vj to see if my predicted adjudication dates have changed at all.

We mailed the I-130 on 12/17/12. It arrived to the Chicago Lockbox 12/21/12. We received an email 12/26/12 stating it has been forwarded to the NBC. I checked the website the same day and our case is in the system and came up as "Initial Review" .... really hoping it is on the shorter side of the time frame to get our NOA2.

Yep, and can be charged with misrepresentation. Risky thing to play with.
