both k1 and k2 visa are $240 per person. I had to pay $240 for my fiance son and he is only 1 1/2 year old.

I am so sorry to hear that. 3 months is a long time. Can anyone answer why does it take so long for AP status. I would bug the heck out of them and demand an answer. I don't think it's right. Did anything you suspect went wrong at the interview? We are almost at that interview process and am getting nervous just reading other people stories. It seems that our lives is determine by sometime the moods of these consulate which is not right.

Got an update..... Soge Bank was incorrect. He had to go back and pay for the k2 visa... We were able to turn in all of our paper work and have to return on 01/17/2013 for our appointment date. So nervous but God is good!

I Would like to hear from anyone that have completed their interview especally in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to tell me how fluent are the Consulate with the Creole language? Are most of them able to comprehend and interpret the Creole language fluently, or are these questions sometime asked in English? Because I know in most languages a K1 applicant my answer a question in a certain way, and it may be interpreted in another way by the Consulate which may result in a denial if the Consulate feels the individual is not telling the truth. I would also like to hear from people from other countries as well.

No he is Haitian, an the mother was Haitian (now decease)the bank rep had him to call the Consulate and he was advised the same thing by the Consulate, but he did not take the name of the Consulate he spoke to. He was advised that the only fee the child will pay is the taxes once departing from the country. I just don't know I don't want anything to delay this process.

My fiance went today to Soge Bank in Port-au-Prince Haiti to pay for the k1 and k2 visa only to be told that the only fee needed was for the k1 visa and not the k2 visa because the child is only 1yr old. Could anyone tell me if this is true?
