  1. I didn't have a problem for my EAD/AP card I married and I put the EAD/AP card in my married name, although my passport and booking of my flight was in my maiden name. I took a copy of my marriage cert and they were fine with it, actually they didn't even look at the copy!

For your case I don't know you will have to wait to see the card before deciding what to do. I am assuming it will be in your married name, but you should be fine any which way. You need to book your flight in whatever name your passport is in and if your GC is in your married name and doesn't tally, simply take a photo copy of your marriage cert and a copy of your GC letter! Enjoy your holiday and your GC and please relax not good for the baby! :)

Thanks Shell I understand! I'm just so paranoid ( nightmare my husband and baby is let back into the US but I'm not lol) I travelled on my EAD/AP Combo Card before as well but they are both in maiden name. I wasn't asked for marriage certificate either. I guess the A # is throwing me off because i'm thinking that all my information should correspond to the bio info for this number. Thanks for the advice. I will enjoy and keep the baby calmer than I am lol.

  2. So I received my Welcome Letter in the mail today yay! But my name is still represented on it as my maiden name. Now seeing this it lead me to assume my green card will be in my maiden name as well. Sigh when I first noticed the error shortly after I filed in June 2014 I wrote the USCIS who in turn wrote me back acknowledging the correspondence and indicating it will be rectified. I even saw on December 5th 2014 a name change notice update on my Case Status. My concern is how will this affect me using my married name for ID, DP and international travel. My passport is still in my maiden name and I would like to renew it in my married name. Now I'm confused if I should do this. I have already had my name changed to married name on my SSN. I'm keeping fingers crossed the GC is in my married name. I was really hoping to have some uniformity with my documents Urgh!!! got to "love" USCIS!

  3. Congratulations to all the approvals! I checked my case status and it changed form Welcome Notice Mailed on 27th April to Card Mailed today on 1st May. I'm so anxious I check the mailbox everyday Lol. I would at least think my Welcome Notice will be here by now. Oh well the wait continues but will be on a break from USCIS until time for Removal of Conditions. VJ community members still waiting hang in There. Wishing all a great weekend!

  4. I think that is why my husband was so mad about the advance parole when we went through Miami! They treat him like he was an illegal, "like" he pulled the advance parol card out his butt!

Also when we got our luggage and went through customs for our connecting flight, I went first, and told them that he was my husband, they ok'd for him to come through the glass doors ( they manually open it by pressing a button) and they closed the door on his face. He was so upset that he punched his luggage and they had to tell him to calm down that it was an accident.

My experience was at Houston but I've heard Port of Entry in Miami and New York is not always pleasing . Soon yall won't have to go through that anymore.

  5. So, you know how sometimes you're stupid, and you just want to see what other cases around yours are doing on the USCIS website? I just did that. One number below, and one number above our 6 applications. BOTH are delivered to the recipient. :( One back in November, and one last week. Sooooo disheartening. :(

I can totally Identify with this Identify stalk the USCIS Case Status updates and when there wasn't any change it used to upset my day. Hang In there and it helped me when I researched a little less then when the update came a total surprise.

  6. Enjoy and remember you can go into the fast queue at the airport instead of lining up with us ALIENS! Yeah I have green skin and talk weird, I just cover up my green skin for when the USCIS want me to look human like in my photos! :)

Lol! that's funny. You will get the Green soon It's coming! I'm definately looking forward to not having to use the travel document, standing in the visitors line and then going through secondary inspection. Although my first and last experience went smoothly and I took an hour in total from landing getting to my connection flight being pregnant untop of that. It feels great to know I can travel and enter together as a family.

  7. Yeah I was pissed off too when our NPIW time passed on Jan 11. Still waiting

Hey moving on sorry for the delays to you and other filers who are long over due for the green card. The process Is as exhausting! We have to satisfy all this criteria and prepare documents etc and then endure this, we aren't treated as priority. We can hope for change and be patient It will all be over soon.

  8. Well it took a lot of faith to get to this point but now you can step to the other side of the fence where the grass (and card) is greener. Congratulations!

It's been a green letter day at USCIS. WOW!!

Sure did take a lot of faith and patience, It feels great to be done with this step.

  9. Hi everyone,

I hope we are all doing well. I checked my USCIS CASE STATUS and it read " My new card is being produced...On April 25, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us.....". I made a service request on 6th April as 6months from recieiving the NPIW Letter passed. This process took 9 months from filing to get to this stage, I am looking forward to receiving the green card timely. How long does it take after this notice anyway?

All other VJ Community users waiting hang in there! There is a light at the end of the tunnel after all.:dancing::goofy: Congratulations to all other approvals.

  10. No need! I'll save you the time and trouble. *clears throat*

"Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing."

SIgh and the waiting continues.. thanks for the heads up!

  11. Isn't it! I look as financial aid as financial gain, not a loss!

    Welcome to the thread!

I am not sure if Ford Smith Field is your local office, but it wouldn't matter any way as most of our files go to a field office that aren't overloaded with cases, so you could find your file in California, Florida, Pennsylvania, or any where in the USA!

Omg that's ridiculous, I live in LA, AR is about 3hrs from where I am.

  12. I'm guessing Ford Smith is not your local office? If your case has made it to a field office there should be a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. How do you know your case is at the Ford Smith office?

Hi I spoke with a CSR on Friday who indicated this to me. She was in the process of putting in a service request before stating the system just went down.

I will be calling today again in a few mins.

  13. Hey guys!

Well my case has fallen outside of the normal processing time but I'm not surprised, given the heads up by other VJ members posts.

AOS was filed on June 23rd 2014 and the Notice of Potential Interview Waiver letter was dated 25th September 2014. .

Is anyone else on this forum AOS Case is being processed by Ford Smith Field Office AR?

I was hoping to get an idea of how long again of a wait I'm in for.

    Thanks a lot!

  14. Hey guys our last update was Dec 5th 2014 which indicated my name was updated on our case. We requested by letter all further correspondence and processing be issued in my married name in July 2014. it would be 6 months on March 25th 2015 since receiving the Interview Waiver Letter. We are hoping the green card is issued soon. Wishing everyone positive vibes and good luck. All the best.

  15. Hey guys! We had our AOS interview yesterday in Chula Vista, CA and it was an easy breezy one :dancing:
