  1. So this is totally off topic but I wanted to get everyone's opinions. I have been married to my husband for almost two years now and together since April, 2011. But the stereotypes I had to put up with from everyone and their opinions about Jamaican men were crazy!

    - He is just using you for your money- (I am in debt btw so I don't have any)

    - He just wants to come to the US (not sure he even wants to leave Jamaica to be honest but he says he is coming for me)

    - He just wants to stay in hotels and be pampered ( i am the one who prefers to stay in hotels while he insists that we stay at his yard)

    - He is unfaithful to you

So just wondering if anyone else has to fight those stereotypes out there. I read a lot of horror stories and I start to get scared. But we have been through a lot together- a miscarriage, my illnesses and struggles, financial difficulty, etc. My husband only asked me for money one time- other times he just wants t shirts or slippers, lol.

So how do we fight these stereotypes- or do we not bother and just be confident in our own relationships?

Sorry but this is something I've been struggling with since I met my husband and I just want to know if anyone else has to deal with this.

LoL...listen he's your husband..case close.....next time someone bothers you about the topic you ask them "IS THAT YOUR DAMN BUSINESS" and make sure to use your maddea voice too, if you dont know how just watch one of the maddea videos and you'll be fine....

  2. Now the only DHL I refer to is when people want to track their package to embassy. You are referring to Visa delivery that is embassy specific you need to go to the embassy website i would guess. Or go to your countries portal and look under the consular info and see how to sign up

I'm refering to that dhl tracking that I hear others mention, that the immigration officer ask for a dhl slip on the day of interview...but ill check their website...thank you...

  3. 2012? If you meant to say June 2013, then count me in. Am sure there are other folks still here from June, 2013. Hoping for a CC between 7/25 and 7/31 so that i can move up to the August/September interview thread soon.

2012 is correct Bismark, meaning when we first started the journey....

For the June 2012, I-130 filers group, it's been transmorgified into a 'Chasing NVC thread'. There's maybe 4 or 5 folk there keeping it active, throwing down on NVC activities. I invited them to come to this thread about 2 weeks ago and was summarily ignored.

  4. I received a RFE in June to redo AOS which I did and they reviewed it only to tell me yesterday that income doesn’t match tax transcript which is not true because I keep copies of every thing I sends them and I looked at what they says is the error and its exactly what’s on the transcript, I asked for a supervisor review but I don’t know how much that will help, my problem now is even if I should redo the AOS I still wouldn’t know what to put in the question since it was correct in the first place…

They said 13a.1, which is total income for 2012…..cray5ol.gifcray5ol.gifcray5ol.gif im going on 13 months now and still no case complete..

  6. Visa approved.

Should get my passport returned to me tomorrow. He said it would be taken care of today and send out today.

Usually takes 10 days. Can't recall what was said or happend. Neither what language was spoken.

    I'm nothing but tired now.

Congrats Sonjat and Lemajeca on your approval!!!!!!!! you guys have brightened my day today, that my husband's time will come tooooo.....also congrats neto on your case complete, Im sure im next..dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

  7. Thank you. Even while I have reached the interview stage, I have no feeling of well being until I have my visa.

Think about your health, I started exercising back in January and it helped me.

What is your hold up with AOS???

Sonjat I was sent a check list on the 11th of last month to redo the new I-864, I did what they said and returned to documents which they recieved on the 13th but to this date they still have not reviewed the documents....so im just here being humble and wait, I get tired of calling its affecting my health which hasnt been good lately, in the past two months i've done one MRI and two ultra sounds, i'm currently on 6 different medication and is constantly crying I need my husband here with me....its getting harder for both of us to cope, but its out of our hands so we just wait.....cray5ol.gifcray5ol.gif
